Chapter 27: New Life, New City, and New People!

Lucas awoke about 24 hours from the time he passed out and found that a heavyweight was on his chest, making it quite difficult to breathe.

Lucas opened his eyes to the simple Laundry Mat but something seemed off. First off was the giant Mouse that was laying on his chest sleeping which Lucas shook off instantly.

"Zzzzz-H-hey why did you do that for?!" Lee yelled as he looked quite vulnerable as he sprawled across the ground.

Lucas stood up, ignoring Lee for the moment, and took a look at his surroundings.

The Laundry Mat was simple yet cleaner than before. Not only that but there was also the fact that there wasn't a single root or plant invading the space anymore. It just simply looked like a normal Laundry Mat, albeit a little empty.

Lucas felt his breath quicken as he turned and looked out the window to find that the streets were almost as if the apocalypse never happened...

Other than all the cars being gone, all the buildings looked fairly untouched. Some plants were growing out of cracks in the concrete but it was what would be expected after some disrepair.

"What exactly happened?" Lucas asked Lee.

"Well... Kid... You pulled off some serious magic yesterday. Like some BIG SHOT type of stuff." Lee said as he shook his far trying to get any dust off of him.

"But what actually happened? The skill was rather vague in its description,"

"From what I can tell... You pulled off a skill I have never heard of before, and that is saying something!" Lee said with a grin on his face.

"You got yourself a special class or something?" Lee asked casually.

Lucas almost felt himself nod before something stopped him. It was like something was stopping his head from moving and he remembered the time he tried to tell Lina his class...

'At least I'm not feeling any pain this time...'

"No, not really. From what I have learned it's pretty average." Lucas said while rubbing his head awkwardly.

"What class? I can tell you it's potential if you want," Lee said with a curious look in his eye.

"Well... It's the builder class. Or at least was. I evolved it pretty quick." Lucas answered.

Lee nodded at his statement before thinking for a moment.

"If I'm not misremembering then that class is Evolution Locked at Tier 5 sadly. It's rather useful early on if you are lucky enough but later on, it kind of becomes a joke."

"What have you made so far?" Lee asked with obvious interest.

Lucas felt nothing stopping him from moving forward and sharing so he decided to do so.

"I made this bat here," Lucas said as he pulled out his trusty <Indissolubilis>.

The dark bat slid out of his backpack strap with ease and flicked forward effortlessly.

The bat was just as intimidating as before. It had the strange brand mark that seemed to be foreign to Lucas on it as well as hidden blades on the outer layer of the top part of the bat.

Lee smiled at the bat and crawled up Lucas's leg to examine it closer.

Lucas shivered at the weird feeling but waited patiently as Lee observed the item.

"Hmm... A quality piece of work! Where did you get the materials from? This seems to be Dark Steel or Temporal Steel... I can't quite tell, perhaps it's a combination?"

"Definitley not something a mortal could make on their own though..." Lee said while looking at Lucas strangely.

Lucas felt his face go pale and nodded slightly.

"I just used my skills on it and it came out this way," Lucas said with a shrug.

"Hmm... What skills exactly?"

"Umm... I used a skill called <Fortify>, the upgraded version of it <Fortify: Rarity>, and Imbue, a skill I learned from the class I took that evolved from the builder class."

Lee's eyebrows shot up in an instant as he hurriedly began to speak.

"What skill and class if you don't mind?"

"I learned <Imbue> from a class called <Relic Master>" Lucas answered, feeling a bit awkward as he did so seeing as the mouse was a few inches away from his face by now.

"Relic Master... A pretty rare class. If I believe correctly those who are Relic Masters use Imbue to turn items into famous artifacts. What is the name of the item if you don't mind me asking?" Lee asked while calming down slightly.

"Indissolubilis," Lucas answered immediately, though finding it hard to actually say the word aloud.

"..." The mouse remained silent for a long time before hesitantly speaking out.

"Are you sure that is the name?" He asked, his voice quivering with every word.

Lucas nodded in response.

"You created a Legendary Item while only being at tier 1?!"

Lucas immediately took a step back and widened the distance between him and the mouse as he could feel the breathing of the small mouse increasing rapidly.

"HOW?" Lee asked fervently.

"U-U-Ummmm... I just cast a skill called <Wish>..." Lucas answered hesitantly.

"Wish... But that is a reality-bending skill! How the hell do you have it at tier 1?"

Lucas shrugged his shoulders before replying.

"I got a race upgrade. I upgraded from a human into a Psychic," Lucas answered

Lee's furs began to shake rapidly as he got even more excited.

"So you met a secret Evolution Requirement! Quite rare for a human to actually meet theirs so soon in the competition."

"Hmm... You got quite lucky then. But that still doesn't explain the Legendary item you made. Anything else that affected your crafting skills?"

Lucas remembered something before quickly answering. "I have the title <Forge's Heir>!"

Lee seemed to be getting more worked up by the moment and Lucas was honestly worried that the mouse would start frothing at the mouth from just this simple conversation.

"What?! You created a mythical item before anyone else in the world?"

Lucas nodded with a dumb expression on his face.

Lee took in a deep breath to calm down before continuing to speak.

"You do know what Legendary Item you made, right?"

"Um... Indissolubilis, right?"

Lee nodded slightly.

"Correct. But do you know what it really is?"

Lucas shook his head in response and began to wonder.

'Didn't Nyx ask what weapon I was wielding? Maybe it is important...'

Lee nodded before beginning to answer the question that was hanging in the air.

"Indissolubilis, as the system calls it, has another name. It is known as 'Indestructible'. Or also referred to as 'The weapon of the wielder that can not break'. It gives the user abilities that make him untouchable by the world and though this may not be true in the current world, It allowed the previous user to ascend to godhood." Lee said.

"Unbreakable is a weapon that is regarded as Legendary for now but if you find its upgrade conditions then you may be able to make it a godly item,"

'A Godly Item! I can't even imagine the strength of something so powerful,'

"So... What are the conditions to upgrade it?" Lucas asked hesitantly.

Lee shook his head with regret.

"I don't know. I have good connections but he never revealed it to anyone. The main reason was that he never spoke. I suppose you could even say that his silence was Unbreakable." Lee laughed half-heartedly at his joke.

"Now... back to what you were asking about your new skill. What is it called?"

Lucas tried to say the name out loud and found, surprisingly, that he could say it.

"It was called <The Hammer of The gods>. It was a tier-three skill."

Lee looked at him as if he was stupid before replying shortly after.

"You know Tier 3 skills can only be gained by tier 3 users right?"

Lucas shook his head in disbelief.

"Well... For some reason, I can,"

"Well... I suppose it might have to do with your insane luck," Lee said. "It seems like you are an 'abnormal' as the big shots like to call 'em"

"Abnormal?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, People who have abnormal abilities that others don't have. There was one guy who had unlimited stamina and another who had unlimited mana. Both are considered abnormal. Abnormals usually stay under the radar until the end but it seems like I found you rather early..."

Lucas was about to continue his line of questioning before he heard a grumpy voice from behind him.

"Lukey! What happened? Why is the entire place all clean and nice-looking?" Lina asked as she rubbed her shining eyes and seemed oblivious to the most obvious change about her.

She stayed hovering a few feet in the air as bright blue wings gently flapped from her back.

'I see why they call themselves fairies...' Lucas thought before running in for a hug.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter! I'm trying to add some world-building in as a reader suggested so hopefully it isn't too boring. If you have any suggestions make sure to comment on them and I will try my best to improve!
