9 Chapter 9 The flames that bind

Aaron's POV

Sam tells me about the demon that they had to exercise on a plane and how Dean freaked out. I had to tell him that if he didn't calm down and a center him self that he would be a perfect target to become possessed. I did not freak out. I just prefer the company of my baby is all Dean says. Right that's all I say. We stop at a diner somewhere in Nebraska (about half between Colorado and Iowa). We sit down and the waitress completely ignores me. Can I get you gentlemen anything to drink. Before the boys can answer I say I would like some coffee as sweetly as I can while making eye contact with Becky. She adverts her eyes. Dean clears his through and says Sam and I will have coffee too. She says okay and winks at Sam. Dean looks at me and says in a series tone you need to rain it in lady or your going to get hunters on us in a heart beat. What do you mean Sam asked. Well lover girl over here was pushing some crazy vibes and her eyes went black and red for a minute. I am not lover girl I protest turning beat red, also I didn't know my eyes changed color. Truth be told it did make me mad that the waitress totally ignored me and was off ogling Sam, but I'm not telling them. She brought coffee for the boys and that's all. Totally ignoring me and not looking at me. I'm so mad I see red. Ummm Aaron I hear Sam's voice far away and it brings me to the now. I snap out of what ever the hell that was. Yeah Sam what's up I say. Do you need to cool down. Your making it a little warm in here meaning you melted your spoon you were holding he says. Oh shit I'm so sorry. I think it may be best for you guys to order for me and I'll go for a walk. Just don't say it's what I want, please or I may not get it like the coffee. I would like the biscuit and gravy with a bacon omelet please. I leave $20 with the boys and walk out of the diner. I think I need some real coffee. I look around for a cafe or a coffee stand. I notice a coffee stand called Jitterz. I wonder if it's any good and if it has my favorite coffee. I walk the block and a half it takes to get there. I walk up to the window. Is this okay I ask the barista. She says sure is. I order a large white coffee with white chocolate powder with cinnamon and soy milk. Would you like it hot or cold love Kitty the barista asks. I say hot please. I hand her a stamp card and see that it's my free one. Score one for me. Kitty gives me my free one and I walk back to the diner hoping my food is there.

Sam's POV

Aaron walks back in with a coffee just in time. The food was just served. I wonder what type of coffee she got. The coffee here is nasty. Aaron slides back into the booth next to me smelling of outside and cherry blossoms. I ask can I try some of your coffee. She laughs and says very loudly is the coffee here not to your liking then. I suspect that it was aimed at Becky the waitress. I grab Aaron's hand. The same electronic shock happens when I tough her hand. This time I don't let go, I'm ready for it this time. I look into her eyes and it feel like everything else just falls away. It's just her and I nothing else matters. We can do anything together. She is the most beautiful person I have ever laid eyes on. I get closer wanting to see how her lips taste. I feel a sharp pain in my leg and break eye contact with Aaron. I notice out of the corner of my eye that she is blushing the cutest color of pink. It's just a light color almost to light to notice. Earth to Sammy, hello are you in there Dean says. Yeah sorry. What's up man I say. I was wanting to go over the details of the case with you guys. Since Aaron is going to be tagging along, she mite as well help out says Dean. Okay so what we know so far is... Becky comes over to the table asking if we need a refill. Aaron says no we are good thanks though. With a mouth full of omelet. She scowls at Aaron then turns and walks away. Aaron says now that she is gone we can get back to business. How did you eat that so fast I ask. I made it sound like my mouth was full when it wasn't. We all laugh. Okay back to what I was saying there is one survivor by the name of Heather. Apparently she was on the back road of route 9 with her boyfriend. He tried to get a little to frisky, then there was the sound of metal on metal. He went out to see what it was. She called the police and when they got there Heather was hysterical . Saying that some invisible thing to Jimmy and killed him. They found him up in a tree with slash marks all over his body. Get this the tiers to the pickup were slashed and a single mark ran along the driver's side of the pickup. Dean light up like a tree at Christmas time. You don't think it could be him do you he asks. Think it could be who Aaron asks. I say the legend of the man with a hook. Well why wait I'm ready she says. Where did all your food go woman Dean asks with a hint of respect in his voice. I'm a fast eater and a hard worker she says laughing. We pay and I notice that Becky put her number on the ticket with a heart by what I ordered. Hey Sam you got the waitress number Aaron says teasingly. Hey Aaron you got phone number on your coffee cup to Dean replies with. The look on her face is priceless. She looks horrified that she got a number from someone. Dean laughs and says what haven't you ever gotten a number before. Well yeah I have just never from a girl she replies. We all get back into the car and continue on our way to Iowa.
