Bella Arrives

Elijah?" A deep voice sounded from the driver's seat in the police car that I was currently in. "Yes" I answered as I turned to look at Charlie Swan, My adopted father.

I was adopted by him when I was only ten and that was right before his divorce with my adopted mother renee.

I didn't like her.

She reminded me of someone I can't recall, which brings us to where we are heading.

Currently me and Charlie are heading to pick up his daughter, also known as my Adopted sister from the airport because, according to Bella her mother can't stop talking about wanting to travel with her new husband Phil.

Which to me shows just how manipulative she can be to only mention that in front of Bella.

Anyway, me and Bella have only met twice but have talked a lot on the phone, I can't help but find myself wanting to protect her the best I can.

She also reminds me of someone, maybe from before I was adopted.

If what Charlie says is true I just appeared out of nowhere one day when he found me unconscious on the side of the road.

"Did you hear what I said"

"Huh"

"It's alright just get ready to greet Bella."

That's when I noticed that we had pulled into the airport and were just waiting for bella.

While I was in my head thinking about how I would actually have to go to school now because Bella was arriving I felt Charlie tap my shoulder and then point to where I saw Bella walking towards us.

"Bella" I said with a small smile

"Hello Elijah" Said Bella before giving me a quick hug which I returned.

"Hi, Bella," Said Charlie from the side.

"Hi, Charlie," said Bella. After she said that I saw that Charlie's smile wavered a little bit which means he was probably hurt by her not calling him Dad.

Not wanting to be stuck in awkward silence I said "Don't you think it's time to head back"

"Ah, Yes you're right thank you Elijah" Said Charlie.

As Charlie put Bella's suitcase In the back I decided to sit in the back to let them talk, which turned out to be a bad Idea as they both were very anti-social.

When we arrived home I saw Charlie showing her, her bedroom which was the exact same since the last time she was here.

When I got into my room I heard Charlie yell that all three of us would be going out to eat at a diner nearby.

Before we left I took a shower and put on a nice white dress shirt and black dress pants before arriving down stairs, Last as It seemed they were waiting for me.

"My apologies" I say as I grab my black trench coat and begin to walk outside.

"No problems buddy" Says Charlie as he shuts and locks the door.

This time I decided to sit in front and allow Bella to sit in the back.

"Thank you" Bella says to me in a quiet almost whisper-like voice. I just smiled back in return and shut her door.

After we had eaten Charlie pulled back into the driveway to see Billy and Jacob Black getting out of their Truck.

They have always bothered me, They reminded me of little mutts that don't know their place.

"Hello Charlie" Said Billy as he gave me a nod which I returned rather unwillingly for some unknown reason.

"Hey Billy" Charlie said as he turned to Bella and said, " This is a little gift from me for coming to forks."

"What" asks Bella with a confused expression.

"That" Charlie says as he points to a very old and scrappy orange truck that is in the parking lot."

"Thank you" Bella says with a happy expression as she quickly gives Charlie a hug before they both pull back awkwardly.

"I rebuilt the engine for you" says Jacob rather excitedly.

"Come on I'll show you how it works" says Jacob as him and Bella get into the car.

"I'll be heading in Charlie" I tell him as I start to walk up the stairs.

"Are you sure son?" Charlie says while looking at me.

"Yes, I have to go to bed early for the first day of school" I say while looking at Billy who is also looking at.

" Alright then good night" says Charlie

" Yes, good night Elijah" says Billy while looking at me in a very peculiar way.

" Good night to the both of you."
