1 Chapter #1: Recap

{JUNGKOOK'S POINT OF VIEW}

"Y/N, don't worry, your brother and the boys will call and inform you about what happened." My grandfather said to calm me as I paced around the room.

"No, I can't just sit here. I feel useless. I want to help, but I don't how. Yoongi hyung won't even let me help." I complained to my grandfather. He's the only"Jungkook, run away," Yoongi hyung said. He hadn't spoken since I called him last night to inform him that we will all meet up at Ye-Jun's Cafe halfway between town and the highway.

"Why?" I looked at him, his face showing the seriousness of the situation. I waited for him to elaborate, but he really isn't making an effort to explain.

"Because it's better to run away than to keep enduring this wicked pain," Jin hyung said, looking into my direction. He had a stern look on his face, too.

"It hurts us to see or to hear that you are suffering and there's nothing we can do about it, Jungkook-ah," Namjoon hyung said, looking down at the motion of spoon inside his cup and then raised his head to make his eyes meet with mine. "Jungkook, you're very important to us and the situation has come to a point where we are urged to take action."

"At most, all of us agree to help you escape," Jimin hyung said, coming out of the thick wave of doubt on them. "You'll be able to move away from here swiftly. We'll mask your disappearance. No one will say a word or will be able to lift a finger."

I felt a creeping hand on mine. I look at who it belongs to and his eyes are near the verge of spilling out tears. "Hyung, please, it will be better for you if you leave." Taehyung's voice cracked as he spoke. His tears trailed behind. He's never cried, not even when he used to fall down and scrape his elbows and knees as a kid.

"We'll still be here and we'll visit you, too. If needed, we'll move there after we finish college." Hoseok hyung said, his eyes gleaming, he still had the courage to find hope, while I didn't count on any hope, no matter what form it came in. "It'll be good, it would you a lot, too. We want to be happy, and your happiness is very important to us."

I nod. "I'll see about the matter," I tell them. I see why they are asking me something like this. I was all because of that. It all comes back to me when it first started all...

[FLASHBACK TO 11 YEARS AGO]

"Dad, I'm scared. P-please, forgive m-me." I cried. Tears are flowing down my cheeks and my cheeks sting from all the slaps I received.

"You should be. Who has the shame to come back home with after beating one of my business partner's son? You just risked my business relationship with them!" His eyes raged in fury and his belt was clear on his hand. "Now, don't you think you deserve a little punishment for this?"

"Don't do this, he's a little 10-year-old boy! He hasn't done anything so bad! He just didn't understand how to respond to the situation. How else was he to defend himself from being bullied in such a harsh manner? He just wanted to stop him; he didn't intentionally mean to hurt that boy!" My mom tried to block him, but he pushed her away and she hit her head against the sharp edge of the coffee table.

"Mom!" I cried even louder, but my dad grabbed me by the collar and pulled me along downstairs, into the basement.

"Ah, both mother and son are the same! I need to teach a lesson some other way. What would you say if you were to help me in a new experiment?" He smiled in a way that you can sense the wickedness of him clearly.

He leads me into a dimly lighted room with a chair in the middle that resembles the chairs they have in a dentist's office. He had a chair next to it, with a large table with a lot of surgical tools. He also had a variety of items that had a decent outer look but were really dangerous. He pulled on my shirt collar harder and sat me down on the chair.

"Now, shall we start?" He asked, smirking and made his way to the large power box and opened the switches. The room got brighter and a machine behind the back of the seat powered up and was thrumming with power.

"Dad, please, don't do it! I promise I won't do it again! Please, let me go this time!" I cried louder this time while he was strapping me into the chair and he slapped me again.

"Shhhh.....And do as I say." He hooked up some electrodes onto my body and pushed me so my shoulder and the seat have no space between them.

"Now, this might hurt a little." He smiled and set the machine to generate 0.015 amperes of

electricity. "Enjoy." He then pulled a huge lever on the side of the machine down.

[PRESENT DAY]

I held the door for Jin hyung to come out and we walked towards the garden on the next street. We all walked, in a horizontal line of 7. I took a deep breath and thought of how to phrase my decision.

"I'll leave after Dad announces the big project completion date and the interview. I'll leave after that. I looked at my right, then left to see any nods of agreement.

"You will?" Jimin hyung said, with happiness shown in his eyes.

I nodded, "I will." I smiled.

"Ah, Jungkookie, our Kookie," Hoseok hyung said and the boys got me crushed in a group hug.

"Yeah, yeah, crush me in a bear hug all you want, my long legs can hold you all up, but if you do it to Jin hyung, he won't be able to do it as smoothly as me, his wide shoulders would lose their balance and he would tip over on either side." I said, watching Jin hyung back out of the hug, his lips in a pout, his eyes trying to send a telepathic message of 'stop it'. He then turned his back on us and walked forward.

"Ah, Jin hyung, come back!" I got out of the hug and ran after Jin hyung. The others ran after me. When I caught up with him, he turned around with a smirk on his face, tapped me on the arm and said, "Tag, you're it. EVERYONE, JUNGKOOK-AH IS IT! RUN!" He yelled and I gladly took the honor of it and went to chase my targets.
