Last One Year

During this year time Red did many things to get himself ready for the upcoming school you could say.

Getting Ye Zong's recommendation, red joined in the alchemist association as an intern and got access to the library and basics. he showed great talent in the eyes of the association.

Later he then became the disciple of Gu Yan, the head of the Association and got training in physical concoction of pills and medicines. this increased his proficiency in making them and gave him a great boost.

You can't just become an expert with knowledge, you also require the skill to implement it, and becoming the disciple of Gu Yan, gave him this skill with great guidance.

He was now able to make basic pills provided by the alchemy association.

He also got to be together with Yang Xin and became her little brother, even if he never accepted it.

they grew close to each other and both would love to spend hours discussing new ideas in medicine and alchemy. Red also liked to spend time with her and they both became a lot closer as they also would share everything with each other.

Red also made her make a promise with him that she would have to marry him if he reached legend rank in the future, which she denied saying that she was too old for him. But up to the insistence and receiving a lecture from Red she finally accepted it, at a promise that until then they would be like siblings and take care of each other as they were both orphans.

later in the evening, Red would attend his daily fighting classes and practice swordsmanship under the tutor. He would tire his body practicing basics and running.

Red would then head home after dinner and sit in meditation for a few hours and got to bed after taking a bath.

Red also got in acquaintance with Ziyun while he was visiting the city lord's mansion and they got along quite well.

They would meet every week and share their views of cultivation techniques and inscriptions.

Red would also tell her stories and jokes. Ziyun also loved to hear about his dreams and things about he wanted to change.

Ziyun was secretive at first but later started to open up with him. She also later said that she wanted to get rid of her engagement and asked red for his help, which red happy promised her that he would do his best to help her.

Red also told her that he would be the one to surpass legend rank and go on an adventure beyond glory city, to which Ziyun got excited and asked that whether she joins along. Red accepted only on the condition that should be at least black gold rank at that time.

Red also met Xiao Ning'er a few times but he didn't get a chance to interact much with her. She was kind of lonely, but red couldn't get a chance to get close.

He resigned it to a later date at the institute as they would be in the same class.

He also met uncle Huang Xiong quite a few times in the city lord's mansion who would always drag him into listening stories about him and his father's rivalry in fights. He was a good friend of his father and had a frank personality which made people easy around him.

He also met Huang Lanrou and for sure she was beautiful, but a little wild like her father. She would tease red all the time and had him be under her care. she was like a wild elder sister who would tease her younger brother, but the first to react if someone hurt him. well, red also then later used to visit her.

Even uncle Xiong one time asked Red to take his daughter as his wife in future but red denied saying he won't do that until lanrou accepted him and till then she would be his sister. but he also promised he would protect her always in life.

The whole year red concentrated on preparing himself. He also had some confrontations with the sacred family but nothing major. He also had a fight with Shen Yue once over sitting next to Ziyun in which he defeated him, but instantly he was dragged out by his brother Shen Fei.

He was also friends when Chen linjian and he was always his sparring partner. They were quite good friends and linjian would often ask his advice in academics.

Seeming the year went by and the next day was gonna be the first day of the academy and the day of commencement of his rise. Excited he couldn't sleep the whole night.
