The late evening sun shine through the bedroom window that was now Katy's. It was decorated in a black, purple and white theme. It was a really big space with most of its walls painted in purple and it has its own lounge with black furniture and entertainment system, a white ensuite bathroom and walked-in closet. The bed was at the far wall that was painted in black with a bed stand on either side, the bed spread was pure white. There was two bay windows off the right side of the bed overlooking the driveway.

It was a beautiful room, Katy thought as she looked around the room she was going to spend a year in. She walked to the walked-in closet where her bags were waiting to be unpacked. She started to unpack so that she could finish and take a shower before dinner. While she was unpacking she heard a knock at her door.

"Come in, the door is open,' she called out as she hung up some tops.

"Katrina?" A quite voice called out as she heard footsteps in her room.

"In here," she called from the closet. She heard the person walked toward the closet. Then she saw the door being pushed back revealing Jax and Izzy.

'Hi, our parents send us up here to see if you need some help unpacking." Jax explained as he and Izzy walked in.

"Sure I can used the help." Katy said gestured to the many bags still waiting to be unpacked. They each chose a bag and started to unpacked in silence.

As they each unpack a bag, the silence became deafening and unbearable. They kept sneaking peeks at each other while Jax and Izzy gestured for the other to start talking. Unknown to them Katy saw everything out of the corner of her eye.

"Okay, I can't take another minute of silence," Katy turned around to look at Jax as he busted out after about ten minutes of silence. He turned to Izzy and said, "Izzy, why don't you go downstairs for some cookies and I will continue to help Katrina."

"Okay, Jax," Izzy said as she ran out the door. Jax then stood up and walked out of the closet. Katy turned back to what she was doing thinking that Jax have also left. After a minute, she heard a song being played as Jax walked back in to the closet. It was the beginning sound of Chris Brown and Lil Dicky hit single Freaky Friday.

Katy started to hum the beginning notes of the song. By the time it reach the first verse she began to sing.

Katy sang the last note ending the song. They looked at each other and laughed as they both were breathing hard from all the sing. After they got their breathing under control, Katy turned to Jax and said, "You got an amazing voice, Jax."

"Not as amazing as yours. But what can I expected from an international popstar." Jax replied as he took a seat on the sofa that was in the room.

"You knew?!" Katy exclaimed in surprise spinning around to look at Jax.

"Yeah, Desmond told us when he heard that you were coming back." Jax explained as Katy take a seat at the other end of the sofa and curled her leg under her. "He could not stay still after he heard. He was the one to decorate your room with the help of my mom." Jax said as he chuckled and shake his head.

"I didn't know that." Katy replied as she looked down at her hands. She thought about how much she missed her dad.

"So your mom and my dad, uh" Katy said trying to change the topic.

"Yeah, they been dating for a year now. I haven't seen my mother this happy since my sister was born." Jax ran his fingers through his hair.

"Yeah, me too. I never thought that my dad would be with someone else after what my mother did to him." Katy sighed, "But I'm happy he is moving on. He deserve happiness." They both stayed silence for a few minutes, just enjoying each other company.

"Let's finish unpacking, dinner must soon be ready." Katy said as she stood up and stretched. She held out a hand to help up Jax.

"Yeah, don't want to be late. Mom is making Stew Pea." Jax replied.

They continued to unpacked and getting to know each other. Before long they were finished unpacking, they moved in to the bedroom and collapse on the bed still talking. Katy found out that Jax was not only her age but that they will be going to the same school and same grade. They continued to talk as they got to know that they liked the same things; they were fast friends.

"Jax and Katy, Mom said you guys should wash up as dinner would be ready in ten minutes." Izzy said as she ran into the room with a cookie in her hand.

"Okay, Izzy," Jax said getting up off the bed and walked to the door. He scooped up Izzy as he passed her carrying her out of the room. "Later, Katy."

"Later." Katy said as she got up and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. It seems like I made the right choice coming home, Katy thought to herself.
