23 CHAPTER 23

His lips felt so soft and warm against hers that she almost melted in that moment. Wave after wave of chills ran down her spine when his lips moved ever so softly across hers and almost gasped when he circled his hands around her waist and gripped her firmly.

Raven pulled her closer and pressed his lips harder on Anna's which had her shutting her eyes close. She did not know what to do so she stayed still and let him take the lead. Raven pulled away after a couple of seconds which felt like hours to Anna. He stared at her right in the eyes and smiled before pulling her into his warm embrace, while she was still recovering from the kiss.

After a lot of pleadings, Raven let go off her and Anna was finally able to get out of the guest room and rush into her own. She sat down on the bed and replayed the scene in her head over and over again. Everytime it flashed in her mind, a slight shivers went down her body and her cheeks turned crimson in no time. She was almost overwhelmed by the feeling when she realized it wasn't a simple kiss.

'My first Kiss'

She gasped and closed her mouth with her palm and threw herself back on the bed.

'Oh my God. I just got my first kiss'

"Congratulations. Though you did not kiss him back"

Her inner mind was glaring at her.

'I don't know how to'

Anna face-palmed herself. Obviously, she had never kissed anyone before so she had zero experience in that field. She was rolling on the bed from one side to another smiling like an idiot when her phone went off. She quickly reached towards the night stand and carefully grabbed her new phone as her old phone was broken the night of that accident.

"Hey!" Anna chirped through the phone, grinning to herself.

"Wow, what's up with the voice" Ethan chuckled from the other side and Anna bit down on her lips and cleared her throat.

"Nothing, you say. Why'd you call?" she tried to sound normal and suppressed the smile from stretching across her lips by pressing them together.

"Just wanted to check on you. We haven't met after the hospital trip. How have you been?"

"I'm doing just fine. Grannu is not home. Aunt Elora is sick so she is gone to pay her a visit" Anna sighed and reached for the glass of water and took a big gulp from it. She suddenly missed her Grannu.

"So you're alone with your man?"

Anna chocked on the water and started coughing very badly while Ethan was chuckling silently from the other end. He could tell she was somehow affected by Raven and knew exactly how to set her off guard.

"What...What do you mean?" Anna finally spoke after a few minutes of vigorous coughing.

"Calm down Annie, I was just kidding. Well now I gotta go. Take care, I'll see you soon"

'See you soon?'

"Bye" she hung up and placed her phone back on the nightstand.

"Your man" her inner mind imitated Ethan's words and Anna could not help the blush that tinted her cheeks followed by a small smile. A thought crossed her mind and she quickly got up from the bed and took out her diary from under the mattress. She plopped back down on the bed and opened the purple covered book, grabbed the pen which was tucked inside it before she set down her thoughts onto the paper.

Wow, I mean can you believe it? I just got my first kiss, or maybe I lost my first kiss because it was so unexpected. I did not kiss him back tho. I don't know how to, I've never done that before. Ugh! I'm so confused over this man. One moment he behaves like a baby and the next moment he stares at me like he is gonna beat me up or maybe something else?...

Okay, don't go there. But he becomes a totally different person when we're alone, at least that's what I've observed. His eyes, they're deep and so intimidating. I'm sure he loved his wife a lot because the way he is so clingy with me thinking that I'm her, says it all. But yeah, the point is, he caught me off guard when he kissed me so suddenly but I don't regret it. The only regret is I couldn't kiss him back because of my inexperience and maybe I won't have the chance in future when he remembers everything, would I?

She closed her diary and shoved in back under the mattress. Anna laid back on the bed and closed her eyes but when she did , she saw his face, his green eyes and his soft lips. Her eyes fluttered open and a small smile caressed her lips. Anna knew she was getting herself into something she knew nothing about. This butterflies in her stomach and the continues blushing was all new to her but she had read enough novels to know what that meant.

She was growing feelings for a man who did not even realize what he was doing and would probably forget her after his memory returns. It was exciting but also frightening to her. She was able to get herself together after her parents death but it was not easy. Her heart was shattered and soul crushed, still she was strong enough to get over it.

But was her heart strong enough to take another heartbreak? Raven would probably leave after he recovers but she would be left behind with a broken heart. Could she handle that? All of her thoughts halted when she heard footsteps outside the bedroom door. She sat up and fixed her narrowed eyes on the closed door, expecting the same person.

The door knob turned and Raven pocked his head in and flashed a wide smile when his eyes met Anna's. She smiled back with a little pink tint on her cheeks as a quick flashback played in her head of the moment they had just an hour ago. He came in jogging like a toddler and Anna could not help the chuckle that escaped from her. He stood right in front of her, towering her small figure before swiftly crossing his foot and sitting down on the carpet.

Anna looked at him confused, but he continued grinning at her. There was a comfortable silence in the room mixed with the scent of his strong cologne. She still couldn't figure out if he smelled naturally of the cologne or was it his expensive clothes.

"You.....want something?"

She managed to speak however her voice came out soft. Raven nodded swiftly with sparkling eyes and his smile widened.

'What is he so excited about?'

Anna blinked at him before clearing her throat and putting on a straight face.

"And what is that you want?"

She was getting comfortable with him as she spoke but his smile slowly narrowed down. Anna watched as his smile turned into an almost smirk as he got on his knees before her and placed both his hands on her either sides.

Anna leaned away a little, not wanting anything to happen again, she had already thought about it a lot. Raven came closer and leaned forward while Anna closed her eyes and her lips parted on their own. Her mind was saying something else but her body was doing the opposite.

She waited for it to happen again but did not feel his lips on hers instead she felt his warm breath hit her neck as he whispered something in her ears.

"I want Ice cream Noona"
