I’m ready to abide by it even if it’s a death of me

Elder Li didn't want to delay the chat with his friend.

So the very same day, Elder Li called Elder Shen for a meeting. Elder Shen asked his friend to come his Son's residence immediately.

Elder Li reached Father Shen residence in 30 minutes. He noticed everyone is tensed except Elder Shen. The string of lines formed on his forehead as he frowned. He couldn't help but ask

"Is everything alright, did I come in the wrong time?."

Elder Shen immediately cut his friend short and said

"My Son and Grandson are having a disagreement. Just Ignore them."

Elder Shen made his friend take a seat first and passed a cup of tea. Then he continued

"Zexian, what is the matter that you have come personally by yourself? Do you want go inside and speak inside the study room."

Elder Li looked at all of them and responded

"No that's fine, actually I want to speak to all of you."

Everyone turned their attention to Elder Li

"I hoping to invest in some business for Zexi in near future. But before that I want her gain some experience under Shen Mingyu. I hope it's not too much to ask for "

Elder Shen was feeling guilty already for not disclosing the fact that Ling is back to city T. So before asking his son or grandson he replied

"Yes why not, she can train with Shen Mingyu. It is not at all a big deal. Li Zexian, Why do you have come all the way for this? You can just give call, I will do it for you. You are my best friend after all?"

Elder Li was happy to do something his wife asked him. He thanked his friend, but he also noticed unhappy face of father Shen and Shen Mingyu was gone into deep thoughts. He turned to both of them

"Are you guys not happy"

Hearing words of Elder Li, Elder Shen looked at his Son and Grandson angrily. He said

"Yazhu and Mingyu, speak up now. "

Mingyu doesn't have any problem except some issues going on with Tai and Zexi. He decided not to bring up now. He will handle it himself. His priority is to handle Ling Now. He said quickly

"Grandfather Li, I am happy to train her. Don't worry about it all, Even Jiang Yu is there with me. I can ask both of them to work together."

Elder Shen relaxed after hearing Mingyu's words, then he looked towards his son

Father Shen spoke up politely

"No, I don't have problem. And moreover I don't involve with Shen Business as well. However currently there is already so much commotion going on regarding Mingyu Marriage. If Zexi comes to work with Shen's, everyone will assume Zexi and Mingyu are in relationship."

Elder Shen got extremely angry with his son and said

"Recently what happened to you Yazhu? Why are you paranoid about Mingyu? I understood about his safety concerns. Mingyu gave up on his independency and started living here with you. Also now his life threat has been neutralized by team."

He signed heavily and continued

"Mingyu's Marriage commotion is not going to end until unless he marries someone. We can't respond to every rumors and gossips. Don't give constraints to Mingyu in the name of Safety. I am already not very happy with whatever happened on the Hilltop today morning. As a father and head of the family, I'm telling you going forward, no one will interfere in Mingyu's matter without my permission"

Father Shen was stunned by his father's words. The last sentence said is for Ling matter, he understood the hidden meaning. He can't disobey his own father even though he is defense minister of the country. So replied

"Sorry father, Sorry Uncle Li. I respect father's words. I will take my leave as I have some meeting to attend to"

Both the elders nodded to Father Shen's head in approval.

Mingyu also left right after his Father. He wanted to do something about ling matter first.

Mother Shen was hearing the entire conversation from the side. She didn't want to voice out when all the men are intensively chatting. For the whole day she was worried about her husband, Mingyu, Elder Shen and especially Ling. Everyone is right in their own way. Now she felt relaxed after hearing Elder Shen and she thanked him in his heart for putting a full stop for worry.

Finally when Both Elders were left alone. Elder Shen took his friend to study and closed the door

"Zexian, today we received a message in our group about a girl named ling rescued from Hill in Military campus right?"

Elder Li replied "Yes, I saw the message, but I was talking to Hua that time. Didn't pay much attention"

Elder Shen sat next to his best friend. He said

"Wu Kun actually messaged about your granddaughter Jianling. I have only told you before she is alive and safe. Now that she is here to stay. I don't want to hide from you."

Elder Li was shocked and couldn't speak anymore. He wanted Elder Shen to continue

So elder Shen Continued

"Zexian, she is known as Gao Ling. Gao Tai left the country to keep your granddaughter safe. Due to mess created years ago, no one was aware about her identity. She studied in UK till four years ago and she came back herself to country on an exchange course. I have seen along with Kun few times without her knowledge. The truth is Wu Kun and Gao Tai made an agreement that we should not reveal her identity. We are afraid that there might be a bounty on Ling's head. The bounty has been there for years. Mingyu is trying to lift it off saying Wu Jianling is no more. No one knows who has put the bounty. My Son Shen Yazhu is trying to investigating it using government resources."

Elder Shen paused for breather and looked at his friend who was listening to him patiently instead of getting angry. This Man Li Zexian is sure a charmer by all means. He was feeling overwhelmed that his friends trusted him. If someone else was in his shoes, they would have got angry for hiding their granddaughter identity for so long.

Elder Shen Continued

"I'm extremely sorry Li Zexian, I'm ready to take up any punishment from you. It was not easy for me. I just hope you accept the agreement between your ex-wife and Kun"

Li Zexian smiled and said

"Shen Zhong, You old fool! Why will I get angry? I should be thanking you. I trust you and Kun with my life. Moreover if Gao Tai takes a decision, I'm ready to abide by it even if it's a death of me."

Both the friends felt very emotional after heart to heart talk. Li zixian continued

"So when are you going to show my granddaughter."

Elder replied happily

"Let's go right away to Old Wu Mansion which is close by, she is right there recuperating. Plus let's take a love sick boy Mingyu also with us."

Elder Shen couldn't tolerate his grandson being sad like a lost puppy, so he asked him to accompany to old Wu Mansion.

While everyone was talking something which is closely related to Gao Ling. She is not aware of it completely. She is deep sleep because Liang put IV and injected sleep medication. She needs to rest completely so that she regains her strength back.

All the Elders and Mingyu saw Ling in Sleepy state after they reached Old Wu Mansion. Elder Wu looked at Mingyu and said

"Mingyu, Ling is very sensible girl. She might have own stress due to struggle she had in the past few years. Don't lose your hope on her quickly. Stay here till she is here. We all will be outside, take care."

Mingyu looked at the sleeping beauty looking peacefully. He sat beside her on the big bed and brushed her hair affectionately. Then he made a quick call to Jiang

"Jiang, I got to know from father that there is still a bounty on Ling. I guess there is something going on with my name as well. Please find out and let me know.

Jiang replied

"Mingyu, we found one threat and removed them by handing over to your father. I can't believe there is another bounty so soon. This sounds like a trap for me."

Mingyu said "Yes, I feel the same way. Let's just find out and not respond with any actions. If we respond to threats it will give away that Ling is still alive somewhere. I have few doubts on the Old Kang Family. Can you do some discreet investigation on them? Without the help of Kangs no outsider can enter the country, you know that right?

Jiang Yu said "Yes, I am aware. I will find the details first and will report to you. The business too needs you Mingyu. Please come back to the headquarters."

Mingyu promised to return to work and he said

"And by the way Wu Zexi will be working with you from next week." With that he ended the call and laid down next to Ling. Her Body fragrance or tiredness, he didn't know, Mingyu also slept along with her."

Before Leaving to Wu Mansion, Li Zexian had called Kang Hua and told her that Mingyu agreed to train Zexi in Shen Industries. Kang Hua thanked her husband and passed the info to her favorite granddaughter.

After hearing the news, Zexi was jumping up and down in happiness. Zexi told herself

'Shen Mingyu, Wait and watch how I conquer your heart now"
