Chapter 18 Shelter
In a clinic, a man with silver hair was sleeping soundly on a bed, a bandage on his chest extending down to his stomach. The room was quiet, filled with the faint hum of medical equipment.
His eyes began to flutter slowly until they were wide open. He blinked a few times, his blurry vision gradually clearing. He caught a glimpse of a female figure sitting in a chair nearby. She noticed his awakening and shot to her feet, her chair scraping loudly against the floor.
She hurriedly left the room, her footsteps echoing in the hallway. At the door, she shouted, "Senior Zya, the person is awake!"
Zya, the same girl who had saved Nolan outside the school gate, was in the school quadrangle, doing push-ups. Her movements were fluid and controlled, showcasing that she's not an idle person.
