10 Chapter 9

The object only two steps away for I'm my grasp. I reach for it. My hand shaking in fear, not knowing what I would experience or envision.

I close my eyes bracing for the unknown and my heart pounding in my chest.

I look into the distance, the fields filled with homes that belonged to villagers. The luscious green grass beneath my own feet. the wind howling peacefully. leaves on trees in the distance giving life to their surroundings. A small row of ruby-red roses surrounding one of the trees.

All of a sudden, I hear a scream. it was not of panic but playful. this scream was coming from a small child being chased by another child. I presumed they were sisters. this vision was peculiar as I were able to explore this peaceful world without causing harm.

I cautiously, begin to step towards them. as I come towards them I see a man watching them. you could see his love for them in his body language towards them. As I near them even more it becomes clearer to me that they are my own children.

I gasp. now knowing who the man was. his head turns towards me, his black, wavy locks following behind. "Ben?" I say confused.

"Rey!" he says. I had very much forgotten what it was like to hear him say my name. A tear leaves my eye as I begin to sob.

I wipe my tears away from my face. Its tear-drop shape fitting snugly into my palm. the encrusted amethysts that worn down and what looked like pieces of Kyber crystal attached to it. I run my fingertips across the kyber crystals being careful not to cause any damage to them. the hole at the top of the amulet looked like it used to be a necklace but there was no chain when I picked it up. I reach into my satchel that was attached to my side and I pull out a piece of ribbon. I tie it around my neck safely, knowing this may be useful one day.

I turn it over to see what looked like co-ordinates on the back. I will check these out in the morning I think to myself. this amulet looked strangely familiar. I knew I have seen it before. but where? a few minutes pass of me trying to remember where I had seen it before.

" The texts!" I almost scream in excitement.

As fast as my legs could take me I ran back to the ship to find the dated, yet useful, texts. I finally get to the ship, I press the buttons to open the hatch and I squeal with excitement. I grab the text. Trying to be careful so that no loose pages would fall out of the 'relic' of a book.

I finally get to the page after looking through the other two books with no answers. there it was. the same amulet that around my neck attached to a piece of ribbon. I close the book taking note of the page number and take it inside. I sit down on the sofa or what looks like it anyways. I begin reading. as I read, I gather all of the information I could get about it.

BB-8 and DO come into the room attempting to sit next to me but failing. this of course breaks my concentration. I think for a minute processing all of the information that I had just read. my eyebrows raise as I now discover I have a key to the world between worlds. Why would Luke hide this key? what did he want with it?

"BB-8 do you know anything about the world between worlds?" I question him.

I just want to say thank u for putting up with my awful writing for this long. if I have different words for things its cuz I'm from the UK so if u don't understand it then just google it. And sorry this chapter is now over 700 words (i got too carried away).
