57 Summer Rain

Cone-shaped spikes sprung out from the ever-spreading thick black liquid below Damian in less than a split-second from when he leapt into the air.

In Jerry's vision, the world behind Damian was split in two by a white zig-zag line. Followed by a bright flash faster than the blink of an eye.

Jerry squinched his eyes due to flash blindness, making him see cobwebs at exactly when his spikes impaled Damian.

Stab! Stab! Stab!

The gun and knife flung out of Damian's hand and his glasses fell from his face.

zzzzzz– BOOM!

The thunderous rumble shook the ground and the buildings violently.

The clear and sunny sky was chased away by thick black clouds with flashing veins of blue light that seemed to call for doom.

The heavens cried like a banshee. Each droplet of rain struck the ground hard enough to create a crater.
