2 2 Colored Red

Her son looked like someone had thrown a heavy object on him his blood and body parts were everywhere.

There was also water poured on his body it seemed to be hot water cause parts of his skin were deformed. Blood and water mixed together and the stench of blood mixed with the earthy one from the rain causing her stomach to lurch.

She felt sick like she wanted to throw up whatever she ate for lunch.

She wanted to cry and scream and just tear her face off. She wanted to destroy everything in that room. She wanted to end everything. She didn't want to live anymore. She watched as her husband went over and picked up her child he lifted it up and smiled at the dead baby.

Blood spilled onto his face coloring it dark red and said in a voice that made her wanna scream "What's wrong honey? He looks fine to me guess he's gotten use to the weather." She almost cried out in horror.

She looked over to her dead child wanting to yell at him "What's wrong with you!?" but she soon saw her baby was fine and without injury the next second she looked over.

She was surprised and cried out tears of joy and briskly walked up to her husband taking the child into her hands.

"H-honey? What's wrong?" Her husband looked over at her with worrying eyes. The blood that had soaked her lovers face had mysteriously vanished. She replied "N-nothing I must not have woken up very well. I'm just so happy to be with you and our baby." She gave a somewhat dejected smile.

The husband walked over briskly taking her into his arms the hug was warm and gave a light feeling to her. She blushed in embarrassment and pushed away gently he giggled kissing her forehead. He then bit her ear making her give out a tiny squeak. She looked a glowing maroon making her husband go crazy with love at just the sight of her crimson face.

Though he thought his wife was fine she was actually in a state of chaos inside her head.

They soon started to head downstairs slowly for dinner their food was delicious like every night the smell of spaghetti spread through out the house. The husband would compliment the wife every meal they'd then put there child to bed with stories of their own they'd made years ago just for him.

The child fell asleep quickly that night, he didn't have his midday nap because of the storm. The lovers soon made it to the couch both plopping down with a sigh escaping their lips. "Husband." The wife called out."Yes?" The husband answers. " I made somewhat of a quote today, do you want to hear it?"

"Yes." He smiled brightly and the wife smiled back just as brightly "Stories are like glass shards in a river, you'll always be remembered."

The lover blinked and replied to her poem "Amazing." The wife was thrilled she could feel her chest spring with warmth from her husband compliment she loved when her husband complimented her.

She loved everything about him the way his eyes narrowed when he smiled, his laugh that could shake the earth, and the way her husband knew just the way to brighten her day.

She didn't know what love was when she was younger she met him when she was twenty-three a time in her life where she didn't know the feeling of being complimented wholeheartedly, and a time where she didn't know the difference between pure admiration and a myriad of other feelings that could mix into love.

They left the couch after their usual late night talks that they had they both climbed into bed. "Goodnight my honeycomb." The husband said. "Goodnight my little bee." She whispered as she soon fell into a deep sleep.

The wife woke up with a startle covered in sweat she stood upright in a panic. She looked around realizing she was in the middle of the woods it was dark and eerie and gave her goosebumps every time a cold wind passed.

The smell of bonfires drifted in the air giving the place a nostalgic feeling the wife didn't have time to enjoy the smell are the warm crisp air of autumn. She realized that it was supposed to be summer, yet there were leaves littering the ground in a flurry of red, yellow and orange.

The wife's heart pounded in a rhythm of frantic nerves going faster and faster till she needed to start controlling her breathing the wife breathed in out taking in the brittle air slowly.

The wife soon calmed down her uneasy feelings and started to look around. All around was darkness the wife couldn't see past three meters the trees were tall and stood like giants in the dimming gray sky. It seemed like it just hit sundown and the sky was turning darker.

The wife thought that it was best if she stayed where she was for the night it wasn't good to go walking around in the woods at the time.

She walked over to a tree and sat under it she closed her eyes for a few seconds tacking in slow breaths to calm herself. She started to look in her pockets she didn't remember putting on her old hiking clothes before going to bed but she didn't want to think further into it, it was best she figure out what to do at the moment instead of thinking about things she wouldn't find the answer to.

She found a few old matches in her pockets they were damp and didn't look like they'd be of any use with how old they were.

She found a knife, she'd bought it at a farmers market she loved the blue color of it and the slight glimmers it gave off when shone in the light. She found a light blue ball of yarn, it also looked worn but still durable enough to be of some use if needed. She's also found a flash light and some old batteries.

She took out the batteries from the worn out packaging and put the two out of six batteries into the flash light.

It flickered and soon lit up the desolate night the wife whistled in excitement a habit of hers. She soon heard a snapping of a branch she turned the flash light in that direction.

There was a deer it's eyes bounced off the light of the flashlight making its eyes glitter the wife looked closer at the deer and shook with fear. The deer had blood dripping from it's mouth and one of it eyes was hanging by the side of its face it's chest was covered in crimson blood and it was standing on its hind legs.

"Honey?" It called. It's mouth sprayed blood when it talked "Honey! Help!" It shouted staring right at her.
