Spar 

"Show me what you can do. Try your best to hit me and you can use your bow if you'd like since I did not get to see it when we went hunting."

"If you say so don't get mad when you lose Old Man."

"Old Man huh. We will see."

Alexander drew his bow that had been sitting on his shoulder not loading any arrows from the quiver. This sight confused the Colonel as he watched the bow in the boys' hands. Then the Colonel noticed the boy had no arrows in his quiver.

'What is he doing did he forget to bring some arrows?'

. 10 minutes previous

'Goddammit. I have not been thinking straight after that situation last night. I even forgot to put more arrows in my quiver. Well, this is kind of embarrassing I was planning on wiping the smile off that old man's face.'

'We have an idea. We can use Hades and my basic abilities together. Create an arrow of darkness that can move quickly through the air, but we will only be able to use it one time considering your current strength.' Aether spoke out in their mind.

'I just want to teach that Old Man a lesson don't make it enough to kill him.'

'Don't worry we will not have enough power to kill him with your current power unless we went all out which would most likely cripple your future progress. In other words, we should be fine.'

A dark shadow moved down Alexander's small arms reaching his fingers then releasing a condensed form on the bow forming a shadowy arrow on the drawstring.

'What in the world is that. I have never seen anything like that from such a small boy usually only hunters in the A-level and above can condense their attributes like that. He also has a very rare element given by his soul creature. Just what kind of potential does this kid have and where did he originally come from.'

"I don't see you smiling anymore old man. Do not look down on me."

"I guess it is time to get serious then."

The Colonel's body started to transform as his wings started to erupt from his back. Quickly rising into the air watching the arrow condense onto the bow.

"Here I come." The Colonel stated as his body almost vanished midair leaving only a blur in his wake.

'Well, boys it is now or never. Let us see what this arrow can do.' Alexander thought to the others slowly drawing a breath as he releases his hand from the drawstring.

*Shhhpt*

'Where did the arrow go? Did he over condense his power dissipating the arrow? That should teach him a lesson on who to mess wi..'

*Spt*

'What just struck me?' Looking down at his abdomen the Colonel could not help but stare in awe at the dark arrow that was dissipating into his armor.

'How? I could not see it since it left his bow. I could have sworn it dissipated into nothingness and I even changed the air patterns around me just in case so his arrow would never be able to hit me.' Slowly descending to the ground, the Colonel held a rather stern look trying to analyze how he had been hit.

"So, Old Man you lost. What are you going to give me for winning?" Alexander stated with a large smile on his face thinking back to his first training when he was beaten.

"We will be heading into town later today. Tell your father to come and see me. You may leave and go back home till we depart later to town." Still analyzing his armor, the Colonel left back into his house leaving Alexander to head home.

Captain Collin's Home

"Father I am home. Guess what!"

"What happened? Weren't you supposed to spar the Colonel today? Why are you home already did you skip out on your practice?"

"Has your son ever backed down from anything? Also, I won in the spar today. I was able to land a hit on the Old Man, so he let me come back early. Also, he wants to see you."

"What?"

"Yes, he told me to have you go and see him."

"No, you beat the Colonel? No one under S-rank Hunter has been able to even touch the Colonel in a spar much less beat him."

"Well, it seemed like he wanted me to hit him because he kind of flew in a straight line towards me. I don't know how I was actually able to miss him now that I think about it."

"This is because regular arrows or flying objects do not work against the Colonel as he is able to manipulate the air around himself. Leaving him almost untouchable in the air."

"Oh well, I hit him."

"I will be right back. I have to report."

Colonel's Home

"You asked for me, Sir?"

"Captain we will leave here in a couple of minutes to register Alexander as a hunter so he can check his creature linage and power. I want this done as soon as possible as he should be able to take the test already. The sooner the better so we can report to The Central Government so he can represent the camp."

"Represent the camp in what?"

"We had a discussion about a new generation of hunters are being put together by the Central Government to form a special task force that can unite the Kingdoms which can be seen as a high official policing team. Every Kingdom gets to send 3 representatives for a chance to be selected for the team of 10. Only people between the ages of 7-8. Seeing as Alexander is turning 7 years old this year it should be fine for him to represent the camp as I previously wanted."

