6 Chapter 6 (The Meaning)

It has been 2 weeks since I visited Adrean, my concern has thankfully decreased. However I have had disturbing dreams, I have not been able to sleep well.

Why? I ask myself every night; It's like dreaming of the future A girl appears asking, "Where is Adrean?" This situation is already driving me crazy. (Sigh)

I tried to tell my mother, but she simply took me for crazy, I tried to talk to my father in the same way but he told me that he did not have time. Who will I go to ?, he asks me while I gaze at the stars. Tears run down my cheeks, I've tried to be the old Jessabelle Jones but I can't, I really can't.

I close my eyes and see Adrean's face of horror when he saw how he killed that man without mercy, that face will never be erased from my thoughts. I want to be the same Jessabelle Jones from before.

I get into the fetal position, I start to cry. I am tired of being feared and hated, that little children stay away from me. Honestly, I would have already ended my life a long time ago, however love for Adrean prevents me from doing such a thing.

I have no other choice, I caused this problem in my life myself. (I start to cry)

Without realizing it, I suddenly fell asleep on the grass.

(Awake) Daylight falls on my face, I can look at the great river that is below the mountain; I look behind me and watch Adrean approach. He is wearing a somewhat odd all-white outfit.

He holds out his hand, and smiles at me. I feel totally happy, but I ask him what we do.

—My beloved Jessabelle, we are about to meet again ... we are about to return— he smiles.

—Where?— And I smile at him.

—To the life. We passed the first test, however it remained pending— and I headed for a great light.

I hear a whisper from Adrean, "I love you."

Abruptly awakened, I fell asleep on the great mountain. She sped off to the mansion.

The image of Adrean in that dream gives me peace, a tranquility. (Smile)

Upon arriving at the mansion she greeted everyone with a wide smile. When I get to my room I take a bath, and get dressed. Today I will go to the job my father gave me.

Gallop to town. In the distance I see the cherry tree. (Smiled)

"I LOVE YOU!" I yell at the cherry tree

I feel the breeze on my face, the sweet aroma invades my nostrils, and a wide smile forms. It is time to live life to the fullest, no more being in the shadows, no more suffering.

Upon arrival, my father is surprised. And I smile at him.

—Jessabelle, what are you doing here?— My father asks as he approaches.

—I have come to offer you my help father. I know you only gave me homework for a while, but I prefer to help you.

—Daughter ... but this is no place for a lady. I gave you the homework, but it was mainly because your mother asked me to. Because of your state of depression— and he puts his hands on my shoulders

—I know, but I like it. Now I come to help, no matter what it is, I don't like being in the mansion and just helping out in the kitchen — and I make a bored face.

My father looks at me a little doubtful, and he finally gives me an assignment. Hours pass, and I find myself eating an apple. Suddenly a child of about 7 years old approaches.

—Hi little one— and I smile at him.

—Hello miss, could I ask you a question— he smiles.

—Of course.

—Why do people rumor you are evil?—And he looks thoughtful.

—Well ... maybe because they don't really know me— and I smile at him again.

—Why am I cutting off a man's finger?— And again he looks thoughtful.

—Mmmm ... do you want me to tell you the truth? I ask, as the boy nods quickly.

—Well, first I'll ask you a question. What would you do if you spend very early working and someone snatches what you got so much effort?— and I squat down.

The child becomes thoughtful, for a few minutes he thinks about it carefully, he watches me.

—Well, I'd take it off— and he makes an angry face.

—Well, what I did is take away what cost me so much effort. And teach him a lesson, he did well. We have to be fair in this little life. If that man had approached me to ask for a job or even food I would have given it to him with all my heart. Yet he went with the easiest thing he found, stealing. That is not right.

—He's right— and he smiles.

We spent the afternoon sharing, he is a very friendly little one. We say goodbye, I watch him walk away. What an extraordinary child. (Smile)

I am in the great dining room, having dinner with my family. My parents touch on some controversial topics, they speculate about Prince Alexandre and me. I ask permission to withdraw, I am a little upset by those assumptions.

Sleep and fatigue win over me. I am asleep, in my dream I am in the light. I wake up slowly, I turn to my right side.

—AHHHH!— She yelled.

They open the door abruptly.

—Are you okay, darling!— Asks a slightly older lady.

—Who are you? how dare you enter like this

I went to my room. What kind of game is. this? I ask him as he jerked me off the bed.

He looked at me in the mirror, I have blond hair and green eyes. I touch my face.

—Lower the tone with which you are speaking to me, young lady, and turn down the breakfast. You'll be late for college— and she leaves the room.

I am stunned by this situation, what is this? I ask myself over and over again. I take any outfit and head to the bottom of this mansion.

—But what kind of clothing is this, and what kind of mansion is this? Who are you?— and I look at my clothes.

—First stop being ridiculous, second it's not a mansion and third why are you dressed like that?— Her gaze is fixed on an object.

She takes my arm and we go out.

—And the horses?—My face takes on a surprised shape.

