Kenshin decided to spend the next hour on questions concerning the Hyuga clan, and the Byakugan in particular. Hitomi told him everything she knew without the slightest hesitation. He was surprised by the structure of their clan. And although he already knew about the division into the "main" and "side" branches, the information was greatly distorted and unreliable. In fact, the "main" branch of the clan consisted of one ruling family, and their number rarely reached 15-20 people.
Hitomi told him that it was almost impossible to get from a side branch to the main one, but such miracles do happen. In particular, the great-grandfather of the current head of the clan belonged to a side branch, but had incredible talent and the purest bloodline, thanks to which he was able to rise to the level of Elite Jonin, and having fought to the death with a shinobi of the level of "Kage", he emerged victorious.
The information regarding the Byakugan was at odds with Kenshin's superficial understanding. From what Hitomi had explained, he understood that the Byakugan had a clear gradation depending on the bloodline, however, during the life of the shinobi of the Hyuga clan, the quality of their Byakugan was somehow improved, but for incredibly talented descendants, this happens much faster and easier.
The main differences between the Byakugan were in the range and quality of scanning. Hitomi herself could scan an area three kilometers away, and the head of the clan, according to rumors, could scan an area of at least fifty kilometers. She explained that the members of the main branch of the clan are real monsters, and can easily see through any fuinjutsu of concealment, as well as follow a trail, easily determining who the chakra trail belongs to and where it leads.
Hitomi was not capable of such feats, but Kenshin still considered her incredibly useful, which he did not hesitate to mention, spanking her big bottom again.
- Ah! Come on, every time you touch me, I lose my concentration... - She whispered, lying in his arms.
- We'll continue tomorrow, but now it's time for dinner. - He said with a smile, and slapped her ass again, causing the mature woman to hiss with excitement, and left the room.
Hitomi pouted and rubbed her bottom, then stood up, unable to hold back a smile, and followed him. And although she had been in complete shock at lunch, and had almost burst into tears from resentment, by evening she had surprisingly almost gotten used to the situation. She still didn't like the idea of Kenshin having other wives, but she saw how much he loved each of them, and she knew that she would never be abandoned.
As soon as she entered the kitchen, Kenshin invited her to the table with a smile and sat her down next to him. Natsumi and Aya nodded slightly to her, and Kasumi smiled. Hitomi liked this cheerful girl from the Nara clan, and she didn't mind talking to her.
- Unfortunately, Ichiro and the guys are already asleep, so the celebration in honor of Nakayama Hitomi is postponed until tomorrow. And today we will eat in a small circle. What will you eat, girls? - He asked with a smile, stroking the thighs of Aya and Hitomi, who were sitting next to him.
- Mm, I want fried potatoes with mushrooms and meat! - Aya declared, her mouth almost watering with anticipation.
- I think I'll eat a vegetable salad, I'll choose it myself. - Natsumi said, and looked at one point. An interactive menu, invisible to other people, appeared before her eyes.
- And I want those round things with meat filling, "pelmeni" - Kasumi said with difficulty. Kenshin had noticed long ago that Kasumi liked Russian cuisine, she often ordered borscht, solyanka, pelmeni, and even ate aspic with pleasure, which gave other girls goosebumps.
- Hitomi? - Kenshin asked with a smile, and stroked her lush thigh again.
- Hmm... I don't even know... - She answered and became embarrassed. Everything that was happening was new to her, and the woman who was in charge in the operating room was incredibly embarrassed, having found herself in the uncharted territory of a relationship with a man.
- Let me help you choose. Here, relax and watch. - He said, and stood behind her, placing both hands on her head.
- Ah! - Hitomi exclaimed in fear, seeing an incomprehensible semi-transparent interface before her eyes.
- Shh, relax, this is just a menu of dishes to choose from. Look, here there is sorting by category, by calorie content, by name, and many individual preferences. Choose the right category, what do you like? - He whispered tenderly, guiding her mind.
Kenshin's telepathic abilities were improving day by day, and at this point he was able to at least see through the eyes of his wives and guide them a little in such small matters. This was only because their minds were 95% loyal to him, but even the remaining 5% was more than enough when it came to studying memories or individual experiences.
- Oh my, what an interesting "menu", this is the first time I've seen something like this... - Hitomi muttered, completely shocked by what she saw. She quickly figured out how to navigate the context menu, and enjoyed browsing through the various categories, especially the incredibly colorful images of the prepared dishes. Being raised in traditional Japanese culture, she loved to eat fish, so she chose salmon fillet, and rice as a side dish. Kenshin additionally selected some "greens" and sauces, so that his beloved could fully enjoy the dinner.
"Thank you," she whispered, and stroked his hand.
Kenshin smiled and kissed her gently on the back of her head.
- Pfft, stop cooing, let's eat! - Kasumi declared, rolling her eyes.
- Okay, enjoy your meal, girls. - He said, and sitting down in his place, he began to eat his dinner with a smile.
After dinner, Kenshin decided to let Hitomi rest and gather her thoughts, so she spent the night alone in her room. Natsumi was the first to assess the prospects, and when everyone went to bed, she quietly left her room and climbed under Kenshin's blanket. She wanted affection, but she had been pregnant for a week, so Kenshin just hugged her and stroked her head until she fell asleep.
