Out of Straws

Well that had been a massive waste of time!

After their success at pushing the investigation forward in tracking down Celine, Kyle was insistent that they could make similar breakthroughs at the crime scene where Owl Tattoo's body was found. So they spent the afternoon driving up to 4th and Main and poking around in the alleyway there.

Enough time had passed that the police tape was down and there was no sign of the investigation. They'd had to compare the crime scene photos against the scenery to even know if they were in the right place. 

While the daylight had dried the main streets, in the alleyway the ground was still damp and slippery from the previous storm. The garbage cans were back in use, and between the dampness and the heat, the entire place stank.
