Day 1

Inquisitor James Protea of the Holy Church of Shieldrake.

Investigative journal concerning two dead children found in Therese Village. A moderately-sized port town near the kingdom of Salentia.

I was sent to the village to investigate the childrens' mysterious deaths. The crime scene should be intact as the town sheriff sent a letter requesting an inquisitor to investigate the matter. Their letter stated that they will leave the crime scene untouched until the inquisitor arrives.

Letter by Sheriff Arby is as follows:

To the esteemed Shieldrake Inquisition,

We have discovered two children found dead behind the orphanage. I suspect that some witchcraft or monsters were involved. The bodies were completely drained of their blood. Our initial suspect was another child found at the scene carrying a knife. The knife had no blood on it, but the child won't tell us what happened. We ask for assistance on this case as we are not equipped to deal with these dark matters.

I should arrive by tomorrow morning. This will be my first real case and I shall not let the High Inquisitor be disappointed. As soon as I arrive, I will investigate the crime scene.
