Chapter 12
-[Kaito]-
[Chakra Rotation has leveled up]
*Pop!* *Splash!*
Another water balloon popped in his hand, soaking his hand as he stood in front of a stunned Jiraiya.
"You've got to be kidding me!" The man exclaimed, putting another water balloon in the boy's hand.
Kaito's eye visibly twitched. "This is getting old really fast."
"No complaining! Again!" Jiraiya yelled, tossing him another one, ignoring Kaito's dry expression.
While the man's shock was amusing, it lost its charm after the tenth balloon he popped. 'Either way, it's leveling up the skill quickly.' He thought.
[Chakra Rotation] was currently at level 4 and it would only increase as time went on.
-[Jiraiya]-
He couldn't believe his eyes.
Watching Kaito effortlessly pop another water balloon, he couldn't help but wonder.
'Does he already know how to perform the Rasengan?' That was one possibility but it didn't seem likely judging by the boy's shocked expression when he saw him perform it.
Naruto didn't learn how to pop the balloon for days and he figured it out after seeing it once.
'Even I didn't learn it that fast!' He complained internally as Kaito popped another water balloon with a dry expression.
'He might be even more talented than Minato…' Suspicion was a part of the ninja lifestyle. Though a part of him was suspicious, he couldn't help but be stunned either way.
-[Kaito]-
It didn't take long for Jiraiya to get himself under control as he opened another scroll, unsealing it as rubber balls popped out.
"Do you just carry a bunch of balls and balloons everywhere you go?" Kaito couldn't help but ask.
"Since you completed that stage…" Jiraiya began speaking.
"Don't ignore the question." Kaito complained only for the man to do exactly that.
"…we'll move on to the next stage." He said, picking up a ball.
"This is just like the previous stage but unlike the balloon, there is no water inside this." As he said that, the ball began rumbling as Jiraiya's chakra struggled inside before bursting.
*PAH!*
"The ball is much thicker than a balloon." Jiraiya said with a smug look on his face as he tossed a ball to Kaito.
Using [Chakra Rotation], he watched as…nothing happened to the ball. He frowned, adding more chakra as bumps slowly started appearing on the surface of the ball.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Jiraiya's smug expression crack as the bumps started appearing.
With [Gamers Body], chakra burns weren't something he had to worry about…hopefully.
The Rasengan was a technique better suited for people with large chakra reserves. Slowly increasing the amount of chakra, he watched as the bumps became more prominent and the ball shook in his palm.

*Pop!*
Unlike Jiraiya, instead of the entire ball bursting, a hole was popped open at one end of it, letting the air out.
"Looks like you'll need to practice." Jiraiya said with a grin as he packed up the rubber balls, resealing them into the scroll before tossing it to him.
'Don't look so smug.' Kaito thought dryly as he caught it.
"I'll be in the village for a little while. Come and find me when you finish this stage. If I'm not here, Naruto should be able to teach you the last step." Jiraiya said before turning around and leaping off the building.
Kaito only arched a brow before looking down only to not find him. With an exasperated look, he climbed down the building and through the window back into Kakashi's hospital room.
"Where's Pervy sage?" Naruto asked bluntly in confusion.
Kaito shrugged. "Beats me. He had to go somewhere."
They then noticed the scroll he was holding. "Where did you get that?" Sakura asked in confusion.
"The pervert gave it to me before disappearing. Something he wants me to study, I guess." He answered vaguely.
He noticed he had grabbed Kakashi's attention with his answer as well as the scroll but the man didn't say anything regarding it.
"Well we're probably going to see a lot of each other. I was going to ask you to show me the jutsu but you already did." Kakashi said, referring to the [Flying Thunder God]. "I apologize for what you had to go through."
Whether they thought he was tortured during his time with Danzo, he didn't know but it didn't matter anymore. Danzo was caught and a thorn in his side was gone. It was only a matter of time before they got what they needed from Danzo and the man would be executed.
"You didn't do anything wrong so you have no reason to apologize." Kaito said, waving it off.
The anger on Naruto's face was visible anytime Danzo was referenced. Seeing this Kakashi sighed, changing the topic.
"Now that you're here, where will you stay?" He asked.
Kaito was about to speak when he paused. "Eh?"
"Huh?" Naruto and Sakura looked confused, not understanding what he meant. It took a full minute before they realized what he meant.
