12 What is this?

I put a hand on my chest and felt my heart pounding against my chest. My face was so warm and I bet they were red too. Erevan's smile played in my head. I placed my hands on my cheeks and stared at the ceiling.

"This can't be happening."

I can't start liking him. I was literally afraid of him a few days ago.

I was so frustrated. How in the world does this make sense?! I don't understand my feelings at all.

I stood up and walked over to the small mirror in the room. It was with a desk witch had some materials for writing. Most likely to make letters to loved ones. I looked at myself in the mirror and slapped my cheeks.

"You will not make the mistake of falling for anyone. Not even in some fake world."

After glaring at my reflection for a bit I nodded my head and headed down the stairs to the main floor of the inn. I was greeted by a large group of people and started to feel a little anxious. There were far more people here then earlier. But then again it was dark out now. People were probably just drinking the night away.

I looked around the room and found a table that was practically empty and away from everyone. I sat down cautiously but couldn't help but let my eyes dart around the room. So much was happening. Honestly it was quite exciting. I've never been on a situation like this before.

"How may I help you miss?"

I looked up to see a young beautiful girl probably around my age looking at me with a welcoming smile. I started to panic a little and couldn't help but go blank with my thoughts.

"Ah I'll just have some water please."

I knew I came here to eat something but honestly I was too nervous to get anything. I rested my elbows on the table and held my face in my palms. I sighed and closed my eyes. I honestly was really tired. I just couldn't help but feel exhausted from all this. So much has been happening these past few weeks.

I heard footsteps coming toward me and assumed it was the lady coming back with my drink. I looked up only to see a tall man. He wore a loose shirt with tight black pants. He had a bit of a stubble with a scar down his chin. His eyes were a dark brown just like his hair. I couldn't help but stare.

"What's a girl like you doing here so late at night?"

His voice was deep and rumbled as he talked. I felt intimidated by it.

"Ah I have a room here. I'm just getting something to drink."

As soon as I said that the girl came by and gave me my water.

"Get this girl a beer. I'm paying."

My eyes went wide and I cleared my throat.

"You really don't have to do that. I don't drink."

"Don't worry about it. I just want to get to know ya."

He sat down in front of me and I dropped my hands into my lap. I looked down at them as I fumbled with them. I was getting really nervous here.

Not a moment later our drinks were here and the man grabbed his and drank almost half of it. Meanwhile I just looked at it.

I've never had beer before or any kind of alcohol. I was only 19 in my world. I didn't know if it was the same thing here.

"Aww don't be afraid sweetheart I ain't gonna hurt you."

I didn't look up even as he said that.

"So where are you from? I've never seen someone like you before. You from the capital or something?"

Shoot how was I supposed to answer this?

"It's a long story."

"I love stories. And if you hadn't noticed, I have the time."

He leaned closer to me and I could smell the alcohol in his breath. I tried my best not to make a face at the smell.

"W-well it's very personal and I'd rather not talk about it."

I practically spat that out and regretted seeming so anxious.

His mouth curled up into a smirk and I felt the red flags in my head go off. I started to get up when he grabbed my arm and glared at me.

"I'm really nice to talk to and I'd hate for you to get on my bad side. So please tell me about yourself."

I sat back down but he kept his hand on me. His hands were cold in a way. And they felt rough I just didn't like it. But I was stuck here. I was too scared to leave.

I really hope Erevan comes back soon.
