14 Destiny Awaits

'God exists.'

Such a notion would be ludicrous for Hades to accept in his previous life. The concept that an Omnipotent and Omniscient creator exists is a pretty difficult concept to understand rather than to just "believe".

What do these confirmations indicate? Was he a slave to an existent system? Would it mean that the things that have happened so far, things that will happen are all binding in nature?

But that doesn't add up. What about "free will"? A concept so important to God that even he won't violate it no matter how it's used.

Olympus will fall, Gods will be replaced. There are about a thousand different myths about the Greek Pantheon but all of them meet their end. Is this a sign of inevitability? If it is, then I plan on enduring this Ragnarok.

This is the God of War verse, meaning that the marked warrior would bring about the destruction of Olympus. Then I must ensure Hestia, Rhea and Poseidon make it as well. Zeus can die and so can Hera, I'll try that Demeter also survives but she isn't a priority for me.

Then comes a nagging question that has troubled Hades since he acknowledged that he's a God, Religion.

The Olympians will make themselves out be Deities and Zeus will fuck anything that moves, which is both a strategic move and a criminal one. This way he'll have a massive influence on the Land, once again to contend against me.

From what Hades could deduce since their last meeting on Olympus was that Zeus somehow got smarter.

Especially when he handed over the role of maintaining souls. The Zeus he knew would never allow Hades to have such authority without a fight. The mentality of Gods don't change over long periods because of the lack of opposing ideas and struggles, their power hinders their growth.

It would mean that Zeus has already swallowed Metis and absorb her divinity and powers.

However, there are more pressing matters at hand. From the very moment, Hades took reign of the Underworld his ears have been bombarded by cries and screams of pain of every living organism on the Planet. It didn't matter if it was just a bacteria, plant, or animal.

The incoherent screams were constantly ringing in his ears, he forcefully lessened them but he couldn't stop them.

— " It's painful, isn't it?"

A lazy dull voice diverted Hades' attention from the voices in his head.

"Thanatos! Why are you here and what do you know about of ailment?", Hades asked as his eyes glowed yellow-ish red in anger and frustration.

—"Lord Hades, you are the God of the Underworld and ruler of souls. And just like you, I am the Incarnation of Death, we are both destined to hear the cries of the living, unlike other gods who choose when to listen and when not to, we do not have that luxury.", Thanatos, the God of Death, replied bowing his head in respect of the God every other divine being feared, Hades.

Thanatos is Goddess Nyx's son. He did participate in the early stages of the war for he had to keep the monsters locked in Tartarus in their places and hide the aura of the creation of divine weapons. But he had felt the sheer heights of fear that exuded out of Hades, and since then he's been attracted to Hades.

" For fucks sake! I never get a break, do I? *sigh* Call on your mother for me will you, we must complete the construction of Underworld.", Hades said as he walked towards his plastic chair rubbing his forehead.

After about 10 minutes both Nyx and Thanatos were standing behind Hades, though he was preoccupied with the splitting headache he was suffering through.

*Smack*, "Da fuck! Oh, you're here Nyx." Nyx had just smacked Hades for making them just stand there.

—"Nyx? That's what you're addressing me with? Looks like power has gone through your head as well *tch*tch*", Nyx adjusted her height to match Hades.

"What do you think about religion?", Hades asked one of the questions that bugged Hades at the moment.

—" What a waste of time that is, I do not need prayers of mortals to satisfy my ego. And you shouldn't do it as well. Siphoning their prayers into power is the most Pathetic thing a God can do.", Nyx replied with a staunch disdain in her voice.

"Well, it's easy for you to say such things. Not all of us are nigh-invincible like you.", Hades retorted sarcastically.

— " You have assimilated Atlas' soul, you are now for all intents and purposes an Aberration. This is especially surprising because the Aberration of this Generation is yet to be born.", Nyx formed a throne and table in front of me.

"Oh! Whose supposed to be the Aberration?"

— "It should be Ares, he'll be the God of War."

"I think it's rather late to ask you this, but how do you know the future?", Hades questioned with a blank voice and cold dead eyes. He did not like such transparency and lack of foresight.

—" Primordials are far too powerful to not be able to "read" the future. Worry not when you reach my level you'll understand what that means.", Nyx replied calmly, not the least bit provoked by me.

"So what do we do about Gaia? She's been screwing me over since the beginning and she even helped Zeus build that Hax of a weapon.", Hades said with a frustrated smile on his face and his eyes glowing red.

— " She's not your concern. Forget all that has happened. You must change your mindset, there are no eternal enemies or allies only eternal benefits. You are a King now, you can't march on to wage wars just because. Learn to play the long game, conflict will be costly and ruin your profits.", Nyx replied in a stern voice, like a teacher hammering important lessons in her student's brain.

"So essentially let the minions do the leg work and I rule from the shadows. I like the sound of that. But, a religion must be established not for prayers but to maintain my influence on Earth."

And thus, the Grand Aunt and Nephew duo began laying out schemes for centuries ahead in the future but they were still in ignorance about the Young Darkseid forging his way towards Earth or the many other influences the wider universe would have on Earth.

A/n:- yo my readers. Sorry, I couldn't release chapters cause I had to give exams, take admission, etc.

So yeah the First Invasion arc will begin next to be followed by the God Of War Arc with set up of the DC Universe sprinkled across them and then to Modern Age then the Justice League Arc to the first major "Crisis".

I thought to give you this story progression map cause my update have always been irregular, so this was done just in case I forget the advancement of the story.
