4 Episode 2 - Atlanta

Previously: Rick was shot whilst at work, and awoke in a hospital to find out he has woken up in the midst of an apocalypse. Learning how to survive the walkers, Rick met Morgan and Duane. Rick eventually found himself at Atlanta searching his family. A voice on the radio called for Rick after he was swarmed by hundreds of walkers inside Atlanta. Shane and Lori were at a camp.

Rick pressed down on the button on the radio and he goes "hello?" the male voice on the radio "when I give you the signal, get out of the top of the tank, and head down the road that has the cafe on the corner, head down there, till you're about halfway down the road, and I'll meet you" Rick goes "w..what's your name?" the voice goes "we have more serious matters at the minute!". The voice goes "there's one geek on top of the tank, kill that one and run for your life, got it?". Rick grabs his duffle bag and also grabs his rifle that's on the floor. Rick then pushes the tank door open at the top of the tank and he shoots the walker on top of the tank. Rick looks around and he sees the cafe. Rick jumps off the tank, holding onto the duffle bag. Rick shoots another walker. Rick continues to run down the road until he goes to pass an alleyway, a man then grabs Rick "this way! Come on!". A walker grabs onto the duffle bag and Rick tries pulling it back, but the man goes "HURRY, THEY'RE COMING THE OTHER WAY" Rick lets go of the duffle bag, and the man starts to climb up a ladder, Rick stares at one of the walker's, the man shouts "HURRY UP". Rick climbs up the ladder, and onto a balcony. Rick stands there out of breath. Rick goes "I'm Rick" the man nods "Glenn Rhee" Rick smiles "nice to meet you" Glenn nods "sure, let's get back to the others" Rick looks at him "others? Uh, the evacuation camp?" Glenn scoffs "uh, nope".

Running down another street, Glenn and Rick continue to run from all the walkers, Glenn runs up to a door and he knocks on it. A man opens the door "HURRY!". Rick and Glenn run inside the building as the man shuts the door. Rick walks into a warehouse and he stands there out of breath, a woman hits him in the arm and she aims her handgun at him "we're dead because of this asshole!" another man stands beside Andrea "put the gun down Andrea!". Rick looks at Andrea. Andrea lowers her gun. Glenn walks in "uh, this is Rick" Glenn goes "you've met Andrea, this is Allen and Morales" Allen smiles at Rick. Rick looks at Andrea "you said-" Andrea goes "we're dead?" Rick nods "yeah-" Morales grabs Rick's arm and pulls him through the warehouse, and into a shop, where Rick sees hundreds of walkers at the front door trying to get in.

At a campsite, Lori walks into her tent where Carl is laying on his bed. Lori smiles "hey baby" Carl sits up "are they back yet?" Lori shakes her head "no sweetie, we think-" Carl nods "they're not coming back?" Lori sits down beside him "we don't know that, but you know the city is not safe". Shane walks into the tent and he kisses Lori on the cheek "everything okay?" Lori nods "I was talking to Amy earlier, she's worried, so is Dale" Shane nods "I know-" a woman walks into the tent "Shane...Lori-" Lori smiles at her "hey Donna" Donna goes "Shane, we all need a word".

Outside of the tent, Shane walks out with Lori and Carl as Donna joins a group hoarding outside the tent. Lori looks at Shane, Shane goes "Amy, what is this?" Amy looks at two families "Miranda and Donna, and I want a search part to go down to the city to find our families" Shane sighs. Miranda goes "do our families not matter? Louis and Eliza's father is lost in that city!" Donna nods "so are Billy and Ben's father!". An older man walks over and Shane sighs "not you too Dale?" Dale goes "they're our people, when did we stop caring about them?" Lori goes "we didn't, but if we send a search party, what if they don't come back, we're putting lives at risk".

Inside the warehouse with Andrea, Allen, Glenn, and Morales. Rick goes "so you have a truck parked down the road?" Morales nods "but we can't get to it, the geeks are filling the streets" Rick looks at him "geeks?" Glenn nods "what do you call them?" Rick smirks "I call them walkers". Andrea looks at him "lovely name, now can we actually discuss how we're getting the fuck outta here?" Allen shakes his head "I have no idea, they see you if they smell you if they-" Rick goes "they can tell us by smell?" Morales nods "can't you?". Rick stands there thinking. Andrea looks at him "go ahead, we have all the time in the world right now" Rick goes "we need a body, I don't know if this is gonna work, but it's our only shot" Glenn looks at him and nods.

Back at the campsite, Dale walks over to an RV, and he sees a man sat looking at the sky "Jim?" Jim turns around "oh, Dale...I was just wondering, do you think my wife, my boys...you think they can see me, they blame me?" Dale stares at him "oh Jim...go get yourself some water".

