14 First Quarter

"You seem to be thinking about something? Is something bothering you?" He suddenly said which made me surprised and immediately shake my head.

"No, I'm just remembering about something."

"What thing?"

"You know... the gorgon sisters that I met here... It just made me overthink, I don't understand why did they appeared in my dreams and the last things that they've said to me. About reviving and me helping them to ask someone to help them to revive their sister." I sighed and look at him.

"Even you! I always overthink that why are you even in my dreams? And who are you." I said while pointing at him.

"I'm just a passerby." He replied.

"Passerby? Then why are you still here?" I raised my brow.

"Oh? So you want me to leave?" he smirked which made me close my mouth.

"Who said that I want you to leave?" I crossed my arms.

"Then you don't want me to leave." He said in a teasing tone which made my face heat.

"I didn't say that! Stop assuming things!" I look away and tried to act like I was mad or offended by what he said but it looks like he doesn't believe that I'm angry.

"Your attitude and actions don't suit your face. You look innocent and prim and proper but you're not. And when you get angry you look like a small pomegranate with a knife." He muttered.

"I don't have time to be modest and you're right, I'm completely aware that my appearance doesn't match my attitude and my actions but I guess that's how people are. We thought they were like that, but they weren't. Just like a quote said, 'Don't judge a book by its cover.'" I said and smiled at him.

"Looks can be deceiving," I added and he just nodded.

I frown when he looks like a person who just got busted that he did something. His face is normal but his eyes were like that, I can see in his eyes that something bothered him and made him feel guilty.

"You're the one who looks trouble right now, is something wrong?"

"Nothing," he denied and shook his head.

We have known each other for a long time but I don't know anything about him. He doesn't tell me anything, I don't even know his name but I didn't waste time asking him questions about himself because if he wanted to tell me, he would.

And I can live without knowing his name so let's not force it.

Days have passed and I haven't seen him in my dreams, as in nothing. I was bothered by it for reasons I don't know. Weeks have passed and my stepmother and her stepdaughters got home.

They still treat me like shit, nothing new but I didn't mind. I just wondered where that man is and I had a conclusion that he can't be part of my dreams anymore, he has left and will not come back. Similar to dreams that when you see someone then the next day you cannot see him/her in your next dream.

I just chose to go to my bed and sleep to escape my bully step-sisters and especially their mother. They don't pay attention to what I do but maybe if they can't do anything they make fun of me and make me suffer even though I'm not even doing anything to them.

I lock myself in the room from time to time to sleep and also hope to see that man again. Well, he used to comfort me, he's not good at comforting me when I'm sad but I can see that he is trying and I appreciate it. But he's gone, I can't see him anymore.

I closed my eyes and sleep, I'm once again still in the village. I'm now used to this place, the people. So far nothing bad has happened to me here, not like on the first time that someone tried to abduct me, that everywhere there was a disaster that is happening. And a woman who said that I'll be doomed once he knew that a living mortal is here. That kind of stuff.

But until now, I still don't get what is happening around me, why do I dream this kind of stuff, and why I'm always in a village once I sleep. Especially my previous dreams, it still doesn't make sense to me.

I talk to myself that I should walk around, maybe outside of the village so that maybe I can have a grasp of what's happening, where am I... That kind of stuff.

I went around the whole village trying to find the exit but I saw nothing. I didn't see an exit, the only place that kind of doesn't belong to the village is the really weird place where I saw the gorgon sisters.

I decide to go back there again which may not be a good choice because I might encounter something or someone again and I would die...

I just walked until I got in there, as usual, surrounded by trees and the creepy surroundings and atmosphere. So far I haven't encountered strange and scary things as I continued walking until I no longer knew where I am.

I just walked and I feel like I wasted a few years because I walked. I stopped when I saw there were overgrown vines on a tree. I walked closer to it and touched the vines and I didn't hesitate to draw apart the vines and that's when I saw that there is an entrance that could be an exit or entrance.

