Where it begins!!

So here I in front of my space jet. It looks really cool just like frigate from eve online MMO I used to play with. Previous me was in rush to create it so right now it only has warp drive and the chassis in the design.

Previous me didn't want to add too much stuff so right now the space jet is the size of a small truck but I know that I need to have enough supplies to be able to hold on for at least one year in space and I need to include different weapon systems that are approved by the government in it. The main concern is that my spacesuit has still not been made.

"Let's buy a new spacesuit and hope that i will still have funds left after it"

I opened my mobile and watched many different spacesuits available in the market. They have many different categories depending on the need, for example, a cheap spacesuit is only needed to look cool and as the cost increase more functions seem to find their way in it.

Planetary exploration requires special spacesuits which can protect one from the elements of that other planets. Spacesuits can also act as armor in case of any alien lifeforms attacks. Even though aliens have still not been confirmed but they can easily be changed after the launch date. It will also be a race to see who first reports alien lifeforms to the earth federation and go down in history as the first person to have contact with aliens.

"Looks like this one is just in the budget" I saw the spacesuit offered by SpaceX which is just right for planetary exploration but is still good-looking though it is a little bit more costly than expected. Then I checked my mail and sure there were many emails from different organizations for the requirement. I was still a little confused why the previous me didn't join any organization so I checked out the contract.

"Holy S..." Now I can understand why previous Avi rejected the offers of top cooperations. The contract states that if any discovery made in space by any individual, their achievement will be recorded as their cooperation achievement, not as their own. Any relic or mines found by the individual automatically becomes that of the cooperation and they offer less than a thousand dollars to the finder. That's is also why many of his friends are creating their own space jets in a group of three to four people.

Avi also wanted to make one with his friends but he didn't trust most of his friends combined with his introverted character and with the space constraint, it was reasonable to go solo. The total cost of warp drive was about two hundred dollars and it takes any matter as fuel so it was no problem but constructing chassis have cost about ten thousand dollars to him and still counting and now he was left with just over ten thousand dollars more for rest of the equipment.

Weapon modules are costly but necessary in deep space exploration even the cheapest one starts at two thousand dollars and its load cost about five dollars each. It seems my money problem has followed him from the other universe.

Money aside looks like my parents are not supporting him for his venture into space. Space travel is still new and can be difficult and many problems can arise. But still, I want to go out and explore.

Looks like I need to start modifying this spacecraft for now. Hopefully, I can still make my own modules and sell them online for extra cash for now. But I still need to expand my cargo bay to add these modules.

Time-lapse 3 months later:

Standing out with all the other space jets on road is really a different feeling. looks like every other house has their own space jets and are ready to launch. I have completed my own space jet and it looks amazing from outside. All the new modules that I have added really make life easier. My space jet can handle have stored rations for at least 3 years and carbon dioxide is being recycled using plant modules that are placed at the back of the space jet. there is a whole air circulation system to properly ventilate the cabin room and the solar panel module has been ready to be used once we reach outer space. there are some rumors that NASA has modified the warp drive to also acts as a power source but it has still not been verified.

"Robo call Swapnil "Robo is my new Ai assistant for the travel. the source code has been uploaded on GitHub by large cooperation to acts as assistant pilots. Swapnil was the only person the previous me could call a trustworthy friend so I called him to see if we can explore together for the beginning of the journey. He replied positively as he also has been searching to team up with other space jets to get hang of space before they all go solo. Since then we have contacted each other several times already.

"On it sir"

It is still an hour before the launch. Streets are full of people preparing items and checking their system for the last time.

"Yo Avi are you ready"

"Yeah, where do we meet after the launch"

and so it began.....
