6 Episode 3 - Family

Previously: Rick, Andrea, Glenn, Morales, and Allen were forced to gut a walker and walk among the dead, where they made it to the truck. At the camp, everyone was worried about their friends and family. Shane and Lori are together and think Rick is dead. Jim was acting strange.

Carl runs around in the camp with five other kids down near the quarry. Near the water, Lori sits on the ground with Donna and another lady. Miranda walks over towards them and she goes "Louis and Eliza, make sure you stay in my eye distance, okay?" Louis and Eliza both look at her "okay mom". Carl goes "Sophia, catch!" Carl throws a ball and Sophia catches it "ouch, it hurt my hand". Two of the other children laugh at her. Donna turns around "Billy! Ben! Play nice!". Lori looks at the other woman "hey Carol, you doing okay? We heard shouting coming from your tent last night" Carol goes "it was just Ed, he wasn't happy about how late Sophia was out last night, it's been resolved" Donna turns around and she sees Ed stood near some rocks smoking. Donna sighs at Carol "you mean resolved by him giving you bruises?" Lori shouts "hey! Donna!".

Back on the camp, Dale stands on the top of the RV holding a rifle and watching the camp. Grunting is heard coming from the distance, as Dale sees Jim up near the forest. Dale climbs down the RV and towards Jim. Dale goes "Jim?". Dale sees Jim digging up graves in the ground. Dale goes "Jim? What the hell are you doing?" Jim stares at Dale "it's for my wife and my boys".

Down at the quarry, Lori scrubs a shirt in the water, Miranda goes "there was a little cafe where I used to live, and I have to admit, I miss the coffee there every day-" Lori laughs "Rick used to take me to this restaurant-" Lori stares at the water, as she remembers he's dead. Lori sighs and Donna goes "well, I miss sending Allen down to the store to get my favourite bottle of Char...don..nay" Carol laughs "well, I miss-" Ed walks over "HEY! You wanna do your job and quit jabbering on and bothering these people" Carol stutters "I...I'm sorry" Donna glares at Ed "bothering us? Hon, the only one bothering us right now...is you" Ed grabs Carol's arm "GET UP, LEAVE THESE BITCHES TO WASH" Carol goes "um, okay-" Ed pulls Carol away. Lori goes "ED!".

Shane walks with T-Dog and Jacqui in the camp, where they hear a noise coming from the concrete road to the camp. Shane stares at a truck heading towards the camp. Amy runs over smiling "are they back?" Shane smiles at her "it looks like it" Amy smiles again "Andrea".

Jacqui runs down to the quarry, where she sees shouts towards Lori and the others "THEY'RE BACK, GLENN AND THE OTHERS". Donna smiles "Allen-" Miranda also smiles "oh god, Morales!". Miranda, Louis, Eliza, Donna, Billy, Ben, Amy, Lori, Carl, Shane, and everyone watches the truck pull up at the camp. Inside the truck, Morales looks at Rick "welcome to home, come meet everyone". Morales gets out of the truck and he runs over to Miranda and kisses her. Miranda smiles at him "I'm so glad you're alive" Morales smiles "you're not getting rid of me that easy".

Allen, Glenn, Andrea climb out of the back of the truck, Amy screams "ANDREA?" Andrea smiles "oh, Amy!" Andrea and Amy hug each other crying. Lori smiles at Andrea. Carl looks at Allen, who walks over and hugs Billy and Ben. Allen looks at Donna "hey" Donna punches Allen's arm "don't ever, ever make me think you've died!" Allen smiles and he kisses Donna on the lips. Lori looks at Carl and she smiles "hey, you okay?" Carl nods "yeah, I'm okay". Shane goes "Glenn? How'd you get out?" Glenn smiles "the new guy, hey...he's a Sheriff's Deputy too!" Shane stares in shock as Rick gets out of the truck, Rick smiles at Shane "Shane?" Shane then looks at Lori and Carl. Carl screams "DAD!" Rick stares in shock "C...Carl?" Rick drops to his knees as he embraces Carl. Lori looks at Shane until she sprints over to Rick and she kisses him on the lips "it's you".

Inside Lori's tent, Carl lays in his bed asleep. Rick sits on his bed and he sees a small box beside him. Rick opens the box and sees loads of photos inside the box. Lori walks inside the tent. Lori sits down beside Rick and she looks at the photos "me and Carl...we thought...we arrived at the hospital to come and get, but it was overrun, we thought...we thought-" Lori looks at Rick in tears. Rick smiles at her "you and Carl are safe, that's all I would have wanted, Shane kept you safe you have nothing to feel bad for, okay?" Lori smiles at him "I love you" Rick kisses Lori.

Shane walks around the camp and he sits down on a chair on his own. Suddenly, shouting comes from one of the tents, Shane turns around and he sighs "shit". Shane walks over to the tent, and a slap is heard from the inside, Shane rips the tent open and Carol lays on the floor.

