Royal families

"Ready to go?" Uncle Hue asked

"I'm ready" Henry responded with a strong voice.

Uncle Hue placed his hand on Henry's shoulder and his vision went dark but this time it took a while to clear. Henry honestly hated when his uncle would do this without warning. Cause it would mess with his senses but he was starting to get use to it, the first few times it was so unbearable that he would vomite.

Looking around Henry found himself on a paved path surrounded by a large grass field with a few trees in the distance. Henry followed the path with his eyes and saw that in the distance was a small castle he wasn't familiar with and surrounding it were a few houses and buildings .

"Are we inside one of the other families territory, does that mean we'll be staying here? " Looking at the giants walls that could be seen in the distance Henry asked his uncle.

"Hmm" Uncle Hue looked at Henry and smiled, he then moved forward. Henry noticed that he neither confirmed or denied it but he thought his guess was right.

They walked along the path and before they reached the small town in the distance they took a detour towards a nearby forest. After a few turns they appeared in front of a small Japanese style house.

Without knocking Uncle Hue opened the door and proceeded to remove his shoes and took a pair that was nearby, Henry mimicked his action. They went inside the ghostly-quiet house. It was small with little to no furniture. Henry appreciated the simplicity of the house.

He followed his uncle to what seemed like the back door. Opening the back door Henry saw an old man with snow white hair wearing a light blue armor with simple flower designs. The man may have looked old but he had little wrinkles, appearing to be in his early 50s but in reality had lived over a hundred years. The old man gave him a similar feeling that Uncle Hue gave him but his uncle appeared to be in his mid 40s.

The old man had a face that most woman would find appealing and to add boiling water to lava his face had a few scars which only improved his character , some were shallow while others was deep. This was Kento, a war veteran and the current uhead of the Lotus family.

Without even look at the people who sat down by his small table, Kento picked up the kettle and poured what seemed like tea into small cups and passed it to them. Henry didn't notice until now but the surrounding environment was very cold, if not for the tea he wouldn't have noticed. His body shivers a little bit but he ignored it.

*Sip* *Sip* *Sip*

For the next following minutes the three of them said nothing and only drank their tea. Henry looked and saw both men seemingly in a trance, staring at the large pond infront of them and on the other side of the pond was a very large tree, moments later he also fell into a state of thought.

"Did you tell him? " Henry's train of thought was broken by a commanding and strong voice.

"hmhm, I didn't" Uncle Hue shook his head as he got up.

"behave yourself OK" Henry was shocked to see his uncle get up and leave after leaving his words.

"Do you have any idea why you were brought here?" Kento asked the confused boy.

"I'm not sure Sir, it's either you'll be helping us get somewhere or I'll be staying here" Henry answered as he rearranged his thoughts.

"He must be a trusted friend of Uncle... Are we gonna be staying here from now... No uncle hue didn't bring anything plus he's not restricted from going back ... Now that I think about it l, I'm all ready 15 so I can't go back *sigh* it's going to take a while for me to see my sister again" thinking about this Henry's expression turned slightly sour.

"Good guess but it's a little more complicated then that and you can just call me Uncle Kento" kento replied, his voice and expressions stayed the same with no change.

"Henry tell me what is your main goal in life? " Kento asked, he didn't even turn his head and continued to stare at the pond

"To get strong and save my sister" Henry replied without hesitstion. His fists tightened and his expression was filled with determination.

"Do you think you will archive this goal, what if you fail? " Kento asked as he looked at the boy.

"I can't afford to fail so I can only do my best or die trying" Henry replied with complicated emotions written on his face but his eyes were determined.

"Hmmmm" kento nodded in approvement. "What if I told you that I'm going to help you archive your goal" Kento asked

"I would ask you what you want in return" his uncle had taught him that there was no such thing as a free lunch. He trusted his uncle and it seemed like his uncle trusted Kento so he had no reason to be skeptical. Plus his uncle taught him to never turn down a deal without hearing it first no matter who the other person was.

"You'll find out soon enough" Kento replied amused by the kid but his expression was the same, stoic and serious one.

"Let's go, and bring your bag" kento said as he got up.

They wore their shoes and left the small house. Kento led the way and Henry followed slightly being while in deep thought.

"Tell me boy, what do you think of my Lotus family" Henry snapped out of his train of thought as he looked at kento.

"I don't particularly know much about the royal families as I barely talk to anyone." Henry shook his head.

"My family hasn't been doing well lately, in fact we're currently the weakest amongst the royal families" Saying this kento felt slightly said.

"You see, my family has a problem with having new children and most of them that do get the chance end up losing them during childbirth. With some luck the child does make it but 90 percent of the time the child is a girl." Although times have changed and there are some women stronger than men, there was still that biological difference that could make the difference in a fight.

"Looks like all the bloodlines have their own issues" Henry thought.

....

During the final stages of the "wars of survival" a larg dungeons would appear in the sky and the last person to close it would be blessed with abilities that could be passed down from generations to generations they were dubbed as bloodlines.

The Lotus family along with the other four families were known as the royal families for their bloodlines gave them a boost that would help them in a fight and were the crème de la crème of humanities strength. Although the bloodline gave them an incredible boost in power they also had some "side effects", it also made it difficult to reproduce and what complicated things more was who they reproduced with, as they had to try and keep the bloodline as pure as possible. (Don't worry there isn't inscest here... yet. I mean I think)

The problem was that only two people got theses gifts at a time and a person with a bloodline couldn't get another one. Another problem was that the difficulty would increase tremendously each time and multiple people would die. Although

Some normal people where jealous of this fact and wanted such powers for themselves so they would use whatever was necessary to get it. More often then not this meant the royal families would be hunted down and killed. This was the reason they all mostly lived in one city. Besides whatever altercations they might have with each other the royal famalies always helped each other regarding this matter.
