Chapter 30

"Wait...did she actually just leave you guys like that?" Zushi said, amazed by the turn of events.

Killua replied with an unimpressed look, "Yep."

"I honestly thought we were doing a collaboration training but well, let's start by seeing your nen." Wing finally said, after getting used to the shock he was having. He didn't know what he was expecting when he came here but he sure wasn't expecting to get all the teaching responsibilities dumped to him.

But since Sachiko had already left, it was a bit pointless for him to regret it now. So, Wing decided to focus on training the two kids.

"So...how long have you been able to use nen, Killua kun and Gon kun?" He asked.

"I've had it for like nine days." Killua answered.

"And I just got it two days ago.." Gon replied sheepishly.

"Wait..you actually opened the nodes in like seven days?!" Zushi exclaimed.

"Yeah...I mean Killua also took only six days.." Gon said with another sheepish smile.

"....and...to think that I took three whole months...you two are monsters.." Zushi felt like the gap between their talents was just too much..

"You both are extremenly talented to be able do it in this short period of time." Wing said with a nod, "Do you mind showing me your current progress?"

"Okay, Killua, can I go first?" Gon asked.

"yeah, sure."

So, Gon showed his Ten he had been working on for the last two days and Wing was impressed with what he did in the limited time.

Then, it was Killua's turn.

Killua's Ten was much better than Gon's since he had more time than Gon but also he was training in his own pace. Wing was really impressed with Killua's Ten.

"Both of the Ten you showed just now are amazing although it still has a lot of room for improvement." Wing said.

"That's to be expected. We just started learning it after all." Killua replied, crossing his arms.

"Yeah, but we're really excited to learn more!" Gon said.

"I'm glad to hear that, Gon kun." Wing said, "So, how many of the basics have you been covered?"

Killua answered, "Eyepatch lady taught me Ten and just told me try to keep it on for as long as I can as a training."

"Same for me." Gon said.

"That's one way to train Ten." Wing said, "Is there anything else she taught?"

"Not really. She said when we get better, she will teach us other techniques." Killua replied.

"I see, well, let's revise the basics and what you've been taught so far before going to do endurance training." Wing said. He decided to get to know how much exactly the kids had actually learned in theory and basics before getting into any real training, especially since Sachiko, their teacher, wasn't here and he was suddenly in charge of them, even if it was temporarily.

After a series of questions and answers, Wing found that Sachiko actually taught them pretty well, at least in basic theories although she had yet to properly introduce them to anything other than Ten. But since the two kids had just got nen recently, it was completely normal to focus on Ten first.

They then ended up doing some endurance training and it was going pretty well, until Sachiko came back.

"Heyy kiddos! where are yall? I brought snacks!!!" All of them heard Sachiko's voice across the hall and Wing could see Killua sighing.

A while later, Sachiko popped into the room while carrying a bunch of bags. When she saw Wing and Zushi still with Killua and Gon, she was a bit surprised.

"Uh..I kinda forgot you're doing the training here.."She said. "But hey, I got snacks." She then proceed to shake the bags as if to emphasize the existence of them, not that it was needed since the sheer number alone made it impossible to ignore.

"I'm hungry so that's great!" Gon said cheerfully.

"Well, that's great. I got..cake, cookies, donuts..and other snacks." Sachiko handed them a few bags and Killua eyed at her suspiciously.

"What did you do?" Killua asked, not trusting her.

"Huh, what do you mean?"

"You're not this nice. Why would you buy that many snacks for us for no reason?" Killua said his reasoning.

"Well, I was in a mood to spend some money so I went to a bakery and stood in line to buy some coffee and cookies, then an a**h**e suddenly decided to cut in line. I of course, told him to get in line very nicely, and when he did, I bought everything from the bakery so that he wouldn't get to eat anything from that particular bakery, and then I felt like I was in the mood for some charity stuff so I went to all the bakeries in this city to buy everything they got as well and gave them for free on the streeet, well, except for that a**h**e who thought they could cut in front of me." Sachiko added a very dramatic tone to her story, which further strengthened Wing's theory of her missing a few screws and unimpressed look on Killua's face.

"Seriously, you think that's petty? How immature." Killua sighed.

"Come on, you gotta see his expression when he realized he wasn't getting any cupcakes. Dude must have been craving cupcakes so much and then nope! He won't get to eat any. And not tomorrow either coz I paid one million jenny to each of the bakeries to exclusively open for me for the whole week."

"But that's like hundred of bakeries. Wouldn't you be spending too much money???" Finally, Zushi couldn't help but ask.

"Just around hundred million. I can make the money back so it's not big of a deal." Sachiko replied.

"Rich..." Zushi muttered.

"Anyways, how's the training going? I hope they're doing well?" Sachiko said after giving them sweets.

"They are doing very well." Wing replied, while he took a cookie Killua was handing him.

The three kids were stuffing their face with cakes and cookies as well while Wing and Sachiko discussed a bit about the training.

