Wondering...

Present Time...

The room was basked in warm sunlight, reminding the times when there was still hope. Tucked in a corner of the room was a shadowy figure of a lady, possibly past her prime but yet, seemed oblivious to the cruel harsh fate that had befallen her. The once elegant demeanor which existed before is now replaced with baffling innocence. She behaves as if she was a child, timid but with a strong sense of curiosity as her attention drifted to watch the picturesque view of the blossoming garden from the two pane windows. It is rather unfortunate that today she will be confined indoors due to an unpleasant incident arising from her outburst this morning. Nobody knows the history of her life which has imprisoned her in the current child-like state. Perhaps the fact that no one knows is an understatement. The lady seemed to sense a sudden presence in the room and tears her gaze away from the garden which has pique her interest before. A tall stranger with unruly black hair and draped in midnight colored attire, as somber and reflective of his powerful aura entered. He is the only one closest to her who she readily gives all her brightest smile and he swore that vengeance will rue the day. It would not be long now. The stranger blinked in surprise as the lady jumped into his arms for a warm embrace. Like a child who expresses her delight, he gladly returns the gesture as his mind wanders to reminisce memories of the past. "Princess, I wonder...wouldn't it be interesting to play with the prey to the point of desperation and savour such moments first?". The stranger releases the lady from his embrace and taking a hairbrush, started to gently comb her beautiful golden locks. After a few moments have passed, he patted her head and slowly left the room.
