1 Prologue

"Mama! Papa!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. Tired and weary for hunting in the woods all day. But it did not discouraged him to go home, especially with the large prey he had gotten. He was carrying a large boar at his back, along with his trusty longsword at his hips, as a wide grin formed on his face, happy from what he had gotten for his hardwork.

The summer breeze blew at his hair as he ran towards their home. A boy, no less than twelve, is thinking how happy will his mother be, for when she sees what he captured. With his calculating brown eyes in harmony with his untidy dark hair, and his warm, relaxing smile. Many people would've never thought that this measly boy was actually a skilled hunter. For he has roamed the woods for two years, after his father taught him how to use a sword.

It was late noon when he arrived. as the birds chirping, hurrying to come back to their nest to feed their starved young. The sun now coming down, to rest for another day tomorrow, as the moon slowly came up from the west, taking the sun's place. He waited for his parents to come out, as they always did when nightfall comes, taking him in and cook whatever prey he hunted. He looked at his house as he waited for them to open the door. It was a small but a sturdy house made out of wood and a chimney made out of bricks on top, spewing smoke in the air. He looked around, wondering for what's taking them so long, as he peeked at the nearby window and was left terrified. Broken glasses were scattered on the floor, as the cover of the window he was peeking with was torn off. Chairs and tables were smashed in half and left in disarray, as even the cooking equipments and utensils lay idle on the floor. He already knew the broken things meant as he hurriedly gone to the entrance.

He came up to the front door, his hand shaking by fear. Not wanting to believe on what he knew, and thought that maybe his mother just fell onto something, making a whole ruckus onto the kitchen and living room.

As he was opening the door, his heart beat sped like a galloping horse, as sweat trickled down his temple, as he breath heavily. He knew that whatever he will see in there, it will change his life forever. It creaked as he opened the door, as he heard the beating of his own heart, anxious about what he's going to see. It was a small room, but blood was splattered everywhere on the floor. It felt as if someone just ransacked and murdered the people who were living in there. Then, a nauseating smell filled his nose. It smelled like a rotten corpse, as a strong stench hung over the room. He knew there was still one room left, where the blood followed and laughter echoed across the room. He followed the trail of blood, fear filled his own body as he walked towards the other room, and fell stunned by what he saw....

He has seen his parents, both dead with blood all across the floor. Severed heads were thrown across the room, one of the arms were amputated and thrown into the nearby wall. Organs cruelly plucked out of their corpse as their eyes were rolling towards the bed. He also saw two men in chainmail, a symbol of a shield and a red dragon at the center of their clothing. They have swords on their hips and knives on their hands while they brutally chop off the parts of his parents. They were laughing very intensely until they saw the boy and stopped, giving him a wicked grin.

"What you gonna do eh?" The tall guy said "Your parents are dead, and there's nothing you can do about if boy" Said the small one. The both pointed at him.

"Your next" they both said in harmony as they crooked a smile and laughed like psychopaths as they walked towards him.

He felt as if anger run through his veins as he rose from the ground. Suddenly, he emitted an aura, a dark aura that send fear towards the two men. They cowered in fear and pleaded to the boy to spare their lives, but it was too late. The boy became numb to their pleading. Numb to everything but vengeance. He raised his longsword and readied to attack. His vision now dark. His emotions, gone, as he brutally massacred the two knights with glee.

==================================

Meanwhile, in a kingdom far away...

"Unacceptable!" He said. He was atleast 6 feet tall, wearing what seems to be iron armor and a red cape on his back. On his hips was a sword and by his side was a woman wearing a red dress. The woman was exceptionally beautiful, with her curves and charming face. You could've seen her as a daughter of the deity of beauty. She was the headmaid of the castle, forced to wear extravagant clothes, as the one they're meeting today are important guests.

"I cannot let you take her!" He screamed. Looking exhausted and irritated after screaming all day while the woman beside her touched his shoulder, trying to make the king see reason.

In the morning, two maidens in battle armor appeared at the castle gates, requesting an audience with the king. After talking for what seems like a day. A servant called her to dress up in the best dress she could wear and go to the throne room immediately. She was confused but followed, not wanting to let the guests wait no longer. After dressing up in a yellow gown, with intricate details of line and fiber crisscrossing on the dress. she hurried along the corridors towards the room. The throne room is filled with red flags, a long red carpet, and finally the throne where the king is sitted along with the headsmaid. It seems that a long argument took place before her arrival. As the king threw bottles and chalices at the guests, But, the maidens never flinched nor anxious about displeasing the king. Finally, one of the maiden's talk.

"Your majesty, you know what the prophecy foretolds. After a hero dies in battle, a new hero will be born to replace his/her place and finish the war that started long ago. Your daughter is explicitly picked by the goddess to be the heroine. Also to be taught by the goddess herself, teaching her the ways on to control her power. Someday, she will be the wielder of the mighty weapons created by the angels themselves. You must not let this chance go to waste. As only one, out of millions, maybe even billions, will be picked to wield the one of the legendary weapons, and be known as a legend till the ends of time." She said, taunting the king to hand over the one the person they want. "I suggest you think about this wisely, your majesty" The maiden said as she returned to where she stood, awaiting for the king's decision

The king slouch against his throne. Knowing that there is no other way around on keeping his daughter from harm's way. He stood up, and walk towards ber, giving her a big hug.

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I hope you can forgive me" he said as tears trickled down to his face, down to the floor. She was anxious at what's happening, as she had never seen her father cried except for one, bitter memory.

"What's wrong, father?" She said as she looked at him confusingly, not knowing what's going on.

"You'll be going on a trip, my dear." As he wiped his tears and hold both of my shoulders as we looked eye to eye.

"You will be going in a far away land where no one else has ever gone."

"Can't I stay here father?" She said like a pleading child, not wanting his father to let her go.

"Sadly I cannot. For this is a journey you will travel alone" he said, sadness crept in his voice.

"Now, you must go. For there was no other way." he said, staring away, turning his back from her

"But...." She said.

"GO!" he yelled.

She hurriedly gone towards the battle maidens, hiding behind their backs. Terrified for what has happened to her father

"Wise choice, your majesty" As they walked away towards the exit. She followed the battle maidens towards the exit. She turned back to look at her father but still has his back turned on her. She left with her heart induced in pain and sadness as she left towards the great unknown.
