5 Chapter 5 : Special Mark.

Rose appearance had changed completely. Her unkempt hair was gone and was changed by straight and silky smooth black hair falling gracefully from her head to the back of her neck down to her waist. Her tanned skin before also became jade white and smooth.

Her body figure on the other hand didn't change that much and was still as curvy and elegant as before. Rose was only fifteen years old now so there's still plenty of time for her to grow. But even so, her appearance right now should have been enough to captivate any man that will see her.

Even Leon himself whom was an 'old monster' inside was still fascinated by Rose's beauty, much more the others.

But all of that was ruined by the black mark on her face. The mark was deep black and covered more than half of her face and was ruining her beautiful appearance.

" Le..Leon, why.. why are you not speaking? " Rose asked after she saw him stayed silent while staring at her face. She was nervous.

Leon snapped out of his daze state when he heard her say that. He smiled at her and said: " I'm sorry Rose. You're just so beautiful and it made me mesmerized. "

" B... Beautiful? Me? " Rose asked in confusion.

" That's right. You're beautiful Rose. More beautiful than what I have expected. " Leon replied seriously. He really didn't expect Rose to be this beautiful. The mark in her face wasn't able to stop his discerning eyes from seeing her real beauty.

" Rose, you don't have to feel disgusted about this mark on your face. Instead, you must be happy because this was the proof that you are blessed by the heavens. " Leon said as he continued caressing her face.

" Blessed by heavens? What do you mean about that Leon? How can having this mark make me blessed? " Rose asked in a doubting tone.

" Let's sit over there and I'll tell you a story. Leon said as he pointed at the table inside the room.

" Okay. " Rose replied and did what Leon said.

After the two of them took their seat, Rose look at Leon waiting for him to speak. She was really looking forward to hear what he will say next.

" Do you know what are the four major races in this continent Rose? " Leon asked.

Rose was confused on why Leon will asked such a basic question but she still answered. " Yes. Father taught me about it before. The most powerful race in the continent was the Elves, Beastman, Dwarves and finally us humans. "

" That's right. That's indeed the case today but do you know that wasn't the rankings before? "

" What do you mean Leon? " Rose asked confusedly.

" It's like this Rose. Around ten thousand years ago, the Elves, Beastman and Dwarves are weaker than us humans. Humans are the most power race in the entire Aksu continent. Leon woke up early and was now standing in front of the tree beside their house. He took a deep breath and the next moment..

After around ten minutes, he's done. A pile of chopped woods was in front of him. Leon put the small axe at the side and pick up a bucket before going towards the brook to take a bath.

Inside the house..

" Rose, are you awake? Please open the door." Leon said while carrying a bucket of water in his hand.

A hurried footsteps can be heard approaching from inside the room and the door opened.

" Good morning Rose. " Leon greeted her.

" Ahh! Leon what are you doing here? Good morning too. " Rose replied as she smiled at him brightly.

" I brought you some water so you can wash your face. After you're done, immediately head towards kitchen so we can have our breakfast. "

" Okay. Thank you Leon. " Rose said before kissing him on the cheek. She then hurriedly took the bucket from his hands and hurriedly entered her room.

Leon didn't expected her to do that but he just smiled before turned around and left. ' It's nice to be back. ' He thought to himself.

After awhile, Rose finally came out and when she arrived at the kitchen, she saw Leon preparing the meat from last night. It seems like he just finished reheating them.

" You came just right. Come take your seat and have your breakfast. I'll bring you to a special place later. " Leon said when he saw Rose arrived.

Rose did what he said and sat in front of the table before she look at Leon and asked:" What special place Leon? "

" The place I got the rabbit and chicken from yesterday. "

" Ahh! I almost forgot about that. "

" It's fine. Just take your breakfast so we can leave after that. "

The two of them then started to eat the leftover meat from yesterday. After that, they wash the utensils the two of them used before leaving the house and started walking towards the Dust Forest.
