Chapter 1 - Leaving the Nest!

"Are you sure you'll be able to take care of yourself? Did you forget anything? If you did just tell me and I'll send it to yo-"

"Come on now, dear. Akari's no longer a child. I'm sure she'll be able to live by herself" My worrysome father and mother were arguing about whether I can take care of myself...

"I mean, I may be a slob but I can still live without you guys!" I thought to myself angrily.

"Actually I'm living with someone the-" I attempted to inform my parents. Keyword attempted.

"Don't tell me it's a guy..." My Father looked at me with bloodlust in his eyes. Scary...

"Oh come on now dear, when we first met we were roommates in college right?"

My Mom, thankfully, attempted to calm Dad down...

"What do you mean?!?! Our Akari is going to high school! She's too young for that!" Father screamed

"Jeez! I'm living with a girl! And you guys were living together when you were in college?!"

"I didn't know that." I thought.

"Anyways, the taxi is here! Well then, I'll be going now!" I waved my parents off. I won't be seeing them for a while

"Be safe!"

"Please don't leave us!"

-My parents waved me goodbye as I entered the cab and officially started living with a roommate.

"Where to ma'am?"

"To Ochitsu High please! Oh but stop a few blocks before we arrive!"

I told the taxi driver for safety reasons... That probably sounded weird. But I don't want random people to know where I'm going to live.

For the entire 2 hour trip to my new home, I argued back and forth with my inner thoughts to kill time.

"Ma'am, we're here. Just go a few blocks forward and you'll reach Ochitsu High." The taxi driver told me and then stopped the car.

"Alright... Thank you!" I payed the driver and walked away. Wait, how do I know if I'm not gonna get followed?

Probably not, right? I mean, not everyone is a stalker.
