CHAPTER 29

"This is so extra" Anna complained for the sixth time as Elora pulled up the zipper of the dress. The navy blue dress that stretched to the mid of her thighs, hugged her body in all the right curves. It hung from her shoulder with two straps and A deep sweetheart neck flaunted her cleavage.

Anna was not used to wearing such chic look dresses. Actually she had never worn such a dress. She wondered what her Grandmother would say if she was home?

"Here, slip it on" Elora pointed at a pair of pencil heel pumps lying beside the dressing table. It was almost of the same colour as the dress, just a little lighter.

"I seriously don't believe you had all this in your closet for me, did you?" Anna tried to pull the dress a little down but it rode up again.

"Nah, I bought them. Today. They are amazing aren't they?" Elora patted herself on the back with a proud smile.

Anna sat down in front of the dressing table and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Elora had done her light makeup with red matt lipstick. She really had great sense of style and fashion. But Anna still felt uneasy as she sighed and looked up at her aunt who was smiling down at her.

"I....I seriously can't wear this. This is just... it's too much"

"Oh Comm'on, this is nothing compared to what you could actually look. I've kept it rather simple today"

Elora took out her phone and started scrolling through something trying to ignore Anna's complaints.

"Simple? This is simple? You know what? I'm not wearing this- "

The loud sound of the door bell ringing cut off her sentence as Elora's face instantly lit up.

"Ethan's here. Put on the heels and come down alright?. And..." She held Anna's shoulder and pulled her up on her feet.

"You look beautiful"

A small smile made it's way to Anna's face as Elora flashed her a grin and walked out of the room. Anna looked at the pair of shining heels and sighed again as she slipped them on. She looked at her reflection in the floor length mirror.

"At least I look taller" She chuckled to herself as she picked up the silver clutch Elora placed on the bed and made her way out of the room. Just as she stepped on the first step, a loud thud from downstairs reached her ears. Anna flinched.

"What was that?"

She hurried downstairs and when she stepped down, her jaws fell open. Was she dreaming? What was even happening?

Elora was lying down on the couch. Wait, not alone. Ethan was on top of her and both of them were looking at each other in the eye, their faces covered in half shock and half something Anna couldn't quite understand. Ethan's both hands were on either side of the lady as she looked up at him with her wide eyes.

'Are they going to get up?'

Anna cleared her throat and in a fraction of seconds, both of them clumsily stood up to their feet, fixing their already fixed clothes. Anna walked up to them and saw pieces of broken glass on the floor.

"What happened here?" Anna asked looking at the shattered pieces of glass.

Elora cleared her throat moving away from Ethan and stood beside Anna.

"I s-slipped and he t-tried to hold me but both of us..."

Anna looked stunned at the once confident lady who was stuttering now. Did she really hear that? Something was going on which she was unaware of and she had to find out what it was. But before she could say or ask anything Ethan spoke.

"You look stunning, Anna" Ethan nervously smiled rubbing the back of his neck, something she noticed he does when he's flustered. Was it because of Anna or because of what happened minutes ago? No, it definitely wasn't Anna because she saw how he stole quick glances at Elora who was 'acting' like she was busy looking through something in her phone.

"Thanks" Anna smiled.

"Shall we?" He asked pointing his thumb towards the door.

Anna nodded as he walked away first. She turned to Elora as she held Anna's shoulders.

"Enjoy yourself but remember to be back before 11pm okay?"

Anna examined her Aunt's face and the red tint on her cheeks did not go unnoticed by her. But nevertheless she nodded with a smile and made her way out.

As she reached to the car, Ethan opened the door for her and she passed him a small smile before slipping in the passenger seat. Ethan walked to the drivers seat and got in as well. He did not say anything as they both pulled the seat belts over themselves and drove away from her house.

There was a comfortable silence throughout the ride as the cold late evening breeze blew over Anna's face giving her goosebumps. She really missed going out like this with Eva whenever either of them was in a really bad mood.

As they pulled over at a restaurant, Ethan jogged to Anna's side and opened the door for her as she stepped out. It was a fancy restaurant with a glowing name board above which read, 'Eleven Madison Park'. Both of them walked in as Ethan held Anna's hand, helping her up the stairs. They walked in through the huge door and were instantly approached by a lady waiter.