I turned around, looking to see if anyone was behind me before I entered and when I confirmed that there was none I entered and crouched my way to it, dark as I crawled. Until little by little I could see a light coming from afar while I was crawling and I just found out that I'm near the end.

And I'm so thankful that I got out, my back hurts but it's worth it because I'm out of that village!

But...

Where am I!?

I looked around and I felt like I was in the cemetery! I see nothing good here! The ground is all black so I mistook it for ash scattered all over the ground.

The air is cold and the atmosphere is all dark and gloomy, I look up and the sky is all black there is nothing much here.

Not until I saw not far away from me a strange thing, it is all white and there are so many of it! I squinted my eyes so that I can see the white thing in the distance. I still can't get what it is but when I heard a trumpet and saw a literal big boat with someone on the very top of it my brain just quickly processes what I saw and I realized that those whites things that I see are ghosts!

I don't know what I'm going to do, whether I'm going to scream, cry or faint. But I thought what if I followed that thing? I just ignored how I was feeling and told myself to follow them before they disappear from my sight. I ran and followed them, sometimes I'm an idiot! I might be damned for what I'm doing because I am a curious cat.

I ran and ran, there was no obstacle that I encountered while I was running to catch up with them. Since the land is clear there are no kinds of stuff around me or who, it is completely deserted. Not until I saw something in the distance, I stop and I was still panting because of the distance I ran to reach mania I see!

I saw a magical, vast, and resplendent castle from afar, imitating a dark and mysterious aura. I was shocked and at the same time amazed by the mysterious castle that I saw.

The ghosts I saw were going there and at the same time the big ship also but the man I saw above was gone. I was still far away so I ran as fast as I can so I could see close things on close up.

I hid as close as I could to the castle, I hid in the wide wall and took a peek. The ghost is entering a big gate. I waited for everyone to enter before I moved and looked inside the gate. Too many ghosts, they're piling up.

I breathed a sigh of relief as they were exhausted and they had all entered the gate. I came out of my hiding place and slowly walked towards the gate while my body was not removed from the wall.

when I got close to the gate I slowly tilted my head so I could see the inside of the gate but I quickly removed it when I caught a glimpse of a big dog! So big! it was sitting proudly on the ground and looked ready to bite anyone's neck off if they did a wrong thing. I didn't see the whole thing because I was shocked and afraid that that dog might see me. I quickly removed my gaze and just went back.

I took the courage to peek again and when I peeked there I realized that the big dog I saw that has three heads! It was the dog that I met in the village! That's him! I'm sure of it because your dog has a collar, with big spikes and I still recognize it!

I gulped because that dog was scary now. They were fully on guard right now and they might notice me if I keep on peeking for too long!

I was going to run and hide again but our eyes met! Fuck! The dogs have already spotted me! I started to tremble in fear for I am in great danger. Maybe even the dog still knows me it will still bite me or what if he doesn't know me anymore? I would be much more in trouble!

I froze in fear and ran and as I ran I heard heavy and very strong footsteps behind me. I tried not to look back but I look back and saw that the three-headed dogs were running after me!

I didn't notice that there was something on the ground that caused my convulsions and falling to the ground. I winced because of the pain. Then suddenly it got darker because there was a big shadow covering my whole being. Nervously I slowly turned around and saw the three-headed dogs in front of me.

"H-Hi..." I said as if I was at gunpoint.

And then the three-headed dog made a low growl but it reminded me of an earthquake that once happened. It was a low growl coming from a big creature but it made me feel that I was shaking because of an earthquake.

And then the dog growled, much louder in the scariest way that made my legs trembled in fear for my life with a foaming mouth which spewed the drool on me.

but I didn't think of his saliva spewing out on me because I was in a life and death situation! Will I even think about the saliva sticking to me !?

"H-hey! I-it's nice m-meeting you three here a-again... how are y-you?" I said nervously and tried to smile at them, hoping they would recognize me as their friend in the village.

They were nice to me then! They even ask me if I'll play fetch and gave me a big ass tree! Then now I look like their dinner that they'll be cooking later!
