19 Opposite worlds

[Hassu/The Lich POV]

I was too engrossed tearing that beetle's wings apart, the crunch it made and watching it's life flicker from it's black eyes made me feel joyous.

I don't know why, I was never the type to laugh at these things, or even torture poor things like it-it probably wasn't that innocent considering it killed two of our MTF. One was even kind to calling Iris's name without the number.

The worm had caught me by surprise, tried swallowing me whole and the beetle got crushed in my hand in the worm's attempt to eat me.

As I fall into the endless pool, time seemed to be long. If you were in a portal like a tube being pulled through, and seeing different colors, you'd feel sick. But here, it was only green.

I thought I would fall forever here like Loki, but I was surprised when my vision suddenly shifts as I was thrown up in the air like being spat out and landed hardly on a cold hard floor.

"it didn't hurt… guess that's perks for having no nerves." I said.

I look up, a squared barrel pointed in my face.

I traced the barrel upward and seeing a humanoid like entity, they looked human alright, but their fingers were eight, their skin rich black, I could vaguely form a weird mouth in their face. It made a clicking sound.

I look around, there was a lot of them. They wore bright blue vest of some kind, and had strange rifles, The barrel and shapes of the rifle was square instead of circular.

Believe me or not, but their vests looks like plastic.

'This is certainly nothing like I remembered about other scp's…' I thought.

He- or she, I can't tell the gender difference from their race. So out of respect, I'll call them an it.

It made clicking sounds from its mouth, others around him did too, but I understood nothing. I stood up, they all suddenly pointed their rifles at me.

"I'm not an enemy." I said. Hands raised in the air.

I was sure they couldn't understand what I was saying, but when I raised my hand in the air. It seemed to calm them as some lowered their weird rifles, at least that was a understandable.

Another of their kind, with a white coat, walked towards me. It held a ball with lightning inside in it's left hand. Like the ones where you put your hand on and your hair starts to float.

It spoke, this time I could understand him. Him, because his voice was manly.

"Please follow me and don't try to attack us."

I nodded. "I won't. I don't harm anyone."

He started walking as I followed behind. We were in cave and I couldn't help but look at his fingers. I know I have big hands, but damn. Eight was a lot.

"You don't feel nauseated?" he asked.

"I'm fine. Why?" I replied.

There was a silence before he answered.

"Usually people who go through the portal experience that. Or ████."

I raised my dead muscle eyebrow. What did he just said? I didn't even understand it.

"Or what?"

"Oh, you cant understand it?" he says, looking at me.

"No… I can't."

Of course, different world and different languages would exist. Just surprised there was a portal leading here.

"Huh, usually people understand that. Anyway, what are you?"

"I'm uh.. a Lich."

"A what?"

"A Lich."

He shakes his head in disapproval.

"Oh, you can't understand it, too?" I asked in surprise.

"Yes. The translator isn't exactly that accurate." He says looking at the ball.

The electric ball was a translator, wow. How would that even be possible. Oh well, I guess a midget brain like me wouldn't understand for now.

I tried to think of other words for Lich. One came up on my mind.

"What about skeleton?"

"Yes, I can understand that. So you're dead?"

"An undead."

He understood that one as he nods.

When we were outside, it was night time. The moon was high, and there was vehicles that were similar on earth. Some vehicles looked like they came out from an old comic book that looked futuristic.

He guided me a to a small encampment Nearby. There was a lot of them, holding their squared rifles and looking at me while surrounding a block of ice.

I was stunned, wasn't it suppose to be a campfire? Heh, campice. Nah, it sounds too cringe.

The white coat guy made clicking sounds, talking to them. They nodded and he looked at me.

"If you will be so kind to follow these ████ to a truck, we won't have to do any force on you. My assistant will be you." He says, as his mouth begins to produce another clicking sound as another one of them came at his side.

They talked for a while before the white coat tells me to follow their armed personnel.

To be honest, I wouldn't even follow them if I could use my abilities, but I couldn't. I think I ran out of magic or mana. And I don't want to test if the bullets could kill me, this was a different world after all, the laws of physics and all that stuff would be different.

I had to be extra careful, and I don't want to exactly return back for now into my original world. Its probably being attacked as of this moment.

I look back at the cave, then climbed on their truck. The assistant was a holding the translator as the engine roared to life. We began moving out again. It felt like déjà vu.

Everyone was looking at me now, still weird. What are even these guys.

"What's your desired preference?" The assistant asks.

"My what?" I looked at him. "I understand that, but what do you mean by preference?"

"What do you want to be called?"

"Just Lich."

The truck stopped and everyone got out. A trail of train tracks stretched over the horizon, and a train was parked here. It was long and has four carriages.

One of them made a clicking sound, the assistant turned to me and spoke:

"Please follow us, Lich. We'll have to escort you at a safe place."

I followed them into the train, when I got inside and tried to sit, I almost slid off. It was too short to carry all my butt. So I just stood.

The train started, and two armed blue armored personnel was watching me at the end of the cart.

"What is your kind?" I asked.

The assistant looks at me.

"can you understand ████?"

I shake my head in disagreement.

"Then what about ████?"

"Can't understand that either."

"Hmm… most would understand that." He adds, "What about Krekel?"

"Yes, I can understand that."

"Good, then you can call me Wick."

On the way, we kept talking about how I came to this world, and why I was not feeling nauseas. Since, most who did came from the portal always that sickness.

I guess it's probably because a cosmic being, just nerfed at this point. And I still need to get my powers back. If try to cast a fire right now, I don't think it would be big. I need a source to refill back my powers.

The trains windows begins to darken as shadows stretched over our feet. I could see the view of the trees from early disappeared, replaced with a dark brown walls of a cave and then a metal wall.

We arrived at their facility.
