Chapter 9

Samara stumbled on an invisible block outside the restaurant but immediately caught herself before she further disgraced herself. The only thought running through her mind was how she would get home, as the money in her purse could only carry her two miles or three before they threw her out if the cab. She glanced back and saw the Dwayne Johnson lookalike, in other words known as Mike had retreated back into the restaurant to meet her ex-fiancee, she laughed lightly at the situation she had gotten herself into, her engagement was off just after a dinner with her so called fiancee.

She still couldn't believe her celebrity crush of over twelve years turned out to be a huge narcissistic and egotistical jerkface, just like her ex-boyfriend. She tried so hard to hate him, she really did, but the fact that he was the major reason why she could still go to school prevented her from even having a negative thought about him.

Regardless of the situation, she knew she would not be married to someone like him no matter how sexy and hot he looks.

She knew she had no choice but to call the only other person on her call log that wasn't her father. Reluctantly, she buried her fingers into her hand bag and fished out the poor excuse of a phone. Her fingers hovered over the number for a minute before she gathered enough courage to press the number and hold the phone to her ear. It rang once, twice, thrice.....

"Hello" The sleepy voice greeted her and she felt even more guilty that she has to pull her from her sleep.

"Helloooo Samara?"

"Raven?"

"Hey girl, is everything alright?"

"Not exactly, Can you pick me up?"

"Sure, Where are you?"

"Uhh....."

Without ending the call, she sent a screenshot of her location on the map.

"Wow, dinner date?"

"Something like that, huge disaster by the way." She replied in a tone that literally said 'I don't want to talk about it'

"Okay, I'll be there in an hour."

"Thank..." She was cut off by the batter low warning on her phone.

She quickly send a text to Raven before switching off her phone determined to save the last 2 percent battery power. She decided to walk further down the road and away from the hateful glares and disgusting stares she was receiving from the couples stepping out from the restaurant. After five minutes, she found a bench and settled into, hoping with everything in her that Raven would be here quicker than an hour. The weather was still chilly even though the rain had stopped and the roads were still wet.

....

Neil glanced up from his magazine as his real dinner date settled into the chair opposite him. She was a pretty brunette with ample breasts and ass, good table manners, unlike the church rat his father had thrown into his lap, and from a good home.

"Did you miss me sweetheart?" Kendall was pretty enough to be in his bed and on his arm when he attended parties, but he preferred if she kept her mouth closed most of the time. She was as dumb as a cucumber and boring too.

Neil smiled at her before calling the waitress over. The main reason Kendall was here was to relieve his sexual urges but he should at least treat her to dinner first right? Be the perfect gentleman everyone expected him to be.

....

Charles couldn't believe his ears when the call ended. His grandson had been a total douchebag to the lovely sweetheart that is supposed to be his future daughter-in-law. Knowing Samara, she may probably have lost interest in him and may probably want to call this whole arrangement off but he wasn't going to allow it. He stood up from the wheelchair and walked towards the window which overlooked the lake in the backyard. He dialed a number and held the phone to his ear.

"Sir?"

"Sam?"

"Yes sir,"

"I need you to fake a Loan document."

"I'm listening sir."

.......

Samara smiled as her husband's arms wrapped around her waist from behind, she was washing the dishes and arranging them in the rack beside her to drain the water.

"You know, a good husband would have offered to help do the dishes."

"Well good thing I never boasted about being one right?"

"Did you at least put the kids to sleep?"

"I decided to let them have a little TV time first."

"Neilllllll" She groaned setting the last plate on the rack harshly and turned around to face him. "They have school tomorrow."

"I skipped school too when I was their age. Noone likes school."

"You're impossible." She shoved him out of the way and approached her kids who were watching cartoon on the large TV.

"Comeon kids you have school tomorrow." They grumbled as she reached for the remote to turn it off.

"But Dad said we could have..." She was cut off by the loud honking of a car outside.

"Babe are expecting anyone?" She asked confused.

"Not at all" He replied equally confused as they approached the front door.

.....

"Samara, Samara!!!!!"

She squinted her eyes as she gradually began to become conscious of her surroundings.

"Thank God, I was beginning to think you were dead."

Well she may have been since she was having such a 'heavenly' dream.

"Don't you know it's not safe to sleep out here?"

"I know I wasn't planning to." She groggily replied.

"You must be tired, Comeon let's get you home."
