1 Chapter 1: Hi my name is river
I didn't understand why my parents left me here in the park but I know they are not coming back to get me anytime soon, they told me it's my fault that I'm not a normal boy; I don't have friends, nor a girlfriend, or go out to parties like all the other kids. Well it's their fault they made me this way always avoiding my questions about certain things. I wonder around before I come across a small diner and see that they are hiring which caused me to smile. I walk inside and straight to the bar ringing the bell, a small old lady come out wearing a blue apron. She had one of the cutest smiles in the world but she didn't notice me till I sat down and started to play with my fingers.
"Hello lovey how can I help you?" She asked while opening a note pad
"I-I-I saw y-y-your help w-wanted poster!" I stuttered out
Did I mention when I get nervous I stutter alot and they say it makes me cuter which is weird.
"Well ain't you a cute thing"
"T-T-Thank you!" I said
"Well we do need help since we are close to the military base and a bunch of soldiers come in for lunch" she said
I notice she had a small country accent and it made me smile because she could be like a real mom to me more then my actual parents was.
"R-R-Really? T-That sounds l-l-like a lot to do b-by yourself!" I exclaimed
"Yea, I need to get your parents consent first" she said making me whimper and tear up
"U-U-Um t-t-they k-k-kinda d-d-ditch me I-I-in the park" I whined out
"Why would they do that!" She sighed
"Here I'll give you a job and a place till you get back on your feet, how old are you?" She asked me
"Seventeen" I answered
"My your young" she stated before handing me a apron
"Here you start today taking orders" she said while handing me a small note pad and a mini menu with every thing on it
"Thank you!" I smiled hugging her
"Your welcome cutie, what's your name? I'm dawn" she smiled
"River!" I exclaimed
"Well River welcome to the Moonlight diner!"Dawn said and service men started to pour in
I panicked looking at dawn for help but she laughed "god your cute" she patted my cheek
I blushed and walked away from her taking a bunch of orders, the service men kept hitting me making me blush hard. I never been hit on before because I never understood but they say the darnest things! Most of the men called me cute or down right adorable, they also asked for my number but my 'parents' cut my service off so I couldn't but they gave me theirs!
"Boys stop hitting on my new employee!" Dawn yelled and they whined
"But Dawn he so cute! I like to take a bite out of that ass" someone yelled causing me to blush deep
"Carter stop and eat your food! god you boys are going to corrupt him!" She yelled and they laughed
"Ain't nothing innocent about that ass!" Carter yelled once again
I squeaked and ran away from his table making him laugh
"Dawn why are they hitting on me? A couple of them shoved their number in the tip!" I blushed and showed her
"Wow your doing great but the numbers got to go! they are just Horny" she giggled and I was confused
"Horny?" I asked leaning on the counter
"They want to have sex with you make babies" she giggled
"W-what!" I yelled blushing harder
"Yea they been gone from home so long they can't wait to jump the first they see" she explained
I nodded and got back to work but I soon took my lunch break at one of the tables, I was eating a steak when Dawn came to eat with me. We talked and talked till our break was over and I went back to work.
"Hi! Welcome to Moonlight Diner! My name is River and I'll be your waiter!" I smiled at the service man in front of me
"Well Hi River, I would like a glass of Fruit punch and a side of you" he smiled making me blush
I wrote it down and looked up while taking the drink menu "and what would you like to eat?" I asked while smiling
"Can I have a turkey club sandwich?" He asked and I wrote it down "and a ice cream Sunday" he added
"Ok is that all?" I asked and he nodded "can I have a name for the table?" I asked once more
"Staff sergeant Nova" he said and I nodded before heading back to the bar. I felt him slap my ass causing me to gasp really loud, I looked around to see if anyone saw him slap my ass but they didn't which is weird. I glared at the man before giving his order to dawn who shook her head.
"Don't worry about Nova, he always touching people like that but your the first person who ass he ever slapped like that" she smiled making me blink
"I'm the only one who ass he slapped?" I asked while looking back at Nova
"Yea, he had a boyfriend but they broke up when Nova found out that he was cheating on him with his best friend" she said "he Been down but your the only one he showed interested in"
"Why me?" I huffed getting his food from her
"Beats me" she said while chuckling "now shoo you got his food" she smiled
