1 The Ending is yet a New Beginning

Hearts broken

Lives lost

Land divided

Hatred gained

Peace forggoten

War commenced

All seemed lost

If this wasn't the apocalypse, then it was worse than hell, if one wasn't dead then they'd mostly wished they were. The world they knew now was almost nothing but ashes and ruins. And it all came from beyond, no one would be prepared for what's to come. But as some say, where's there's darkness, there will be light…

There he was, all alone, having lost everything and everyone he cared about. His heart was shattered, moral cracked, and losing himself evermore. The rain was heavy, coulds showed no light through, and the wind sang a heavy tune of sorrow. He would've let his end on his own hand, but he couldn't for as much as he tried, every time it felt like his body wouldn't allow itself to be penetrated by the small blade he had found. As his brain would rebel against his thoughts, and rather carry the sorrow within then let the pain cease. What could this young man do anymore, if there was nothing left to do with?

But his life would soon reach a fork, from which he wouldn't come back to. Suddenly, he heard an explosion from behind, taking a look, it seemed a portal rapidly had opened and closed almost as quick as soon as something seem to fall out of it. Almost forgetting what he was doing, he took a look at it, but it wasn't something, mostly a someone. Still carrying the blade behind him, he approached carefully, as they didn't fall too far away, just less than a minute worth of walking. It appeared to be a bipedal form, but it was a being of some dark matter wearing armor not known to him. In fact, he'd never even seen it before, yet he'd seen enough already to know that it wasn't from here, and wasn't friendly. Just when he was a few feet away, the creature seemed to suddenly awaken.

It jerked up, only sitting up, yet seeing the human with the blade, it immediately raised a hand as if to stop. It spoke a language unknown to him also, the man responding with a tilted head.

"sorry, I don't speak whatever you're supposed to be" he added with his confusion. The creature slowly raised its hands towards his helmet, then proceeded to remove it slowly. Under it, nothing more than dark matter, no face, no eyes, just the pool of darkness shaped into a humanoid like shape. The man took a step back, trying to analyze what was just occurring before his eyes. Then it spoke again, in a distorted voice but enough to replicate his language. "w4Rri0R"

"excuse me?" he asked, slowly approaching the creature, who still was sitting in its current place.

"W4rR1or… r3aLitY… 4mM3nd"

Seeming as it was their final words, the creature made a sphere made of what looked like energy, a strong shine of blue emerged from it before it slowly started to disappear. The body of dark matter seemed to turn to dust before disappearing, and the armor simply vanished along with them. The spere was still in the air, right in front of him before suddenly dispersing itself into several threads and flowing into him. "son of a bi-" was all he could say before sudden pain swarmed over him, cries of incomprensible pain as an unknown power would soon fuse and be one with him. All his memories, physical and mental, everything that had occurred to him until that moment flew around as if death was just at his footstep. Bright particles quickly flew around him, and hitting against him as if patching themselves to him. After almost a minute of this intense experience, it suddenly ended, strangely enough he felt no pain, yet exhaustion took over him, making him fall to the ground. His appearance was the same as before, as if nothing of the previous ever occurred, and there he laid, almost breathless. His eyes closed slowly as a group started coming his way, unable to act as he slowly passed out.

Once he woke up, a cold and wet sensation was across his face and part of his body. He had been woken up by a splash of cold water, realizing a bunch of guerrilla remnants had taken him in for suspicious activity, at least that's what he could guess. Looking around, he was in an interrogation room which somehow had nothing in it, just the one was glass, and he couldn't see out. Only a guerrilla, showing no fear, equipped with the well known AK-47.

The armed man would lazily aim it at the suddenly awakened guy as he said "well, nap time is over, mind telling me where you're from?" he asked, his serious expression not wiping off of him. All this guy could answer, really, was "I'm from here?"

"I'm just supposed to believe you're human"

"how am I not human to you?"

"Who do you serve?"

"what am I supposed to say, Jesus?"

"you're from here earth?"

"I was born in Cali dumbass"

"that's still earth"

"and I don't know that already?"