Morales drags a walker's body into the warehouse. Allen looks at Rick "I hope you're right about this" Rick sees a fire axe in a glass box on the wall. Rick walks over, and he smashes the glass, and he pulls out the fire axe. Glenn looks at the walker's body on the ground and he goes "wait, what are we doing?" Rick looks at Andrea "can you find us some sheets, that we can wear? I think there were bedsheets out in the shop" Andrea looks at him "okay" Andrea walks out of the warehouse. Rick walks over to the walker, as Glenn, Morales, and Allen are standing around the walker. Rick takes a deep breath "this isn't gonna be nice" Rick swings the fire axe and smacks the walker's stomach, slicing it open. The stench releases and Glenn turns around throwing up.

Shane walks over to a man near the radio "hey, T? Heard anything?" T-Dog shakes his head "no man, I've tried, all I'm getting is silence" Shane sits down beside him and he sighs. A woman walks over "you think they're dead, don't you?" Shane looks at her "no I don't" the woman goes "you're a bad liar" Shane sighs "it's not easy Jacqui! I wanna send a group down there, I wanna bring the father's home-" Shane looks at Miranda and Donna, Shane continues "our sister's home-" Shane also then looks at Amy. Shane finishes "and our friends home" Shane looks at Dale, Carl, Lori, and Jim. Jacqui sits beside Shane "you have Lori, and you have your son-" Shane goes "C..Carl's not my son, but I made an oath, to my brother that I'd protect them".

Inside the warehouse, Rick swings the axe again and cuts more into the stomach. Andrea walks in with the bedsheets "oh my god, what the hell?" Rick looks at Andrea "there's a knife over there, cut in a hole for our heads to fit through the sheets. Andrea grabs the knife and starts to cut holes into the sheets. Morales looks at Rick. Glenn goes "this is so wrong" Rick goes "don't you wanna get home?" Allen is handed a sheet by Andrea, as she hands out everyone a sheet, and they put them on. Rick looks at all of them "we cover ourselves in the guts if I'm right, then they shouldn't hurt us" Andrea goes "and if you're wrong? We just gutted this guy for no reason". Rick, Andrea, Glenn, Morales, and Allen start to cover themselves with the guts of the walker.

Rick holds onto the fire axe and he stands among Andrea, Glenn, Allen, and Morales as all of them are covered in blood and guts. Rick goes "we have to go, now". Allen walks over to the warehouse door and he opens it. Three walkers stand outside and they stare at Allen growling. Allen stands there terrified until the walkers walk away from him. Glenn smiles "holy shit" Morales nods at Rick "well Officer Rick, looks like you were right" Rick smiles at him. Andrea stares at Rick and she smiles at him. Rick goes "was that a smile? Am I forgiven?" Andrea looks at him "get us all home alive, and yeah...you're forgiven" Rick looks at her "I will try my best". Outside the shop, Rick and the others walk among all the walkers. Rick looks at all of the walkers. Glenn looks at Rick and he whispers "end of the street, and turn left, hopefully, the gee-" Glenn smiles at Rick "hopefully the walkers aren't there" Rick whispers "alright, not far then".

Inside the forest surrounding the camp, Lori walks through the forest. Lori hears a noise behind her. Lori continues to walk until another noise is heard, Lori starts to smile, until Shane appears behind her and he kisses her on the lips. Lori lays on the floor, as Shane gets on top of her, Lori kisses him again. Shane smiles "how long we got?" Lori goes "ten minutes" Shane smiles at her.

Among all the walkers, Rick looks at the sky, which is grey. Allen walks by a walker, and it growls at him but continues to walk away from him. Suddenly, a drop of water hits Andrea's cheek. Morales looks at Andrea. Andrea whispers "Rick?". Rick notices drops of water dripping, as it starts to rain. Glenn looks to the floor at the blood dripping off the sheets from the rain. Glenn goes "it's washing off!" Rick goes "no it isn't, keep walking!". Rick sees a walker stop and stares at him. The walker then growls and Rick swings his fire axe "RUN!". Andrea pulls her gun out and starts to shoot walkers. Morales swings his baseball bat around a walker's head. Glenn and Allen run-up to their truck, and get into the back of it. As Andrea also jumps into the back, Morales gets into the passenger seat, as Rick gets into the driver's seat, and he starts the engine and drives off. Rick looks at Morales and they both start to laugh. Andrea goes "Rick, you're forgiven".

Next Time - Family - Reuniting with his family, Rick gets to know everyone at the camp, Shane isn't sure if he trusts Rick. Rick realises that the camp needs guns, and he and Glenn know where to find some. Carl doesn't want Rick to go. Jim is starting to freak out. Carl and Sophia find a walker.
