12 interlude 1

"Depending on the rank they were allowed to do anything that was morally accepted. the only thing they could not do, was to challenge the main boss, since I didn't know if this world would end after defeating it. Since we didn't have a time limit, I took my time, and used it to learn a lot of things. And well, time passed until I completed 10 years in this place. Exactly the moment I completed it 'God' sent me an ultimatum. Either I challenged the main boss in a months time, our he would personally kill me.

I was kinda wanting for him to come, so that we could meet face to face again, however it was not the time, yet. So this message has been recorded in this last month, I am about to leave this place and go challenge the main boss. I am bringing with me all the important members and my dinosaurs. I also dismantled most of my bases, and placed them in my storage, since I might need them later.

Well, I leave this base behind, it was not my main base, but it has a strong foundation, defense, and many facilities. I also left many tutorials in the database, you guys can check if you decided to stay, it tell you everything about the creatures here. Most of the game knowledge can be depended, but you will also find many new things here. It's like a merge between all the game maps, since you can find almost all creatures from the game here.

Now you should decide what you want to do, but the only way out is by dying. I suggest you guys live here a little, have some fun, and when you think it's enough, you can try to recover the artifacts and challenge the bosses. If you guys die, you can simply leave this place.

This message gave them a general idea of this place and the many dangers around. Now they had to decide what to do. There were 2 ways out, 1 is to finish the "game" and the other is to die. However to finish the game a lot of work would be needed, and dying… Let's just say that the first experience was bad enough.

So they came to the conclusion that, they would treat it as a vacation, they would look around have some fun, and try to recover the artifacts, if they can recover the artifacts they would try to fight the bosses. However if any of them died, that person should just forfeit the bonus mission.

The first few days, they stayed in the "Herbivore island" to learn about the fauna and flora in the area. For food, they fished and used the farm next to the base after cleaning it. Kano also took the opportunity to learn some of the blueprints that were left behind for them. From it he could now make simple guns and tools.

Wolf took the time to try and tame a "Pteranodon". With the guide Fox left behind, and since it followed the same principals of the game, with his magic it was easy to stop any animal and give time for his friends to throw bolas at it.

After some days, they had the basic equipment they would need to venture in the island while they look for more dinos to tame. They decided to use the boat, since they might need to bring some terrestrial dinos with them.

They took 1 pteranodon for support, everyone equipped, and inside the boat they left the small island for the continent. The sun in the sky and the wind in their faces, giving a good cooling sensation.

When they were in the middle of there travel, Kano noticed a shadow in the water, however it was to late, the we was about to yell, a huge mouth left the water and gulped the boat. It came to fast and they didn't have time to react.

After there horrible death in the bonus mission, Kano arrived in a new world with the first real mission in this "game". The mission was to survive in this world for an undetermined amount of time. It was also instructed that by exploring the would he would be able to find secondary missions that would help him, however many of those were deadly.

He arrived in a plain next to a road, not far east of him there was a forest, and to his left a cliff with a fall of some hundred meters and a huge sea to welcome any who dare jump.To his north a huge and beautiful snow mountain.

Following the tips, Kano bought a map of the area before leaving the white room. With this points of interest he soon found where he was. He was in one main road, somewhere between Ruskan and Everywinter. While he was thinking what to do, he heard the sound of a carriage coming closer.

When he looked behind he was a coachman driving a passenger carriage going in Everywinter direction. The driver approached and stopped close to Kano.

"Hey friend are you lost? By a small amount of coins I can take you to Ruskan." Said the coachman in Ilruskan while rubbing his fingers together.

"How small?" Asked Kano also in Ilruskan. Thank god he bought the 2 main languages of this area, he thought.

"Only 5 silver coins" Answered the coachman showing five fingers.

"2" Said Kano showing 2 silver coins.

"Deal. Get inside and i will take you there. My name is Larry by the way" Said the coachman while unlocking the door.

The trip was short, a little more than 1 hour. In the meantime, Kano asked some question about Ruskan. Larry told him that the city was safe against monsters and creatures thanks to the "Adventurer guild", however it also had its own angers inside. When Kano asked about what was the "Adventurer guild" Larry found it strange since most cities had one, but he explained in the end. There where many jobs that needed to be done outside the walls, like hunting monster for the materials, or simply to protect the commerce between cities. There were also jobs about collecting things in the forest like herbs and special woods. And since most monster were strong not everyone could go there, even the soldiers only patrolled the main roads and didn't dare go to deep in the forest. So a guild was created for more powerful individuals to go there and earn money in return. People would post bounties and this adventures could chose what they wanted to do. Kano decided to pay a little visit there and see how it worked.

When they arrived Kano saw a big city surrounded by a 5 meter high wall and soldiers holding bows and spears patrolling the wall and guarding the gates. Larry talked with the guards at the gate, and with a little coin "exchange" they were able to pass unhindered.

"Do you have any place to stay?" Asked Larry.

"No, do you have a good one? with good food, and a place to sleep? Nothing too expensive"

"I know someone who can help you with that, and with my help they might even give you a discount"

I can't blame them for dying like that, we had to pause the game for around 3 weeks and when we returned they had completely forgotten about the Leedsichthys. And they had also lost in the perception check.
