The X-Men 3

Jack could feel that the Phoenix was already inside Jean and temporarily asleep, but it would surely awaken. Jack couldn't do much against the Phoenix now, but once he obtained the Reality Stone and increased his strength, he could prevent the Phoenix and Jean from going crazy.

Charles became anxious when Jack spoke of threats they couldn't handle and looked at Jean. After all, he was one of the few who knew that there was a divine force within Jean's mind, and it could be either good or a disaster in the future.

Charles felt that Jack knew too much about them as if he knew the power of many of them, even their biggest secrets. But Charles couldn't know why it happened, as he couldn't read Jack's mind.

"We appreciate your offer of help. We can distance ourselves from the government and humans, but we can ask for the help of a hero like you so we can prevent conflicts from arising between the Avengers and mutants," said Charles.

"As I said, I want to help mutants. What I said when I arrived is true. I have no prejudice and believe that mutants are equal to humans. But I know that most humans don't think that way, so I respect your choice to hide," said Jack.

"But I want you to understand that if the Earth is in danger and we Avengers can't stop it, you also have to fight and not hide out of fear. I understand if mutants who look different want to hide, but mutants who look normal could help, just like Wolverine did," said Jack.

"If you only want to live in peace, I'll help. If humans attack, I'll protect you. But if mutants like Magneto or the Brotherhood of Mutants attack, I won't show mercy, and I hope you won't stop me just because they're mutants like you," Jack said, looking at Charles.

The atmosphere in the office became tense. They knew Jack was warning them because he knew about Charles' friendship with Magneto, and that Charles had hidden many of Magneto's crimes. Charles even told the government not to attack Magneto because he was a mutant.

The truth was that most of the X-Men didn't like Magneto and only tolerated him because of Charles. But Jack was warning them that he wouldn't be like them and wouldn't show mercy. This showed that Jack wasn't afraid of Magneto, and he wasn't afraid of the X-Men either.

"I hope to spend the next few days here at the X-Mansion. I'm interested in talking to some mutants and showing them that I'm not an enemy of those who seeks peace," Jack said with a smile.

"Okay, you can stay as long as you want. That way, you can meet the mutants and see that we want peace," Charles said without showing any anger or emotion despite Jack's warnings.

As soon as Jack left the office, the mutants breathed a sigh of relief. They weren't afraid of Jack, but they were afraid of a fight between the X-Men and the Avengers, and Jack was a representative of them who knew about mutants and came to give them warnings.

Wolverine started to feel bad about having helped in the New York battle. He thought Jack had come here because of him, but the truth was that Jack was just waiting to have immunity to mind reading before coming.

"Don't worry, Logan. Since he knew about our powers, I think he would have come here anyway to warn us and offer help. Now we have to figure out if he has any bad intentions or really wants to help," Charles said.

"I don't know if that's a good idea, Charles. It seemed like the Battle Sage didn't like that you tried to read his mind. If he realizes that we're still thinking about investigating him, he could become hostile," Beast said.

"I know, but we have to find out if he has bad intentions. Since he says he knows the powers of mutants, we can use that against him to find out more. We can ask him to teach some things to our students," Charles said.

"Then we took advantage of this combat class to ask Rogue to touch him without her gloves, just for a short time. Battle Sage won't even feel dizzy because he's very strong, but with this Rogue can see what powers he has and if he's hostile toward us," said Charles.

The other mutants had to admit that it was a good idea, after all, Jack had said that he knew about the power of mutants, so he wouldn't get upset if Rogue touched him and read a small part of his memory.

Jack walked around the mansion where the mutants lived and found a good and calm place. After all, there were children who had fragile minds because they suffered rejection from their parents. Jack knew that most mutants had some serious psychological problems.

Of course, Jack couldn't enter all the places, such as the mutants' training areas, the brain room, the students' dorms, and some other places that were not allowed for Jack. Soon Jean came to take Jack to a room that they had prepared for him.

Jack entered his room and then went back to his mansion in Malibu. As someone who could use spatial magic, it didn't make sense for him to stay in a strange place when he could sleep and rest in his own house.

Not to mention that in his house, Jack could take off his hero suit and relax without worrying about being discovered. Jack was concerned that the mutants on Magneto's side would discover his normal identity. Even if he wasn't afraid, he still needed to take precautions.

Jack was no longer a normal human and didn't need to sleep much, nor did he experience much mental fatigue due to the mind stone. But he decided to sleep at least four hours a day, just to have the feeling of rest.

So he returned to X-mansion in the early morning and waited a few hours before leaving his room. Jack went to the cafeteria to eat with the other mutants and attracted attention by continuing to wear his hero suit.

Jack took his food and sat down next to Logan. After all, Jack had always been a fan of Wolverine and wanted to fight with him now that he was almost immortal and strong like Wolverine was.

"Good morning, Logan," said Jack with a smile.

Logan looked at him, thought for a moment, and decided not to respond, simply continuing to eat.