-[Later]-
He gave the blond boy beside him a disgusted look as he looked around the apartment.
There was no semblance of cleanliness or orderliness in Naruto's apartment. Littered on the floor were empty food packets, used plates, miscellaneous trash items and even some underwear.
His eye twitched as he saw a roach crawl in between the trash. "What is wrong with you? How do you live in this?" He asked his twin who scratched his head sheepishly.
"Uh…hehe.." Naruto had no words as Kaito restrained himself from using [Purple Lightning] at full capacity.
'This needs to be destroyed.' Kaito thought, his eyes twitching.
Seeing another roach crawl out of the piles of trash was the last straw. "I'll be back in a few hours." He said, activating [Flying Thunder God] and teleporting away.
He found himself above the hospital Kakashi was currently lodged in. Seeing as Kaito didn't have a place to stay, it was recommended that he stay with Naruto until living arrangements could be sorted out.
It was easier said than done when the place looked like it had never seen a broom.
Letting out a sigh, he set down the scroll that he'd been carrying so far on the ground and unsealed its content.
He took one of the rubber balls in his hand and began channeling his chakra. The concept was exactly the same as popping the water balloon. The only difference was that there was no water to tell him how exactly he needed to move his chakra or how much chakra to push in.

*Pop!*
Like previously, a hole was popped into it rather than the ball popping as a whole.
Taking another ball, he started afresh. He recalled that Naruto needed to use clones to form a Rasengan. That was a crutch he didn't want to lean on.
He lost track of how long he stayed up on the roof, the only indication of time passing being the occasional notification from the system and popping of the balls.
With each attempt, he was getting closer and he knew it.
"So you're the one who's been making all that noise." A voice said from behind him.
He didn't need to turn around to know who it was. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed recovering?" Kaito asked the white haired man who stood behind him.
"I can manage to climb a few stairs." Kakashi said nonchalantly. "The Rasengan, that's what lord Jiraiya is having you learn, isn't it?"
It was more of a statement than a question. The pile of the remains of the rubber balls he had popped were more than enough proof. Luckily, there were more than enough of it in the scroll, as if Jiraiya expected him to take that long.
"Yeah. I've almost gotten it down…I think." Kaito said in an exasperated manner.
*POP!*
He was getting very close to the whole ball popping like Jiraiya demonstrated. The hole that popped into the ball was much bigger but it wasn't enough.
Kakashi looked on in amazement. "This kid…didn't you start learning this today?"
"Yeah?" Kaito asked, intentionally oblivious to what Kakashi was trying to imply.
The man let out a sigh. "You know, people would be happy to get this far in one day." He deadpanned as Kaito popped another ball.
It was less of one day and more of a few hours but neither of them pointed it out.
"They may be happy but I hate leaving things half-done. So until I learn this jutsu, I can't rest." Kaito said truthfully.
That was just how he was. Back on Earth, jutsu and chakra didn't exist so being able to use them was too fascinating. He had many things he wanted to test out and other things he wanted to try.
The lifespan of an Uzumaki is considerably longer than a normal shinobi, Mito was a perfect example. And he was sure that with enough points in Vit, he wouldn't need to go the Orochimaru route.
He was brought out of his trance by Kakashi letting out a sigh. "I guess it's funny in a way." The white haired man said cryptically.
"What is?" Kaito asked, genuinely curious.
"Naruto has Minato-sensei's looks but acts like Lady Kushina while you have Lady Kushina's looks but act like Minato-sensei." Kakashi explained.
"I guess it's weird when you look at it like that." Kaito said, noticing the irony.
"In a few days, I'll be training Naruto using a new method. Though you don't have as much chakra as Naruto, you have enough that it would be useful. Consider it an apology for not finding you all this time." Kakashi said solemnly.
Kaito knew the kind of person Kakashi was, or at least he hoped he did. The Kakashi from the show already earned his respect but the one before him earned even more respect from him.
He blamed himself for not finding him after he was taken by Danzo. Logically, it wasn't his fault but loss after loss had a way of weighing down the mind and for someone who had been through all that, Kakashi was still standing.
"I won't reject your help but like I said earlier, you don't need to apologize for anything." Kaito told him.
"In that case, I'm going to teach you a jutsu right now. It's the one Naruto specializes in and it's the key factor in this training method." Kakashi said, pausing to build suspense.
"The Shadow Clone Jutsu."
