1 Chapter 1

It was a bright Sunday morning and he was waiting for me in the lounge to take me out. We were planning to go on a date. I was so excited and nervous. How would it feel when someone you truly loved finally asked you to be his date. Wonderful right? So, I got ready and went outside. " You look gorgeous ", he said and took my hand into his. Suddenly, it all changed, into a flashing images of accident, like I am seeing him suffering...

I woke up suddenly with tears in my eyes. I couldn't fight them back, so I let them flow through my cheeks.

It has been 3 months since he said his last words to me. Those were the words I had longed to hear every second of my life even though I heard it often. How could I forget that? The nightmares... they were so beautiful as get to see his face again.

I got out of bed with an unstable sigh and went to get ready for my college. But it's just so hard to forget... What had happened to him...

I remember each and every moment, how he held me in his arms, how he adored me when I expected, how his soft kiss made my body shudder. It's so painful to think about your lost loved one. I too had a true love story where he loved me more than anything, which was the most beautiful thing in the whole world for me. Every time I think about him, which is almost all the time, I feel a sharp ache in my heart, I could feel my heart beating faster.

4 years ago...

It was the previous night of my graduation day. I had a big day ahead.

" Claire...! ", my mom called out.

" Yes mom "

" Go to sleep right now! You have an important day ahead. And stop using that thing! "

" Ugh!! " I groaned, putting my mobile phone away.

" Hey, it's your graduation day tomorrow. Just go to sleep dear", said my mom in a sweet voice.

" O... kay ".

And then I went to my room, changed to my nightdress and drifted to sleep with nervousness. It was like, just 15 minutes passed, and the sunlight burned my hands and woke me up. I got up to get ready for my graduation day. I put on a black pant with a light bluish shirt which is perfect for an event like graduation. My mom said she would definitely drop me at school today as it is my graduation. So I went to school in my mom's car. She kissed my cheek, proud of me and went to the section where parents were seated. I set off to the other side to see my friends.

I saw my best friend Samuel, chatting with his girlfriend, Lucy. As I went near them, Lucy greeted me.

" Hey, Claire ".

" Hey, Lucy. Guess you're taking care of my best friend pretty good, huh? ".

" That's none of your business ", Samuel replied.

I made a face and Lucy laughed at us .

" Hey, when are you ask him out? ", Samuel asked.

" I'm guessing not now, Sam. I'm already damn nervous about my graduation. Don't remind me of him ".

" Then you are going to ask him out during the graduation party, aren't you? ". Lucy suddenly asked.

I blushed a little.

" I haven't thought about that ". I said in a low voice. They laughed seeing my reaction. And then the speakers let out a noise silencing ours. First, it was the headmaster who spoke.

He gave a short introduction to the students and the teachers. Then it was Deen ma'am's turn. She was the one who called out our names to give the certificates. The ceremony lasted for over an hour.

Then there I was, standing near the food court chatting with my friends while my mom rushed to me and gave me a huge hug.

" I'm so proud of you, kiddo ", she teared out.

" Thank you so much mom ".

She was still hugging me and my friends left us alone to give us a moment.

And then I asked, hesitantly, " Is father not coming, mom? ".

She looked into my eyes and said, " I tried contacting him dear, but he is so busy in his work, just as usual. So, don't you worry ".

" But mom, it's been 2 years since I saw him. Isn't that too much even if he is busy. He's not even contacting us".

" We are not talking about this now, Claire. This is your graduation day and you must enjoy it. So just let your sorrows away for this evening. Understand? ".

" Yes... mom ", came my reply but my mind was full of thoughts.

" Have a nice time at the party and don't drink too much ", she warned me with a smile and left the school.

My friends accompanied me soon after.

"Hey Claire, look out there ". I saw the way Renee pointed her hand and there he was standing talking to his friend. He did not notice me seeing him. His light, warm eyes were breathtaking and his face was unbelievably perfect with his brownish-black hair. I suddenly blushed and looked away.

Thank God my friends didn't notice...!

I decided to ask him out during my graduation party. As the party started, I noticed that my nervousness increased in an incredible rate.

And... shoot!!

" Hey Alec man, I think Claire has something to tell you ", I heard Sam's shout.

" What are you doing, Samuel??!! ", I asked to him in a low voice hurriedly.

He shrugged with a huge grin in his face and said, " Good luck, Claire " and went away with Lucy.

Alec was on his way towards me and I couldn't feel my legs on floor. My heart was beating unbelievably fast. He came to me and saw me with a confused and a questioning look. I stood there staring at his handsome face helplessly. I couldn't do anything... so, I asked him.

" Um... Alec, the thing is... would you like to.... go out... with me? ".
