1 Before the change

I wasn't too sure what had happened. It went by so fast.

All I could hear was the sounds of sirens all around me. People dressed in uniforms were passing around, as if trying to hold pedestrians back.

One of them, dressed up differently from the rest comes next to me, asking something. But I can barely hear him with all interfering noise circling around me.

They seem to have dropped my body on some sort of blanket, carrying me into what I identified as an ambulance.

...

What happened to me!?

I can't lift my own head cause it starts hurting. I can't feel my legs! Much less my arms!

Damn it! I knew I should of stayed home today and played video games until 3am as I normally do. I had to beat my friends highscore tomorrow and rub my victory in his face. Why must I always get the short end of the stick?

...

Doesn't make a difference now.

The car stops, as we seem to have reached our target destination.

Two men take me out of my ride. running alongside me, pushing people out of their way as they carry me around the hospital halls on my stretcher.

I can barely hold my eyes open at this point. I feel my eyelids getting heavier by the second.

As all fades to black, the only thing I hear are the beeping sounds of what I think are life support machines. Well, that and a few voices in the back.

All of a sudden. I feel a sensation in my right arm. A small needle-like tube goes in, injecting something cold.

At least I still feel something in that arm, I say to myself, trying to reassure my pitiful self.

Slowly, I start to get dizzy, as if falling asleep. If I ever wake up from this, I swear i'l...
