23 Preparations

Two days later.....

"I'm sorry what?" Isagi asked Natsumi who was smirking widely.

"You will have a friendly match against Occult Junior High in two days. If you win, the board will pay the entrance fee to the Football Frontier. If you lose, the team will be disbanded." Natsumi explained to him. Isagi stayed silent.

"All that for giving you a free soccer ball?" Isagi asked him. Natsumi nodded. Suddenly, Isagi had a white circles spinning above his red eyes.

"Gouenji, pass." Isagi ordered. Gouenji who had the ball under his foot flicked it towards him.

*BOOOM!!!!*

Isagi kicked the ball. The ball missed Natsumi but it messed up her hair a little because of the gust of wind the ball created.

"Next time it'll be your face." Isagi growled. He turned back and wanted to walk away but before he did, he looked back at her and pointed at her skirt.

"The color is purple." Isagi revealed. Natsumi blushed and covered her bottom region. She quickly slammed the sliding door.

"Gotcha back." Isagi muttered and sat back down. He noticed that the team was looking at him.

"Are her panties really the color purple? We didn't notice." Shourinji asked. Isagi nodded.

" I kicked the ball hard for a reason, you know." Isagi smirked. Endou nodded.

" We have a match now. So let's get to work everybody. " Endou ordered. Everybody got up and started running towards the football field near the riverbank.

Kino smiled as she ran along with the team.

"You seem happy." Isagi pointed out as he ran beside her.

"Yeah. You and Gouenji saved the team. Without you guys, we wouldn't be getting matches." Kino told him. Isagi chuckled.

"Without Someoka. Our offensive against Teikoku wouldn't work as well as it did a few days ago. You shouldn't leave him out, Kino." Isagi scolded lightly.

" Even though he doesn't have the motivation to train beforehand, now... I see the same burning flames in his eyes as I see in everybody." Isagi muttered. Kino smiled. Isagi looked at her.

" You should consider joining the team, Kino. There are no rules banning girls joining a soccer team. And you're pretty good with the ball as well." Isagi suggested. Kino smiled warmly.

" You're very sweet, Isagi. But, I have to day no to that. My football days are long gone. I actually enjoy managing the team." Kino replied to him.

'Shit. I think I hit a sore spot. She quitted playing football because of Ichinose getting in that car accident.' Isagi thought to himself. He smiled at her.

" If you say so, Kino. But just so you know, we're always looking for new players." Isagi smiled and ran quicker, leaving a smiling Kino behind him.

'The team's improving a lot. By now they should probably destroy the Nose Junior High, which has played against Royal before and is the first team we are going to face in the Football Frontier.' Isagi thought to himself as everyone including him was running laps around the football field.

When they finished the tenth lap, Endou ordered everyone to rest. Isagi sat down with Endou.

"I'm going to go to Amsterdam to compete in a street ball match, Endou." Endou looked at him while he was drinking some water.

"I don't know when I'll go. I would have to ask my street ball teammates later. If it does interferes with the match with Occult, I won't go to Amsterdam. If it doesn't, then all is well." Isagi told him. Endou nodded.

After a ten minute rest, the team continued to train.

.

.

Outside of an apartment in Tokyo, Isagi arrived in front of a random door. He rang the doorbell and Kotaro opened the door.

"Ah! Isagi-san, come in!" Kotaro smiled at him. Isagi smiled and took off his shoes. He walked in and saw Jay and Peter sitting on the couch playing FIFA 20.

"Hey guys." Isagi greeted. Jay looked at Isagi. Peter paused the game and looked at Isagi. Isagi nodded at him and Peter nodded back.

"Hey, kid. You arrived. We can start discussing now." Jay told everyone and moved a bit, letting Isagi sit on the couch beside him.

"So.... Amsterdam huh..." Isagi muttered. Kotaro nodded.

"We are competing in 'The Boiler'. It is the most popular place for street football competitions. If you win there, let's just say your I-gram account is going to gain a lot of traction. " Kotaro explained.

" Wow. It sounds intense. I'm in. " Isagi grinned at Kotaro. Kotaro nodded.

"The competition starts next Monday. So we have to arrive there before that time. " Jay continued to explain.

" But I have a friendly match on Sunday." Isagi muttered.

" Have we already booked the tickets?" Peter asked Kotaro. Kotaro shook his head. Peter looked at Isagi.

"We can change it into a night flight. Are you okay with this?" Peter looked at Isagi who nodded confidently.

"Okay great. Let's go to the football field at the side of the apartment block. We have a lot of things to teach you. " Jay and Peter got up. So did Isagi.

They proceeded to walk to the football field near the apartment block.

.

Isagi was sitting in the bus staring at the skill screen in front of him.

[Sprinting (Intermediate) Lvl 30]

[Ego Shot (Intermediate) Lvl Max]

[Ego Boost (Intermediate) Lvl Max]

[Perfect Ball Control (Intermediate) Lvl 15]

[Trapping (Adept) Lvl 20]

Isagi closed the tab. 'I need a new Hissatsu. One that will make Ego Shot look like a normal shoot. Ego Shot and Ego Boost are the same shoot but do different things' Isagi thought to himself.

Isagi went home trying to figure out what kind of Hissatsu did he want. He still reminded clueless.

"Well. I guess I can figure it out by myself tomorrow. " Isagi muttered as he lied on his soft bed.

He slowly closed his eyes. Five minutes later, he was fast asleep.

.

.

It was the next day. Isagi was in the football field alone. The team has already finished training for today and left the field. "One more day left before the match with Occult Junior. I need to get this new shot done.....
