4 Discovery (2)

I shout at the hand but it gives no response. The hand lay there awkwardly in deep silence.

"Well this is unexpected, I expected a response but instead I got a silent stare down with a hand."

Looks like there's no other way, I think I can try to use my healing magic on the hand and spread it through the body but I face a major problem. I have no clue how magic works in this world. From the variety of novels, I read each world has a different power system. Even if one is similar to another there remains the question of applying it. Some world has a magic system that is linked to imagination, others to innate talent and some uncommon one requiring blood as a medium.

Whether it was cultivating, leveling or magic engineering. These required practice and this is one thing I lack. I may have got healing magic level 1 but I don't really know how to apply it. Guess I will just do the next best thing and that is to copy the action from the Main character from another world.

I first start by checking my stats

Mana: Miniscule (Recovering)

——————————————-

At least it seems that my mana has recovered a bit. With this, I will be able to use my magic but without knowing how to use it is the same as shooting a gun with no prior knowledge on how it works. I should be careful when trying to use magic, I should understand it first. I might unintentionally give the green dude cancer while healing him.

I start to emulate what other novel protagonists would do and that is to feel my source of mana. I sat down on the grassy floor and meditate. I close my eyes, trying to find the source of mana.

In my mind, there is nothing but a pitch-black void. There was nothing until a red heart could be seen. Green and purple lines can be seen extending out of the heart branching out toward the whole body similar to the circulatory system. The heart seems to pump in a slow rhythm providing and transporting a green and purple fluid throughout my body.

I imagine one of the purple fluid moving into the direction of my arms, it seems to obey my command and did what it is told. So my thoughts on controlling it actually worked but it feels a bit exhausting after doing that. Not enough to make me sweat or lose my breath but enough to feel that I did something. It's hard to describe but It similar to the sensation of using your muscles to lift an object. I try moving and changing its direction and in no time I feel that I have grasped the basic concept of moving this energy.

I get out of my trance and proceed to stand up. I wipe the dirt off my behind and start to imagine my mana moving toward my hand and a faint green glow is seen appearing in my palm.

"Oh, so this is how they use it."

I approach the large green brutish hand. Since this is a fantasy world than this hand probably belong to an orc if I am unlucky enough then it could be a really swole goblin that hits the gym every day. I put my palm on the hand.

"Alright here goes nothing."

A bright green light flows out into the green hand. The light seems to contain the whole arm. A faint noise comes from the mound. I felt a tremble and slowly a figure rises out of the mound.

A green figure clad in muscle. A bodybuilder with the peak physique not even skipping out on leg days either. The face is reminiscent of an orc from World of Warcraft. Green and Human-like but with no pig features. A big and strong jaw and sharp eyebrows are the most prominent feature on them.

"Woah, I didn't realize that you would just come out and rise like a zombie. I should just switch my profession to become a necromancer instead." I blurted out unknowingly.

I guess mana is a form of energy use to fuel spells and miracles.

Oh crap, I almost forgot. I should show myself as a friend. I don't want to become the meal in his belly.

"Hey, there I spot you lying in ground buried so I decided to help you out, thank goodness you haven't went to afterlife yet."

The big guy stood still and observe his surroundings. His expression went from neutral and serious to a shocked face.

(o゚ェ゚o)

His mouth slowly opens and closes

"Where are we?" He said this in a confused tone and in a deep voice.

"Honestly I don't know too." I shrugged my shoulders.

"So then how did you find your way here then." The Orcs raise his eyebrow and reply.

"Well, I got lost in the forest and accidentally lost my memories," I said with a casual and carefree tone.

This is technically the truth since I did get lost and have no idea where I should go. Also, the fact that I lost some of my memory proved the second statement.

"This seems like a joke." He said.

Well, sir Orcs life also seem like a joke to me too. I have no idea what is going on.

"Well lost or not you have healed me but there are still some injuries left. Also, by the way, I felt something weird poking my hand while I was unconscious."

That was me using the stick but don't worry about that as it is harmless. Should I reveal this fact? Yes or No. nah I will just tell him later.

"Did you have anything to eat?" The orc curiously asked me.

"No, I haven't." I replied.

"Than how did you survive in the forest?" The orc asked even more confused than before.

"I got lucky."

The short exchange is interrupted by the rumbling of both our stomachs. Both stomach seem to come at an agreement to let their owners know they are hungry.

Me and the muscular orc stare at each other.