The lady introduces me to ... I don't know what it is really. I am totally confused, a feeling of discomfort takes over me.

The lady tells me to leave, she says goodbye and leaves. There are many young people entering a large mansion, I am also addressing myself.

—Excuse me for bothering you, I would like to ask you where are the toilets?— And I smile at him.

—They're on the left— and she makes a mocking laugh.

—Thank you.

As I turn around, I hear them whisper.

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE?! How do I get to this place?

I wake up abruptly, my breathing is accelerated. I am completely drenched in sweat. I head to my dresser and look in the mirror, sigh of relief. What a bad dream, it was scary, totally creepy.

It is still night, I leave the mansion and gallop to the cherry tree. I'm tired of dreaming this kind of thing, maybe it's the mansion. I'm sure it's not me, when I went to France this didn't happen.

I will have to find the meaning of these dreams. I'm sure they want to tell me something; I will not return to the mansion for the moment. I can't even rest quietly.

My face feels like something hot pink. Awake, I fell asleep under the cherry tree. It is as I thought it is the mansion, is it haunted? I wonder as I turn to this one.

Upon arrival I go to my room, I am fed up with this situation. Fix it now, or I'll have to leave this place.

I do not even stop for breakfast, I comfortable my corset well and I go out.

—DAUGHTER WHERE ARE YOU GOING?— My mother asks as she approaches.

—I have to solve something, COME ON!— I yell at the horse.

This situation can only be solved by one person, Madam Lous. She is one of the most powerful women, not because of her money but because of her great power of location, she is a healer and some say that she is a witch.

She is the only person who can help me solve this situation, she is very far from the town. But I have to get there, even if I have to ride 6 hours I will.

Hours later I find myself in the great frame of the door of Madam Lous, knock ... immediately they open the door.

—I was waiting for you Miss Jones— she says with a ghoulish smile.

She invites me to come in, I accept. She has all kinds of rare items, she has hanging snakeskin and foxes, how does she get that?

She signals me to take a seat, takes out a kind of cup. She puts it on the table, and she puts more objects unknown to me, she takes a seat, and asks for my hand while she closes her eyes. She begins to shake, I am shocked.

—Fence— she says as she opens her eyes and looks at me.

—What's the problem?— I ask as I look into her eyes.

—You— she says while she looks shocked.

—Me?

—If you hadn't made that promise, none of this would be happening— and she looks at me carefully.

—I don't understand what she means.

—Your future is disastrous, I have made a promise. That promise you will make will be your curse. Until you fulfill it, everything will return to normal.

My skin crawls when I hear those words, what promise? (I wonder while looking at the old woman).

—In her words… will I make a promise?— I mean it wryly.

The old woman sees me without saying a word, after a few minutes she stands up and asks me out.

I stand up, and before crossing the door I stop.

—I don't believe a single word you said— and I see it out of the corner of my eye.

—You will notice, when the cherry tree cries blood when you cry blood. It'll be your curse Jones— and smile.

I get on my horse, I really don't know if I believe him ... it doesn't make sense. It did not solve my doubts, on the contrary they grew even more.

I head to the cherry tree, I just want to sit and think what the old woman told her. Maybe he is right, I am not seeing what the dreams I have had really mean to me, I must look for a sign ... something that answers all these questions.

For the first time I'm anxious to go to sleep, I just want to know why? ... just that. I stand up, but first I stroke the tree.

She headed home, eager to find answers to my questions. As I enter, I head to my room, but a familiar voice takes me out of my thoughts.

—But how graceful He is Prince Alexandre—says my mother.

—Thank you Mrs. Jones— Prince Alexandre says as he sips me from the small cup of tea.

I immediately turn to see the stairs, walking silently so they don't see me.

—Oh dear daughter— and he stands up.

—Hi mother, good afternoon— I say while greeting politely and smiling.

—I hope and you are well, Miss. Jessabelle— says Alexandre as he makes a polite sign.

My mother invites me to sit down. Prince Alexandre proved that he is not simply an airhead, he is a good person; however he would never see it as more than that.

Among my thoughts, they touch on a topic that was not coming. Prince Alexandre is moving here.

—WHAT?!— and I look at him with a disgusted face.

My mother nudges me.

—That's right, Miss. Jessabelle— and smiles.

—But why this town? having my castle in France, live in a village?— I say it in anguish.

—Excellent question. France is not in a good moment, and it is not favorable to stay there. And ... I'm in search of a wife, since the throne will be inherited to me, the point is, I must form a marriage before the throne is handed over to me— and she takes a quiet sip from her cup of tea.

—But ... why not marry a girl from France? I am totally sure that many young women would accept it without buts— I feel the looks of my parents.

—Well ... without a doubt that would be a great option, however in my opinion the young women of France do not have the capacity, much less the strength to bear being the wife of a king— and she looks at me defiantly.

—And ... do you think you'll find what you're looking for in a town?— And I stand up.

—You would be surprised to know that my mother was a peasant and she without a doubt is an impeccable woman—And he smiles.

—I wish you success Mr. Alexandre— and she withdrew me.
