18 King Arthur Belowmont

"W-who are you?"

I couldn't help but feel a little intermediated of him. I knew he had some power in this world and I didn't want there to be any more trouble for me.

"You idiot he's the-"

Before Andrei could finish the man in armor quickly looked at him and glared. Andrei grit his teeth and didn't say another word. The man then looked down at me and crouched down to be at eye level with me. He then looked at Erevan.

"Alexis," he called over this woman in a purple hood with gold around the sleeves and collar, "heal this man. He's important to you, right?"

"Y-yes. You still haven't told me who you are though."

As I was saying that the woman approached and then removed her hood. She had beautiful long, thick black hair and gold eyes. "May I?" is all she said before lightly removing Erevan from my arms. I was too confused to fight back and keep him in my arms.

"Forgive me madam. My name is Arthur. Arthur Belowmont, king of Albertra."

My eyes went wide as I heard the name and I looked again at the people around us and saw that they were still bowing. Feeling rude I started to bow myself but he stopped me, placing a cold, heavy armor covered hand on my shoulder.

"There's no need for that. If anything, I should be bowing to you, savoir."

He gave me a kind smile and then got up. He held out a hand to me and I slowly took it still confused with everything that was happening. He quickly lifted me up like I weighed nothing and I fell into his arms. It hurt a little with his armor and so I winced a little. He pulled out a clothe from somewhere and wiped away Erevan's blood from my cheek. Then he look at the others that came with him.

"Let's head back to the castle. We must return quickly to keep the savoir safe."

The men cheered. I looked over to Alexis who had Erevan and I noticed there was some light coming from her. It looked like what came out of me when I healed him that one time. I didn't know anyone else could do that.

He king started to put me on one of his horse but I stopped him.

"I have a horse. Well, it's his but I'd rather ride her."

The king smiled and nodded his head.

"Yes, we will get your horse and you may ride on it."

With a wave of his hand two men rode off to where I assumed the stable was. Without thinking I walked up to Alexis who was healing Erevan and placed a hand on his.

"Don't worry. He'll be ok. We got to him quick enough."

"I'm glad."

We stood there for a bit and then the light stopped and Alexis started wrapping cloth around where his would was.

"Can I ask how you did that?"

Alexis looked at me with confusion before responding.

"Oh you mean my magic? In this world very few are born with the ability to control the magic around us. But we can't control life like you do. I may have healed him but just a little. It's nothing like what you can do miss."

"Oh..."

I didn't really know how to respond to what she was talking about. It was like she knew I wasn't from here and that I was new to all of this. I kept my eyes on Erevan though.

"When will he wake up?"

"I'm not sure. It's always different for people. I would offer to let you heal him but that would take much energy out of you and then it would be hard for you to travel. The castle is a week away at least so we want you to be as healthy as possible."

"That makes sense."

I trailed off as I rubbed his hand feeling that it was still warm just like that night. Alexis smiled as she watched me and I quickly removed my hand feeling embarrassed. Then as if on que the men returned with Ebony.

"Ebony!"

I ran up to her and started rubbing her where I knew she liked it.

"I missed you girl. Don't worry Erevan is ok. We're going to the castle now, alright?"

She made a noise as if saying she understood. I was about to get on her when I stopped. By now the king was already on his horse and he gave me a questioned look.

"Is there something wrong miss?"

"I have some stuff in the inn. I should grab it."

"There will be no need for that. We have all the resources you need. At the castle we shall give you whatever you want for your time with us."

"O-oh. Alright."

I got onto Ebony and looked back at the inn. I really didn't want to leave the stuff Erevan bought for me in there. I know they were just simple dresses but I wanted to keep them. I mean, they were form him.

I shook my head and ignored the thoughts and got next to the king. He nodded at me before putting on a stern face.

"Alright men. To the castle!"

They all cheered and then the townspeople started cheering as well. It felt weird. It was like I was in a real fantasy. No not that, it made me feel like I was important. Like I was special.

I didn't deny that I liked that feeling.

We started riding off going at a rather fast pace at first. I looked back at the knight who was holding Erevan. He was all I could think about.

Wake up soon.
