3 Chapter 3 : Hello Mr.Evans

Inaaya's POV:

I was shown to the 39th floor of the building and how to perform the daily tasks pertaining to my position by an HR executive whose name I forgot.

The floor was redundantly white and grey and I fell in love with it immediately! I have always favoured black and white shades. The interior on this floor was also kept to minimum and had a lot of open spaces added with walls comprising floor to ceiling windows gave a colossal look.

I was informed by the HR executive that I should be expecting Mr.Evans at one after lunch as he is out of the building for some meeting. I used that spare time to set my table which was right in front of the huge grey door leading to the CEO's office.

After half an hour and two calls later I heard the elevator ding. I checked the time and it was only 10:30 AM. Mr.Evans wasn't expecting anyone till 3 in the afternoon and he wasn't supposed to be arriving before 1. Confused I looked to the elevator door waiting to see who has arrived uninformed.

As the doors opened, in came a man with an expressionless face and confident stride. Did I mention how awfully handsome he looked. He had jet black hair and blue eyes adorned on his fair skinned face, his six feet tall body cladded in a tailored suit. Man was he an eye candy!

He abruptly stopped at my desk and looked at me like he was trying to figure something out.

"Who are you? And where is Mrs.Jones?" He asked me with an emotionless tone. His tone wasn't rude nor bored or derogatory in any manner. It was just plain emotionless.

"Um.. Mrs.jones is on a temporary leave for three months due to a medical emergency and I am Inaaya Shah, temporary PA to Mr.Evans." I replied to him coming out of my trance and sounding as professional as possible. The last thing I wanted was to make people at my workplace think that I was some creep

Who loved staring at handsome strangers. *emphasis on handsome*

"May I know your name and purpose? I can schedule you a meeting with Mr.Evans later as he isn't available at the given moment." I asked Mr. Ocean eyes.

" My name is Adrian Evans and my purpose of visit is to run this place" said Mr. Ocean eyes now also known as Mr.Adrian Evans, my boss with a tinge of humour in his voice.

"I apologize Mr.Evans. I was told not to expect you till 1 and I joined this firm just this morning so I hadn't been able to see you before so I Didn't realize." I explained to him, trying to cover my mistake.

"It is okay Ms.Shah. Are you one of the interns here?" Mr.Ocean Eyes asked. I nodded my head in affirmation.

"I believe you have been inducted by the HR about your day to day tasks as my PA, still I would like to clear up the main tasks again. You would be managing and scheduling all my engagements and meetings. Assisting me with all the meetings and taking notes. Answer the calls, reply to the E-mails and only forward me with those which are important. You might also have to run some personal errands for me but I'll try not to pass them onto you as" said Mr. Ocean eyes. He has the kind of deep and soothing voice that you could go on listening to for hours and hours. Men like him make me think that god has been really unfair to others by making them almost perfect.

"Understood Mr.Evans. Would you prefer to go through your schedule right now? I asked him. He nodded his head and asked me to come to his office in five.

Adrian's POV

I was awoken before my Alarm even rang. My body is used to getting only four hours of sleep. I decided to go for a morning run to rejuvenate my brain ahead of a very long day, morning especially.

I got ready for work and left early so that I could drop by at my favourite cafe downtown near my office building to meet my grandmother. She is the only living relative I have apart from my sister. She can be annoying as hell at times but that woman has raised me and my sister in the best manner possible after I lost both of my parents in a car accident 10 years back.

I was sitting at the cafe waiting for my grandmother when a woman with black hair and olive skin tone entered the cafe. There was something about this girl that allured me to her. I couldn't stop gawking at her from the moment she entered the cafe. She had that natural and unrehearsed aura of grace and confidence oozing out of her which allured me more than her looks.

She was blissfully unaware of my constant staring as she finished her coffee with a serene expression etched on her face and got up to leave the cafe. I was looking at her as she bumped into my grandmother on her way out. I couldn't help but scrutinize their whole exchange.

This beautiful stranger surprised me even more. Not only was she confident and graceful which is one of the very rare qualities I find in people nowadays, she was also very humble and polite. I quickly looked away as my grandmother started to make her way inside the cafe.

"I am so sorry for being late. I was greeted with unexpected traffic this morning" said my grandmother as I got up and made my way towards her to greet her.

"It is alright grandmother. How are you doing?" I asked her as we took our seats. We talked about our lives and updated each other about what's new while enjoying our coffee for half an hour before she had to leave for an appointment.

I received the message saying my morning meeting at 10 has been cancelled. I decided to run a small errand before making my way towards the office.

As I got out of the elevator, I was pleasantly surprised to see the stranger from the morning occupying the desk of my personal assistant."
