Instruments of Fate

From a very early age the children in Canaan are told that the Souls of Vendor, Vendorians are their sworn enemies and that the Canaanites are destined to fight against Vendorians to gain control of the divided world of Vendor. The story follows Ricardo Dinnar, a citizen of Canaan and a student of Canaan Dimensional Academy of Magic as he struggles to find out the truth about the world of Vendor and the true reason behind why the Canaanites and Vendorians are destined to be enemies. In the process, he also finds out that he is protected by an abnormal magic that is carved into his soul. The question of his childhood also seems to be in shrouds of mystery since he is not able to recall many things. In this quest for truth, he encounters many dangers and goes into various adventures meeting new friends and enemies alike all the while increasing his skill and knowledge in magic. But the secrets he learns is far more complicated and unexpected than he ever thought resulting in a drastic change in his personality that transforms Ricardo into the famed Black Ryder.