"Reservation for Ethan Greene" he said as the lady nodded with a wide smile and led them towards the less crowded area of the restaurant. They walked in through a door and spotted their table and walked towards it.

As soon as they reached their table, it felt like all the heads turned to Anna's direction. Not only the people on their table but from the nearby tables as well. Anna was totally oblivious of it as she hugged Eva as soon as she saw her. There were around Seven of them at their table including Anna. Most of them were their friends from high school.

Ethan took a seat beside Anna and all of them started talking about things, bringing back some memories of their high school. Everytime anything was asked to Anna, she got a compliment about her dress and looks. Anna nervously flashed a smile to all of them as she regretted the decision of wearing the dress. She did not like so much of attention and it was the main reason why she did not want to wear that. The waiters arrived shortly and took down their orders.

As soon as the food arrived, everyone dug into it as the chats and laughter continued. Time flew away just like that and no one realized it was already 10:30pm. Anna looked at her phone and saw it was almost time to go home but glancing over at Ethan, she saw him talking and laughing about something with the other guys.

She decided to make a phone call at least to Elora so that she does not get worried up for her and inform her that they will be leaving shortly. Anna excused herself and picked up her phone as she walked away from the table. She could hardly hear anything from the other line as she walked further away from the loud chatters of the crowd.

Anna found herself walking into a small hallway which was empty. She felt relieved as she dialed Elora's number. No one picked up from the other side and the ring went on. Was she already asleep? Sighing to herself she turned on her heels but the hallway was no more empty. She saw a man standing at the door through which she entered.

He looked older, around in his late 30's. He was looking directly at her, from head to toe, shamelessly checking her out. Anna looked away and heaved a breath as she walked towards the door which he was blocking. As soon as she reached for the door knob, she felt a hand grip her wrist as she looked up at the man who was flashing her his filthy smirk.

She tried to free her hand from his grip but it only tightened around her skin. He pushed her against the wall and covered her mouth with his other hand as she felt her vision blurring with tears. She could not believe she was going to get molested here, in a public place.

"I saw you walking inside in that sexy dress babygirl. I wonder what's hidden under it." Anna's eyes went wide as she helplessly struggled in hid strong grip.

His breath stunk of alcohol and she felt she would almost throw up. Tears ran down her face as his head dipped in her neck, inhaling her scent. She tried to wiggle out of his grip but he was too strong for her petite figure to fight. She closed her eyes shut as she felt his dry lips brushing across the sensitive skin on her neck which disgusted her more than anything.

She tried to kick him in between his legs, but could do nothing as he pushed his legs between her thighs and pinned her in the place. Both of her wrists were held together behind her back with his left hand while his right palm pressed against her mouth to keep her from making any noises. Anna could feel his dirty lips dragging on her neck and down her collarbone. She knew where he was leading to and more tears ran down her face as she pressed her eyes shut tightly still trying free her hands.

In a fraction of seconds, the palm pressed against her lips was withdrawn, the legs between her thighs disappeared and his disgusting body was abruptly yanked away from her. Anna slid down the wall, onto the floor. Tears continuesly streamed down her face as she tried to stable her ragged breathing.

She heard grunts and groans from around her but could hardly come up to look at what was going on. When she heard a voice cursing at the man, her ears perked up immediately. She could recognize that voice even in her sleep, from anywhere in this world.

Looking up through her blurred vision, she saw him.

The man was pinned on the wall as his legs hung one foot above the floor. His collar was in the hands of the man twice his size who glared at him like he would rip him apart any second. Anna smiled through her tears as she saw him grip his collar tight, almost chocking him. Was this a dream too?

"Don't touch what belongs to others" he growled, as he delivered a final punch to the pervert's face. A loud thud reverberated through the empty hall and the man fell knocked out on the floor before her. But her eyes never moved away from the him, who was glaring down at the unconscious man on the floor.

This wasn't a dream. It was him, it was really him. It was Raven.

A/N:- Raven should have just killed that jerk:)
