3 1 : Fated

It was late in the evening. The streets were sparkling with neon signs and hustling with people. Roads were also busy with cars and buses moving in directions. It looks so picturesque in the night. Night life in kingdom of corea was really amazing... especially in Gangnam. But I guess we will not able to enjoy it tonight.

"Ma'am you can't go in please leave." The bouncer of the club said.

"I told you already! I am over 18! I just forgot to bring my ID." A girl said for the n'th time and now pretty much frustrated as she ran her hand through her blond short hair.

"Please ma'am we can't allow you without it. Now please leave you are blocking the way for others."

"Kim Chaeyeong! Let's go... forget it. We can go clubbing another time." I said flipping my long hair at other side and turned away grabbing her hand. For past 45 minutes she was arguing with the bouncer and it was getting irritating.

"But haesoo!"

"Yeah.. Just leave it. Let's go home." And I dragged my best friend away from the club.

As we got in the cab she started to rant about everything.

"That idiot bouncer! How dare him! I wish heeseung was here... he would have probably kicked that bouncers' butt!"

"Whelp... last time I check heeseung was a pacifist. But you know... it's not that bouncers' fault.." I shrugged

"Why..?"

"Cuz you are just too short for a 20 year old." And I started laughing.

"Wtf Jung haesoo?! " She swear at me

"Shorty!" I teased her again and continued to laugh.

"Huh! Don't get to high on yourself.. You are not that tall okay." She spat folding her arms.

"Tall enough to not get mistaken as a high scholar" I grinned.

"You know? I hate you." She looked away.

"I know... because there's only one person you love and that's lee heeseung." I poked her cheek and she smiled.

"Argh.. I can't even stay mad at you!" she complained blushing a little.

"But why didn't heeseung come tonight?" I asked

"Ah! He's busy with his new play for the competition. I know he'll win this time too! He's amazing actor! If he win this completion he'll definitely get signed under a company!" and just like that she started to brag about her soul mate.

Chaeyeong was like a broken record when it came to heeseung. Telling me same story again and again even though I was there when that all happened but, still. It was getting really annoying now. I tried to change subject but she didn't stopped.

Chaeyeong and Heeseung had dream of each other immediately at the night she turned 18. Heeseung saw chaeyeong's face but chae just saw the place and it was the amusement park. They both had a literally fairy-tale like meet. Heeseung was having a play of 'Cinderella' in the amusement parks' open theater and in middle of the play their Cinderella got injured at the part she runs away at 12 o'clock.

It was the second day we were at amusement park and I was tired of walking with her like an idiot to find her mate. I was protesting at the backstage of open theater to go home and she was trying to convince me. Suddenly destiny played her game and that plays' directer kind of guy came to Chaeyeong. He pleaded her to do the part of Cinderella saying that she just have to move here and there little bit and lip sync to the background voice over. And she agreed saying it might be fun experience.

Well... play wasn't that amazing but it survived. Because, in the end prince heeseung found his real life Cinderella for a happily ever after.

They both are a sweet but now they are giving me diabetes.

The cab stopped at the intersect near our place and we got out. Still, she wasn't shutting up. I was finding some reason to stop her and then suddenly I found it. Choi Soobin. He was in the convenience store at intersect.

"Oh! Chae, wait... I got text from Soobin. He wants to meet me in the convenience store there. I should probably go." I said pointing.

"Ugh.. You know he bosses you around so much. You always ditch me right away when he calls you." She complained.

"Hey... you know he doesn't have much friends and I am his best friend!" I reasoned.

"Hey! I am your best friend too."

"I know and I love you!" I smiled acting cute.

"You know... it's not right to fall for him. He's definitely not right to fall for him. He's definitely not your mate haesoo..." she whispered worriedly.

"Chae, we're just friends. I like him as my friend just like how I like you." I reasoned pouting being little upset.

"I hope you stop lying to yourself and me."

"I am not... anyways it's late you should go."

"Yeah... just don't get hurt afterwards. I can't see you sad." She sighed.

"I'll not. Now go... I would have walked you to your home but....-"

"Yeah – yeah, I know. My house is just 2 blocks away anyways.. Bye! Take care." And she left.

I really hate when she starts on Soobin's topic.

So what? If I'm not his mate?

I don't care. He doesn't have one yet.

So, what's wrong in it?

And there are lots people who dated others till they get their mate.I don't know why god made this stupid soul mate system. It's really ridiculous. Having dream about your mate when you turn 18, then find that person in midst of n amount of people. Because he's our forever true partner. Why would god choose who's the one for us? And why only one? Ugh!

I really hate this soul mate thing!

Fate? Destiny? Bullshit.

It's just a prison created by god for two people. Even if they hurt each other, even if they fight with each other. They have to be with each other...

Why?

'Cuz it's their fate..

'Cuz their destiny is intertwined with each other...

'Cuz they are fated.
