5 Chapter 4

What have I done?? I think to myself knowing that blood is still streaming from my hand.

I get the med box and grab a gauze and bandage and begin patching it up. 'this will do for now until I get to the medbay' I think to myself.

I change into a new outfit that's more like a muted white. I try to put on my arm wraps but the pain is too much to bear. So I decided to head directly to be the med bay. I try to go unnoticed but Poe catches me wincing in discomfort holding my hand in agony.

"Rey?" he asks puzzled. His eyes flickering between me and my injury. "Rey, what happened?" he asks with more concern.  I reluctantly reply 'I lost my temper'. I look toward ashamed of my action. He doesn't say anything and places his hand on my back to comfort me. And he begins walking with me to the medbay.

The nurse begins to re-align my bones and sets them into place with a splint. She tells me that it should heal within a few days as I am force-sensitive, and recovery time is a lot quicker. Poe said nothing. He just watched and let the silence fill the room around us. The only noise is from the machines around us.

After what it seems like an eternity he opens his mouth and says "Rey what REALLY happened at exegol?"

I sigh and I tell him everything. From how my and Ben's force bonds started to when he... he... died.

Poe looks at me disgusted. Like I have betrayed him. Tears are now filling my eyes, knowing I have disappointed him. " does Finn know? " he asks concerned. "no" I reply. Silence filling the air once again. Until finally Poe leaves. He turns around just before he turns around and says ' I thought you were better than that Rey'.

I begin to cry. Not just with heartache but knowing I have disappointed one of my only friends.
