A wood panel ceiling greeted me as I opened my eyes.

'This sight...am I?'

My vision went dark briefly before a white screen appeared, like you would find at a cinema.

Displayed was a highlight reel of the character Kenji Nakamura's life.

Kenji Nakamura was a delinquent teen, living in Minato City, Tokyo Japan. He often got into fights, bullied weaker kids and robbed people with his friends. One night, while on his way home from partying with his friends, he was run over by a truck and died. Through a miracle, he was reincarnated in a fantasy world of swords and magic, however, his reincarnation was not a pleasant one. 

Kenji found himself reborn as a goblin in a weak tribe of cave dwellers. His tribe regularly raided small villagers and kidnapped women to conceive children for them, but often, it was simply for the pleasure of it.

At first, he cursed his fate, however, soon he came to enjoy his new life and the pleasures he could enjoy without consequence. His fun life did not last long however, as adventurers came to rescue their latest victims and completely decimated his tribe.

Kenji managed to escape and vowed to get revenge on the adventurers that ruined his perfect new life. Unfortunately, he would not be able to get his revenge as shortly after dealing with his tribe, the adventurers were killed by the Demon Lord Koljax. 

When the Demon Lord discovered Kenji desecrating the corpses of the adventurers, he found him amusing and took interest in him. Overtime, the Demon Lord shared some of his power, allowing Kenji to evolve and regain his human appearance. 

The Demon Lord Koljax tasked him with assembling an army of his kin to present to their King in the hopes that Kenji would be recognised, and be granted the power and status of a Demon Lord and join Koljax in the Great Demon Army. 

Kenji committed many atrocities to obtain a force worthy enough to present to the king. Through trial and error, he managed to create a formidable goblin army, and through this journey, he amassed the power equal to a semi-grade Demon Lord.

When Kenji discovered a village filled with beautiful Elven women, he moved his forces to capture them to bare his children. He knew that the offspring conceived with the Elves would be unparallel, so he decided to intervene personally to get the job done.

Unfortunately, his plans were thwarted by the Nasu Elves, and his army was massacred by the Guardian of the Nasu. After an all-out battle with the guardian of the Nasu, Kenji met his end.

My swift and natural movement came as a complete shock...after all, that bastard ripped my arms off my body.

I inspected my arms and sighed in relief when I confirmed that they were indeed my original arms, and the feeling intensified when I received the appropriate tactile feedback.

'I don't know how they did it but thank God they succeeded.'

'The next thing to check would be...'

I looked down and discovered that I was completely naked, only covered by a thin sheet...naturally.

My head spun. There were so many changes to my profile that I did not know where to begin.

I looked to the familiar brown door, and just as expected...

"I was so scared. When we found you...the state of your body..." she clung to me and buried her head in my chest.

She sobbed uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry. I caused you to worry, didn't I?"

When Lady Amlerythe's eyes met mine, they turned red and moist.

She jumped at the opening and clung to my left shoulder while burying her head on my chest.

"I thought that we had lost you" Lady Amlerythe said.

She too began to cry.

I did the same to Ferine, she had an identical reaction to the Matriarch.

I chuckled.