"I'm glad to hear that! Wing san is really reliable" Sachiko said with a smile. "I hope Zushi is also having fun training with Killua and Gon."

"They're getting along pretty well." Wing said with a nod. "So, how should we continue the training? I believe you're preparing something special?"

"Oh..that..yeah, of course." Sachiko said and Wing suspected she even forgot what she said before leaving the two kids with him.

'Why did I even come here in the first place?' He thought as Sachiko turned to the two kiddos to mess around.

--------------------

In the end, Wing went back with Zushi after eating the sweets and would come back a week later for another training session. Meanwhile, Sachiko agreed to teach Killua 'Ren' and Gon as well if he improved his Ten to her standards. It was just that Killua seemed to be a little more talented than Gon since he had decided to focus on his strength and not to mention, he started learning nen earlier than Gon. So, naturally, Sachiko couldn't teach them at the same pace at the same time or one would be held back.

'...Why do I feel like by pushing Killua to focus on his own strength, I created more troublesome work for me?...' Sachiko thought, a little annoyed at the thought of more work.

Regardless, she felt that Killua was doing better than in canon and was glad that he wasn't being held back by letting Gon decide his pace. She remembered feeling really annoyed when Killua decided to pause his nen training that time Gon got injured in Heavens Arena and couldn't use nen for three months, while she was watching the anime.

But now, it is different. Even if Gon were to get injured and couldn't train for a while, Killua wouldn't pause his own training. It didn't mean he wouldn't care for Gon, she knew he would. It was just that Killua's priorities changed a bit and he was now driven by his new purpose.

'Thinking like that, I feel better. Yeah..I did a good job.' Sachiko thought to herself.

---------------------

The next day, Sachiko decided to go back to Heavens Arena to make some more money so she took Killua with her to bet on her.

"Hey, eyepatch lady, don't you think you should at least give some of the money you won? You're using me to bet on yourself. Do you know how dangerous it could be when we are busted?" Killua said on the way.

Sachiko stopped her tracks and turned to look at Killua, then smiled, "I guess you and Gon owe me rent, food money and tuition fees then. But since I kinda adopted you, I'll give you a discount. How's one billion sound to you?"

"One..one billion?! How would I have that much money? And why would it be that expensive?!!" Killua exclaimed, feeling indignant.

"Well, first of all, you have your own room at a 800 million mansion, unlimited wifi and acess to almost every room in the mansion, free snacks and clothes, etc. And do you think you can find someone to teach you nen easily? I'll tell you even if you give millions, you might not necessarily find out the existence of nen, let alone get lessons on it. So, no, one billion's already a discount." Sachiko said. While she didn't actually know if that was the case for getting taught nen, she figured it could be pretty close, since not every rich people in the world knew nen.

"...Fine, I guess you're right. But I don't have one billion." Killua said.

"Then, you better bet on me with your own money so that you can make money like me. I'm letting you know if I plan on winning a match or not so it's not like you will lose your money." Sachiko said.

"That's true. Alright, I'm betting ten thousand on you today."

"Don't you think it will take too long to get to one billion if you bet too small amount?" As Sachiko asked Killua didn't meet her in the eyes. "That's all I have left."

"Where did you spend the rest of the price money?" Sachiko found herself asking as she knew for a fact that Killua was already at 110th floor. So, he should at least have one million.

"Spent it on choco robots and games." Killua replied.

"Makes sense." Sachiko nodded understandingly at the answer.

"So, you winning today?" Killua asked.

"Yeah, I'm kinda getting bored so might go up to 200th floor. Or, at least, 180th floor today." She replied.

"I thought you wanted to make more money." Killua muttered to which Sachiko replied with, "Money doesn't mean anything if I'm repeating the same boring cycle. I'd rather have fun."

"I guess that sounds like you." Killua muttered to himself. Sachiko chuckled and messed with Killua's fluffy hair, "I'm glad my brother's getting to know me better!"

Killua didn't even try to stop her from messing his hair. He didn't react at this point as he now knew Sachiko loved when he was annoyed. He wasn't about to give her the satisfaction of annoying him.

-----–-----

Sachiko ended up taking a detour to a bakery when Killua wasn't annoyed.

"Remind me why I am here..." Killua said as he got dragged to a bakery instead of Heavens Arena.

"You're getting free food." Sachiko replied as she looked at the menu.

"Good point." Killua proceeded to look at the menu then ordered everything on the menu.

"....if you don't finish all of it, I'm not paying." Sachiko said.

"You underestimate me, eyepatch lady."

"..Maybe that's because you don't look much. I mean can you blame me?" Sachiko retorted and Killua got annoyed, which made her really happy.

"....." Killua sat there and ended up pouting with his arms crossed.

Sachiko ordered two large iced latte and brownies as she was in a good mood now.

They ended up enjoying their little breakfast.

Until a certain magician walked into the bakery.
