"Hey ha!"
With a loud shout, the two figures in the yard embraced, causing a massive tree to collapse. It was hard to believe that a six-year-old girl could achieve such destruction with her fists.
Senju-ryu, the technique at play, was a mysterious power. Despite its seemingly simple appearance, it was a complex art. Understanding the mutual effects of force was crucial. Simple control of chakra, gathering it in hands and feet for release, wouldn't account for the level of destructive power displayed. The return impact alone could break the caster's arm.
In the corridor beneath the eaves, a kind-faced woman observed her granddaughter's training affectionately. She was Uzumaki Mito, the wife of the first Hokage and the first Nine-Tailed Jinchuuriki. The duo formed the strongest team behind the scenes in Konoha.
Taking a sip from her teacup, Mito spoke, "Tsunade-chan, don't overexert yourself; come, have a glass of water."
"No, Grandma Mito!"
Without turning back, Tsunade declined, persisting in her training to enhance her chakra control. Punch after punch, she tirelessly worked to improve.
"You, kid, the trees in the yard can't harm you. Take a break," Mito insisted.
"What, Grandma? There are as many trees as I want," Tsunade retorted, continuing to punch the air. Her unique physical abilities made practice props insufficient to cause her harm. Only when she felt improvement did she punch the wooden stake to validate her progress?
"I've never seen you practice this hard before. What happened?" Mito inquired.
Tsunade, gritting her teeth, remained silent, sweat dripping down her face.
Seeing her granddaughter's silence, Mito smiled and said, "Tell Grandma; Grandma will help you."
In Mito's eyes, Tsunade possessed the potent chakra and tenacious vitality of the Senju and Uzumaki clans, making her unmatched in the current ninja school. Her talent, especially in medical ninjutsu and taijutsu, surpassed even her grandfather Hashirama.
Hesitating for a moment, Tsunade finally spoke, "No matter how I think about it, I can't defeat her. Physical skills alone won't cut it. Grandma, you don't let me learn ninjutsu. If I knew fire escape, I wouldn't be in such a predicament."
"Tsunade, mastering one thing in your life already makes you powerful. Coveting other ninjutsu isn't suitable for you," Mito advised.
"Grandma! Regardless of what you say! You said you'd help me, so teach me the ninjutsu that can beat her!"
"You haven't even mentioned her name yet."
"Miki, Aburame Meiji!"
"Aburame clan?" Mito looked puzzled. "Did she use flame insects?"
"What's that?" Tsunade looked even more confused. "Grandma, are you confused? It's called sending bad bugs!"
"I'm not stupid. If it's flame-sending insects, fire escape won't work," Mito explained.
Tsunade, disappointed, exclaimed, "How is it possible? It means we can't win at all!"
"Why can't we win?" Mito stood up and said, "Tsunade, wait a moment."
She went inside and returned with two large scrolls.
"These were left to you by your grandfather," Mito said with a nostalgic look.
"What scrolls are these?"
"The art of channeling," Mito replied with a smile. "With these, it's hard to lose."
"Grandma is the best!" Tsunade cheered, hugging the two scrolls that were as tall as her.
"How do I use them, Grandma?"
"Place your blood on your fingerprints, and then take the time to practice," Mito instructed gently.
"Yeah!" Tsunade nodded eagerly, her eyes sparkling with determination. She couldn't wait to begin her training.
Meanwhile, in the Hyuga family area, Hitomi's movements were less dynamic compared to Tsunade's vigorous training. A simple wooden stake sufficed for her sustained strikes.
"Not enough!"
"Not enough!"
Her bandaged hands, stained with blood, continued relentlessly.
However, Hinata Hitomi lacked the convenient conditions of Tsunade, who could use medical ninjutsu to expedite healing. Hitomi had to rely on natural recovery, leaving her with evidence of her hard work in the form of scars.
"Miss," the maid beside her said, unable to bear watching, "Miss, you've been at it for a while."
Beside them, an aged man with the weight of life's experiences watched Hitomi.
He was a Hyuga elder, but he hadn't been addressed by that title in a long time. One of Konoha's founders, he was said to be a legendary figure capable of rivaling Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama. He was also Hitomi's father.
Hitomi's brother had already assumed the position of clan leader, leaving Hitomi born into the wrong family at the wrong time.
At this moment, someone approached and stood in front of Hitomi.
Seeing her father, Hitomi halted her movements, lowering her head without uttering a word. They looked more like members of the main family and branch family than father and daughter.
"Do you want to fight?" he asked.
Hitomi remained silent, clenching her fists.
"Only geniuses in this world are qualified to dance. You are not one, and neither am I."
Silence.
"I don't even dare to answer. What's the point of trying?"
"It's better to accept your fate, become someone else's bride and mother, and then die peacefully."
"You have to know that sometimes a peaceful death is a luxury."
"Why not accept it?"
"It's just that this level of resistance is too weak."
"You want to dance like a bird, but you can't."
"You are too weak."
"What's wrong with staying in a cage?"
"Even if I can get outside the cage, so what? It's just a bigger cage."
"There are also strong winds and heavy rains, and all kinds of wild beasts with malicious intentions."
"I'm not afraid," Hitomi whispered.
"What did you say?" Tian Nin asked.
"I'm not afraid!" Hitomi shouted, "I will fly away! Fly far away! Higher up in the sky! I will never stay in a cage!! No matter what the storm is! Don't let anyone else. You want to stop me!!"
"Really?" the man said, and the next second, he opened his eyes silently.
Byakugan.
Without any movement, tremendous pressure rose out of thin air, hitting Hitomi's body hard.
Staggering, Hitomi was pressed to the ground.
"It's really ugly. What's the point of not being afraid? In the ninja world, strength speaks for itself."
After being pushed to the ground, Hitomi gritted her teeth, resisted tenaciously, and kept trying to get up.
"Compared to monsters, you are so ordinary, my daughter."
"Shut up!" Hitomi growled.
All the bones in her body were shaking.
"Shut up! I'll fly up and show you! Don't always underestimate me!"
With a low roar, Hitomi exerted force, and then there was a click, and the bones were broken. Under the severe pain, Hitomi fell to the ground in embarrassment, covered in dirt and grass clippings.
"The so-called hard work is nothing more than that, ridiculous."
After saying this, the man put away his skills and turned around to leave.
"I told you not to underestimate me!!"
Behind him, Hitomi, with several broken bones, stood up tenaciously and screamed at his father's back.
The steps paused.
The man said, "Then let me see where you can fly."
At the same time, a ninjutsu scroll seemed to accidentally fall from his body.
As the man walked away, the maid on the side dared to step forward and help Hitomi.
But at this moment, Hitomi in her arms had passed out from the pain.
The maid picked up the scroll, endured a moment of curiosity, opened it, and looked at it.
She just glanced at it and immediately closed the scroll.
It wasn't something she could look at.