Rick walks out of his tent, and the sun burns his eyes. Sizzling is heard coming from the campfire. Rick walks over and he sees Shane stood with Glenn and Dale. Shane smiles "morning man" Rick hugs Shane "you alright?" Shane nods "yeah, Glenn was just explaining about the city, and how it's completely overrun?" Rick nods "yeah, it's not safe down there at all".

Unzipping is heard as Ed walks out of his tent with a bruised face. Rick looks at Ed, then at Shane. Shane goes "Carol and Sophia stayed with Andrea and Amy last night, there was a little disagreement" Rick looks at Shane "how many guns do we have here, at the camp?" Shane goes "well, we have Dale's rifle, my shotgun, Andrea's handgun, and your revolver" Rick looks at Dale, then at Glenn, then back Shane "so what we need are more guns?" Shane goes "trust me, guns? They are the hardest things to find nowadays" Rick goes "what if I told you...that I had a stash?".

Inside the RV, Andrea and Amy sit reading a book. Carol walks out of the bedroom "have any of you seen Sophia?" Andrea goes "I haven't seen her this morning" Amy looks at Carol worried.

Carl and Sophia walk through the forest together. Carl goes "it's pretty in here" Sophia goes "I like walking with you in here" Carl goes "thanks, I like walking with you too" Sophia smiles at him until a growl is heard coming from behind them. Sophia turns around and she screams. Carol runs out of the RV panicking "SOPHIA!".

Lori runs over "RICK! I CAN'T FIND CARL!". Suddenly, Carl and Sophia run out of the forest as a walker follows them from behind. Lori screams "Carl!". Rick sprints over and he grabs Sophia, as Lori grabs Carl. Rick shouts "SHANE!". Shane aims his shotgun and he then blows the head off the walker. Shane stands there smiling. Miranda looks at Morales "why is there one of them up here?" Morales looks at Shane and Rick. Shane goes "you said there were hundreds of them?" Morales nods at him "yeah there was" Shane goes "obviously they're moving, there's clearly little food left for the walkers, so they've started going elsewhere" Amy goes "are you saying that more of them are gonna come here?" Shane nods at her. Rick then goes "unless we get more guns" Glenn looks at Rick "duffel bag?".

Rick stands with everyone, Lori shouts "you saw the city, you saw how dangerous it was, how hard it was to get out of there, and now you wanna go back for...for...for guns? No, Rick! Leave the guns, we're alive here, we're safe, please" Rick goes "that walker may have been the first, but it won't be the last, what if one comes in the night and attacks someone who can't protect themselves? These guns keep everyone safe, you know that" Carl looks at him "dad? I don't want you to go" Rick hugs Carl "we need these guns, I promise, after this, I won't ever leave again" Lori stares at Rick "don't make promises you can't keep". Shane goes "even if you could, how are you gonna get there?" Rick turns around and he looks at Glenn. Glenn sighs "shit" Rick smiles "I know Lori would feel better knowing you were there with us" Allen and Morales look at each other. Allen goes "we're coming too, me and Morales" Morales looks at Miranda "I have too" Shane goes "you sure about this? This is dangerous!" Rick looks at Shane "I have to do this, I do".

Allen and Morales climb onto the truck as they get ready to leave. Dale looks at Rick "you bring all of them home, you hear me?" Rick shakes Dale's hand "I give you my word" Shane looks at Rick "be safe" Rick smiles "you to brother". Rick and Glenn get into the truck. Rick drives off. Shane sighs and he looks at a tent where Jacqui is getting out from, and she gestures Shane to come over to her. Lori stares at Shane as she walks away and towards Carl, Sophia and Carol. Shane walks over to Jacqui "hey, how's Jim?" Jacqui and Shane walk into the tent. Jim sits up from the bed and he goes "I'm sorry if I scared Dale" Shane smiles "you scared us all, I mean...you were digging graves, Jim?" Jim goes "my wife, and my boys...they're still out there, half-eaten, probably one of those monsters, I...I-" Shane looks at Jim "you are going to be okay".

Ed walks over to Carol and Sophia. Lori glares at Ed. Ed looks at Carol "I know I've hurt you in the past, and I've done things to Sophia. But Caro-" Carol takes her wedding ring off and she starts to cry "men like you never change, you'd caused pain in my life for thirty years, and it ends today!". Carol hands Ed her wedding ring "come on Sophia". Ed glares at Carol angrily.

Next Time - Costs - With Rick, Glenn, Morales, and Allen heading to Atlanta for guns, where they find an empty city. Back at the camp, Dale takes Amy and Andrea fishing. As night falls, Lori is concerned for Rick, but a new threat arises in the camp, that causes mass-panic.