"Sir is it true that Alexander was able to land a hit on you?"

"Yes, I don't know how the boy was able to manage it. It may have something to do with that boy's origin as we don't know who his real parents are? He also has a very mysterious soul partner as I cannot gauge how strong the creature is, I thought it was a mere King rank but I may be very wrong based on today's spar. He may have been met with a great opportunity in the mountains that day he went missing."

"Yes Sir, we do not know where he came from but the boy seems good as he was raised here in camp all these years by me."

"Don't worry Captain I am not saying he is evil or a spy. His progress and soul partner are just a bit out of the ordinary and something we should keep to ourselves for now. Well, shall we start leaving so we can get to town before it gets too crowded? I have an appointment for the boy."

Capital Building of North Lake City

"We are here both of you follow me." The Colonel told Collins and Alexander who were sharing a horse.

Stepping into the large building they had been to previously to register Alexander for his identity noticing the same layout of the interior it seemed to have gotten some renovations to make it seem grander.

"We will be heading into the back as I have prepared the test ahead of time for Alexander to take." The Colonel said as he led them into a large black door that seemed rather out of place in this bright exterior.

As the trio walked through the Alexander could now see a large mirror against a wall and clear crystal on a podium.

"Good afternoon gentlemen. I have been informed that the young man has already been awakened with a soul partner as this is fairly rare, we prepared a mirror that measures combability. This way we can figure out if the soul partner did not forcibly go into the boy's body. Then afterward if determined they have been properly infused together, we will check his current power and his soul partner's potential. Then we will give him a token that will replace his previous form of identification. Marking his path as a Hunter also giving him the ability to attend an academy."

The older man who was just speaking now was analyzing Alexander from head to toe. Then a faint grin ran across the old man's face.

"Just this way boy now come stand in front of the mirror. If we see anything besides the boy's figure come out of the mirror, we must immediately begin the separation process."

Alexander's eyes widened at the thought of being separated from his partner. Slowly walking over into the view of the mirror Alexander closed his eyes expecting a large 3 headed dog to be in view of the mirror. All Alexander could hear was silence in the room.

"Okay now let's move on to the crystal portion of the test."

Alexander opened his eyes only to be looking upon himself in the mirror. He could not help but heave a sigh of relief looking upon himself.

'Of course, you are fine. I told you before that we would become one. You are the first human in existence to have the pleasure of being our soul partner.' Aether spoke into their mind.

"Boy over here so we can check your soul power."

Alexander slowly walked over to the podium that held a clear crystal atop it. Alexander felt rather excited for a big showing maybe he will be shown as a child prodigy who holds unlimited power and like in my last life be like those MCs who would break the testing devices.

'Oh, I am excited.' Placing his hand on the crystal he could feel his soul power seething into it. The colorless crystal started to fill with color turning into a dark blue.

"This is very good you have a talented young boy here. With dark blue, we can measure that his soul partner should have a max potential of General or if lucky King or Queen level. His current soul power ranks him in the top 25 percent for his age on the continent making you an E-rank hunter."

Alexander's cocky exterior slowly faded as he listened to the older man speak about his results. 'What happened? I am one of the guardians of this world and I'm in the top 25 percent? What is that?'

'I have an answer for you. We forcibly withheld some of our soul power.' Aether responded.

'Yes, we cannot have people knowing of your true potential and your identity as a guardian as you do not have the means to protect yourself.' Hades added on.

'I told them we should have just blown up the crystal-like you wanted. Overwhelm them with pure power.' Ares said throwing in his rebuttal.

Alexander mentally nodded to the trio in his mind. 'We should keep a low profile for now even though I really wanted to show off as I never got to do this kind of thing in my last life.'

"Little boy aren't you excited this is a great turnout for you. Almost any academy would accept you." The old man said smiling at the young boy who seemed to be stuck in thought.

"Well thank you, sir. When will he be able to get his new hunter badge?" Captain Collins spoke out seeing as Alexander seemed to not be responding.

"Yes, we will have it done tomorrow evening and you will be able to pick it up. We will also be sending his results to The Central Government as they track his identity profile."

"Thank you, sir. We will be back tomorrow."