"which happens to be here"

"you got that right? What do you want, a medal?"

"I don't like your attitude, but you're most likely human. What were you doing near the anomaly before you fainted?"

He had to think very quickly, which he managed to do without much of a hassle. Somehow…

"I was just trying to scavenge for any possible resources, then I felt an explosion, kinda knocked me out. Don't remember much, only being on the ground and your men coming for me"

The guerrilla only walked near the window without leaving the stranger out of his sight. He knocked on the window twice, although only one knock was received. He then gave the younger man a dead stare in the eyes.

"well, let's just say I believe you, but they don't. How do you plan on fixing that?"

"well, I clearly proved myself to be human, but you'd be doing me a favor if you ended my life on the spot"

"I would, but something doesn't add up, answer me this; how is it you were so near the 'explosion' as you call it yet you show no scars or burns, much less any debris"

Confused himself, remembering the events before being taken, he looked all over himself. No scars, no burns, no cuts, literally his skin was intact.

"sorry pal, ima just have to end it here"

As he says this, he properly aims for the guys, and right about when he was about to shoot, the young man took a step back, seeing as what would unfold just about now. The bullet fired, going literally through him and hitting the wall behind them. Expecting pain, he touch his head and all over, only for the both of them to realize that once they look at the wall, and there was the compact force impact, the fired bullet having not penetrated the wall and on the floor.

"oh fuck me" the young man exclaims as the guerrilla was about to shoot him again, only to realize realize he had grabbed the weapons nuzzle, and his hand started to melt it. The guerrilla soldier, now in some fear, ran towards the door, pounding to get out. Then suddenly the door opened, three more soldiers with different weapons ready to fire. The young man was trying to process what to do, until he realized that they were moving very slowly once they were about to open fire. He waved his hand rapidly, yep, he was normal, but this whole thing wasn't.

Only until he felt he lost focus, everything started to move normally, and cover his eyes using his arm. The bullets flew, but as soon as they hit them, they would ricochet in different trajectories and soon enough, somehow hit the three attackers in different spots but knocking them all down. "I have to get out of here" he thought to himself, taking no second to run out of there, but as soon as he turned out of the interrogation room, there were several soldiers, all shocked as to what they just saw through the window. There was an awkward silence among them all, one even dropped his mug of coffee

"so… I'ma head out…"

"head out my ass!" a female voice says as she suddenly tried to take him on, running to him with a knife. The man was barely able to turn around to face her, yet he swung his arm as if he knew where she would strike, grabbing her by the wrist. He proceeded to use his other arm to understrike her, then his leg swung to disbalance her left leg, finishing by forcing the knife into her other leg. The female barely could counter him as he reacted so quickly she barely had time to defend, and fell backwards when pain sank into her leg.

The man took a step or two back as he tried to process what in Sam's hell just happened. When he thought about running, his heart seemed to suddenly race, and ran towards the exit, pushing two or three soldiers out of the way. As he ran, he realized that he was running with an abnormal swiftness, and while a few angered soldiers attempted to shoot at him, the bullets seemed to just bounce off of him.

Speeding through the city in ruins, he finally found a place where he could sit still without being shot at and process his thoughts.

"what the hell happened? What the actual fuck!? Did I kill them?! What did I do? How did I melt that nozzle? How did time slow down!? Why did the bullets ricochet?" and most importantly, how in the bloody hell am I not dead already!?"

Talking to himself out loud, he was trying to figure out something, anything, better yet everything. Then it hit him…

"the sphere…"

He looks at himself, no marks showed he was shot at, a few new holes in his already torn attire. Then he looked up, the sky ever dark as it would appear there would be a thunderstorm.

"who am I anymore…"

As he says this, a bright particle seemed to jump off of him, getting within his eyesight to catch his attention. Once he saw it, the particle rapidly started to move itself in the air, making a single symbol become visible as it left a small trail midair.

The symbol… was the Infinity

He wouldn't fully comprehend, but ahead of him would be a long road of adventure, salvation, and devastation...
