21 Over and over again

Most of the songs played were mostly love songs and I love the vibe we are having right now. We are having grilled fish, chicken and a sour broth shrimp for dinner.

He started by asking how was my stay for the past three days and I told him a lot of stories. Even though I already told him those before.

"When did you decide to come here?" I was a bit curious to why is here now.

"Since the moment you handed me your conference schedule. I checked if we could squeeze in" he sliced his grilled fish and took a bite. "Their food is delicious!" You can see satisfaction on his face.

Suddenly the lights were dimmed more and the spotlight was focused on the stage. Which made the guests turn their eyes on the band.

"It's a lovely night Ladies and Gentlemen" the vocalist said. "Now its time to have some audience participation and I see a lot of couples here." then the spotlight started roaming around and I bet the diners wouldn't want to share the spotlight on stage. Reeve was laughing at the mixed reactions he was seeing tonight while Kenji was playing by himself.

The light stopped on the table on the far left were two middle aged couple was sitting. The woman smiled and bowed her head a little. The man was frowned as the vocalist started to get near them.

"What's your name?" The vocalist asked.

"Ah... Mike..."

"And your lovely wife what's her name?"

"Linda"

"Hi Linda!" He smiled at woman and asked, "How long have you been together?" The woman quickly answered "15 yrs and we are on our anniversary trip"

"Ohh... Happy Anniversary!" He greeted them.

"Would you like to request a song?"

"Yes please. Through the years by Kenny Rogers"

"Hit it! And thank you!" As he went back to thr stage he took his guitar and started singing. It was a good song for long-time couples.

Reeve smiled and continued his food. "I thought they are going to let him sing"

"I know you sing well. Maybe I'll them that you want to volunteer"

He glared at me. "Stop it or I'll take you on stage to sing with me" I glared at him too and he just laughed at me.

The song ended and everyone applauded especially the couple whose request was granted.

"And now for the next song may I have the gentleman with a white plain V-neck shirt sitting in front of a beautiful lady and an adorable baby boy."

We looked around and nobody's wearing a white plain shirt except for the man in front of me. Reeve looked at his shirt and then at me and his eye widen in surprise. He slowly looked back to the stage and pointed his finger at him.

"Me?" While looking at the vocalist in disbelief.

"Yes you! Come up here!"

Reeve looked at me again then smiled and went on to the stage.

"Your name?"

"Reeve"

"Her name?"

"Sachie"

"Japanese?"

"Mixed"

"You have a cute baby" I lifted Kenji up high so they can see him.

"I know right" he winked at me and some of the guest laughed.

"How long have you been together?" Ouch what a difficult question to answer.

"Its a secret" then he winked again. This guy can be playful at times.

"Do you know this song?" He showed something on his phone and he nodded. He took his phone out to search for the song. The vocalist handed him another microphone.

He started with the intro. It sounded different with a guitar because the version I used to hear is through the piano.

"This is song is dedicated to you" he pointed his hand towards me and I heard some female guest with an 'Awww.'

His voice is so soothing and relaxing. I know he sings but I didn't knew he could do better. This time it feels like we are the only ones here and nobody else. There something about the way he looks at me now and I'm captivated by it.
