Chapter 15

Right now I am surrounded by adventurers, Loki Familia adventurers, right now we are gathering everybody at the entrance of the dungeon and making final preparations for the descent.

Loki, Hestia and Belle all appreciate my gifts thankfully. When I mentioned I had hand-crafted them they seemed to grow attached to them as well immediately. That should console them while I'm not there.

My primary role for the deeper floors is to help out the main attack force and keep the mages safe from any threats while they prepare spells. Thanks to Loki convincing Finn, I also have another role, Defeating Goliath.

It should still be a good amount of excelia also I kind of want to vent out some anger about the whole situation, ever since my level up, Syr didn't ever visit Hestia's stand. I didn't want to talk to her until after the expedition, I might have the chance during the festivities.

"Everyone, get ready to go into the Dungeon. Goliath Extermination Team, Go inside now! We'll meet you at the usual camping spot on the 18th floor!" Finn announced stoically in front of the large crowd of adventurers

The Goliath Extermination Team was a small team of the Loki Familia executives this time, Gareth, Ais, Riveria, and Me and Raul. Raul was more or less there to carry the camping materials so we could set up before the larger team arrived.

The executives were there to ensure that even with irregularities things would still go smoothly.

I start walking towards a small group of recognizable people talking amongst themselves, who are heading towards the dungeon.

"Wassup guys?" I asked the group from behind, swiftly walking faster to stand next to Riveria.

"We were just talking about'ya!" Gareth exclaimed. I tilted my head.

"Why? What were you talking about?" I asked.

"We were discussing your upcoming fight with Goliath," Riviera explained to the group. I nodded in understanding.

"Well, I don't think it'll be much of a spectacle," I said softly showing confidence, Ais seemed to agree with my words out of everyone here she is the one who knows my strength the best, and we have been sparring occasionally.

"Do you think you can beat Goliath on your own?" Raul who was walking a few paces behind us spoke up.

"If I can do it once I can do it again," I said without looking at Raul, I guess growth is like mine you have to see it to believe it sometimes. Some newbie adventurer who hasn't been an adventurer for 2 months saying they can solo Goliath might sound like a scam, too good to be true.

I can't blame his skepticism, but with how strong I've become, it should be easy.

We had just arrived at the 17th floor I stood before the Great Wall Of Sorrow, Yin in hand, ready for the moment the wall came crumbling down, the rest of the team stood behind ready to help if things got outta hand.

I took a long, deep breath, it was then the wall started giving out, revealing the giant that was previously hidden.

The Goliath let out an ear-piercing scream, but I stood steadfastly. As it broke out of its stone prison I finally made my move. 

Like last time I went for the ankles, to restrict its movements, but unlike last time where I needed my Mind and my body, my body was purely strong enough to help me cut off both of the Goliath's feet.

The Goliath that had started to attack me now fell forward like he was in some cartoon, but that's not where it ended, I started cutting.

Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Down, Right, Down, Left. 

By the time Goliath hit the ground he was cut up into small digestible pieces, though I dont think eating as it is now is a good idea. It swiftly disappeared into black dust after my thoughts.

I felt dirty, so I looked down, and touched my face, I had blood everywhere, I sighed, its the life in the dungeon sometimes, I'll have to wash off on the 18th floor.

I picked up the Magic Stone and the Goliath's tooth that it dropped and handed it to the still in shock Raul.

"Let's go down already so I can get washed up" I said to the team, all of them nodded, except for Raul who was still processing Goliath getting turned into sushi.

When we started to leave Raul finally shook himself out of it and was able to store the drops and join up with the team, with a new found respect for Cain.

{Lefiya's POV}

My group was the first to arrive to the camp, excluding The Goliath Extermination team, which Cain was a part of, but when I looked around I didn't see Cain, he was absent.

I looked around quickly at the faces of my comrade, but nothing showed signs of anything bad, so I let out a sigh of relief. I approached my mentor.

"Riveria, do you know where Cain is?" I asked her innocently. I could see Tiona and Tione who were also in my group start to pay more attention to our discussion.

"He's just washing up right now, his fight was not the prettiest." I got a bit worried for Cain. Riviera noticed and assured me.

"He wasn't hurt, don't worry Lefiya" Riviera told me, I sighed a sigh of relief.

I walked away from Riveria a bit dejected but at least Cain is fine. I started sitting down and preparing for lunch, but suddenly Tiona and Tione approached me.

"Do you wann come with us, promise it'll be fun" Tiona said with a mischievous smile, I didn't trust it, but I didn't want to deny them, they were my elder's so I went along with them, and meekly nodded in agreement.

One of each of the sisters grabbed my arm and heaved me up to my feet, and started running in a seemingly random direction. Luckily for me, they didn't use their full strength. I wouldn't have been able to keep up!

After a bit of running a scent wafted though my nose, a scent of one of the many springs throughout this floor, as this scent hit my nose, Tiona and Tione pulled and shoved me behind a bush, in between the two of them.

I looked to Tiona quizically but only got a finger in front of her mouth, telling me to stay silent, I was confused, Tiona and Tione started peaking above to bush, only taking tiny peeks at a time, always withdrawing with a blush on their face.

Curiosity got the better of me and I peeked over the bush trying to imitate what Tiona and Tione were doing. As soon as I saw what was hidden by the bush infront of me I immediately retreated with a face that you could fry a Jagamarukun on.

Seeing my reaction for my first time, Tiona and Tione stifled their laughter.

I saw Cain, shirtless, exposing his pristine physique that I believe might be better than most gods, he was cleaning off his shirt he was wearing when I saw him this morning. Everything was just so much, his wet golden hair, coupled with his crimson eyes, and a face that still had some blood on it, everything about his appearance radiated charm.

I got anxious though, what if he finds out, will he be mad at me? My mind spiralled with these thoughts.

I got up to leave, letting Tiona and Tione have their fun, but as I was walking away my foot stomped on a stick that snapped under my weight.

It didn't take long for Cain, to use his magic to singe the bush we used as cover, exposing all three of us to our crimes.
